Today Nightwish released the identity of their new singer Anette, along with some promo pictures of her, the entire band, and some other info. My reactions are mixed, as I do think she captures the new feel of the band, but at the same time im a bit nervous about it.

After hearing the new sample to the song 7 Days To The Wolves I am convinced that Anette will do just fine in her new position as the new of Nightwish singer.

Wow definatly a good choice. *slaps self for doubting the band* lots of musical background. and she sounds different than Tarja. i am so exited. i am downloading eva as i type this. hahaha now Evanescence will never win.

i am actually kinda disappointed in "Anette"....
her voice is good, yes, but she seems to not have the same talent that tarja had.
dont get me wrong, tarja's a b***h, i totally agree on that, but Anette's voice needs some more training.
its just not as wonderful as i had hoped.

She's alright I guess. She's no Tarja but I highly doubt that anyone could be.
All in all, I think she will do just fine. =]

Well she seems intelligent and she is definately pretty. Her background is good but I have to hear her sing before I make any judgements.

I'm just honestly glad that Nightwish did not choose a young gothic bimbo xd
That was my biggest fear, so on that regard, I am very happy with Anette.

I...don't know what to think....
I agree that she lacks the depth that Tarja had, and no one will ever be as good as Tarja, but I suppose I'll give her a chance...I just...I think that I'll probably lose interest in Nightwish pretty fast with this new singer. Don't get me wrong, Nightwish, The second version of the band (I.e. Marco and Tarja) Will always have a place in my heart, but I don't think I'll be able to adjust to the change...

Dear God. Everyone's really startin to look old. For the first, what, nine years? They all pretty much looked the same, then NOW they're startin to show it. Wow....I just saw a pic of Jukka, and tho, probably my favourite, especially now, he looks much older, couple more wrinkles than I remember...

They all pretty much looked the same, then NOW they're startin to show it. Wow....I just saw a pic of Jukka, and tho, probably my favourite, especially now, he looks much older, couple more wrinkles than I remember... If you see him in one of the Wishmaster pormo pictures he... Well, there's a REASON he always wears a hat of some kind. Showing his bald head then made him look like he was nearing fifty gonk

The bandana used to cover it, now it's not doing it's job! KEEL IT! ninja *Has 11 bandanas* ninja Heehee WRINKLEES! Wrinkle wrinkle *Does the wrinkle dance* I feel really weird because I have a very deep sense of loyalty, thus, I was loyal to Tarja, long before this, so I still can't believe that Tarja's that much of a b***h. I really can't. I think it was exaggerated or something. This new singer may be good, but I still don't think they should've kicked Tarja out in the first place.
