On boss battles:
The rules for each boss battle change from time to time. They will be explained in their individual threads. One thing to remember though is that some of them require items you get from previous boss battles in order to battle them. These will be shown on your lore, or if you don't own a lore, there will be a stickied list with the victors that show their proof of killing a boss.
So basically, lets say you take on Brynhild. You beat the first boss but you don't have Sigurd's ring which is needed to fight brynhild. You get the number you need to beat her, but you will still get no item because you did not fulfill the prerequisites. More on these in their threads.
Overdrives:
If you roll a number that has the same numbers in it, like... 55, 444, 222222, etc, you summon an overdrive which allows you to add:
+15 for a double digit +50 for triple digit +100 for four digits +400 for five digits +700 for six digits
Parties:
You'll have an easier time defeating a boss if you go in a party. Only one person can claim the prize, however, but this is how it works.
You post that you're with the person as a team, and after you make a post and a random number, if you rolled say a 10... They then make a post after you to assist you, and they also roll. If they roll a 15, then your total is 25. If they roll a direct number, like for Sann if you need a 30 and they roll 30, then it is a victory blow even if your roll makes it above the needed number.
Stats:
You start off with 100 HP. There are items or upgrades you can purchase to raise your HP, but those aren't implemented yet.
Everytime you fail to hit the right number of the boss, it takes away 10 HP. When you are defeated, you must wait a day to challenge the boss again while you heal or purchase a Yggdrasil droplet (not implemented yet) from the item shop to immediatly revive your character. You can buy them ahead of time if you like, since the staff aren't always online.
