In the beginning, this temple existing deep in the forests growth was used as a shrine by the ancient people of long past. Archaeologists speculated that people gathered here to pay respects to one of their ancient deitys, though most of the ones that came here, were here only for the ancient relics and trinkets it provided them for an easy paycheck.
After the temple had been raided of all its supposed glory, it was left barren. Due to the small size of this temple... Or at least what seemed to be the temple, tourists would most likely find it to be an uninteresting place. Besides the unown writing on the walls, it lacked the finesse of other culture's glorious temples to their gods. It seemed strange to the Archaeologists at the time, but as previously stated, they most likely didn't care about much more than the size of their wallets.
But if one of them were to read further into this place, they would have realized it was not built to be a shrine.. But a prision for a deity long since forgotten. An almost uncontrollable beast that had threatened their existance.. And may have been the one who caused the civilizations expiration.
Above the small, door-like enterance, there are big, bold, letters that have eroded just enough to make it difficult to read:
Interesting enough. Though, among the text, there seems to be only one wall that hasn't faded. In fact, it looks as if it had been carved into the wall just the previous day before. The wall in the very back of the small temple exists the most peculiar text:
What does it all mean? That's up for those trying to decipher the ancient writing to decide. And since this particular ancient monument rarely gets any visitors, its secrets have kept safely to themselves... For now, that is.

Another rainy day in the unnamed forest Riyo usually took refuge in. She had been planning on sleeping under the stars tonight, but it looked like that wasn't going to be a possibility. No problem, though. She always had a backup place when the weather was unsavory to her. Running as quickly as she could through the damp grass with a flood of water coming down on her, she finally reached it. The little temple she had discovered while exploring one day. She smiled and quickly ran in, her red absol Calamity following close behind her.
Riyo shook a little as she walked in, a bolt of lightning striking the ground and illuminating the temple. She gently took Ri-chan off her shoulder and sat her on the ground, then looked down at herself. She sighed. "I'm ******** soaked.." She mumbled and started taking off her trenchcoat, throwing it to the ground with a splat, then putting her tophat down on it. Her black cat ears twitched from actually getting some air. God, she hated hiding those things. She rubbed her ears a little and shook her head. Her hair was all messy now.. Her black tail swayed back and fourth close to the ground. The darkness in the little temple didn't bother her.. Since she had no problem seeing in the dark.
Calamity trotted over to another corner of the small temple and sat down, shaking himself off as well. Such a pleasant day turned wrong... He would rather be camping out than in this place... Something about it... Just didn't seem right to him. At least while he was in there with Riyo. It was like something stirred every time she walked in.. And he wasn't sure if that was a good or bad thing.
Ri-chan walked into the middle of the temple and started shaking off. Blah! She hated to be wet just as much as Riyo did. She paused and trotted over to Riyo's pile of clothing, dumping off her tophat and scarf, then laying down on the hard temple floor. Like her owner, she was a bit oblivious to the temple.
Riyo sighed and adjusted her black tanktop, then sat down on the ground hugging her knees. She always felt so naked without all her extra clothing on to hide herself. Like she was exposed to the public and they could easily see all her scars and secrets. Luckily, she was alone.. Besides her trusty pokemon, of course. So it didn't bother her too much.

(I think I'll just do this myself. xD)
After a few hours of simply sitting, Calamity got nervous and started to walk around the empty temple. There really wasn't much to explore, but there was so much writing on the walls that there was something interesting at every turn. Most of it was faded. Hard to make out... He could read the letters of the unown. It had been apart of his "training". Though they had never actually explained the significance. All along the walls, he could pick up bits talking about a great diety. Ruler of time. Monstrosity. Terrible. Destruction. One. Doom. Destiny. The usual cliche temple stuff. Then, the back wall caught his eye as another bolt of lightning illuminated the temple.
RED EYES AWAKEN THE BEAST WITHIN. It was like an echo. He let out a large gasp which could be heard throughout the whole temple. He slowly backed up and stared at the text.
Riyo's ears perked up at the large gasp. She quickly looked over at the shocked absol. Wait. Calamity? Shocked? That made absolutely no sense. Something was wrong. "Calamity?" She called out to him and stood up.
Ri-chan also heard the gasp and blinked. "Nya?" What's wrong? She asked him and slowly stood up, approaching with slight caution. She knew Calamity well enough to at least realize that nothing suprised him.
Calamity quickly turned his head to them, then began frantically looking around at the text. It didn't make complete sense, but he knew that something bad was about to happen. He had to prevent this. He had to prevent this disaster from happening. He turned to Riyo angrily. "GET BACK." He shouted.
Riyo stopped in her tracks. Calamity had spoken?! "W-what?" She asked, eyes wide open now.
Calamity was panicing now. Something in this temple. It was frightening him. Badly. He was trained to be calm. This wasn't good.
"Calamity. Settle! Tell me how I can help you!!" Riyo yelled to him. Something was deeply wrong with Calamity and she didn't understand what. Slowly, she started approaching him. He was right next to that wall. That wall with the strange text. As she got closer, and another bolt of lightning struck, she noticed it. What the...?
Ri-chan frowned and chased after her trainer. What was happening? She was starting to get an eerie feeling...
Calamity was growling now. "DO AS I SAY. GET BACK."
Riyo thought about doing the intelligent thing and staying back. Pokemon WERE more in tune with what was happening.. Especially an absol. But. Something was pulling her towards him. Or rather, toward that area. She even attempted to stop once, but her feet kept moving. As she approached him, she glanced over at the wall again. Only this time, she couldn't look away. "Wha...?"
As she read the text to herself, the letters began to glow red as her eyes looked over them. And after she finished, the whole wall glowed a menacing crimson. She quickly picked up Ri-chan and started to back up. Then she noticed Calamity.
Calamity had tried to stop her. Really he had. But it was too late. He cringed as the wall started to glow. Because as it illuminated the cave, his red markings began to glow as well. "Nngh..." He mumbled and fell over in pain.
"Calamity!" Riyo shouted and ran over to him. That's when the glow overtook all the cave, and for a moment, Riyo, Ri-chan, and Calamity all whited out.

When the trio woke up, they didn't recognize anything they saw. The temple was... Huge. Riyo slowly sat up and looked around. Where... Were they? She looked behind them. There was a huge set of stairs that seemed to only lead up to darkness. Had they... Fallen down those stairs?
Ri-chan was second to wake up. "Nyah..." What... Happened? She asked. This place.. Looked untouched by the years. It seemed glorious in comparison with the place they had been in previously. There were pictures carved into the wall. And the celing was far above them. The ground was stone tiles. And there was a slight illumination coming from each direction. What it was from seemed to be a mystery.
Calamity woke up next and struggled to his feet. His body.. It hurt. He didn't understand what was happening. He should've. This is what he had trained for, wasn't it? Wasn't it? And yet, he couldn't do anything. He could barely stand.
Riyo stood up and sighed. "Well..." She began and looked back, then forward at the seemingly unending hallway. "Something wants me down here." She could hear a voice whispering softly in her head. It was begging her to come closer. She frowned. To make a choice she knew would be devastating, or to leave and wonder what it was for the rest of her days? She had done that before, and she wasn't about to do it again.
Calamity looked up at her. "Please... I beg you.. Don't." He forced the words out. He wasn't used to physically speaking. But it seemed the only way he could get her attention.
Riyo looked down at him with a large frown. "Calamity... I don't know what's happening to you.. To me.. To us. But.." She paused, then looked forward again. "Something.. Is beckoning me forward. I can't rightfully deny it.. Or my curiosity. You can stay if you want. I have to do this.." Destiny. It was a word she didn't believe in. A word she didn't want to believe in. Because everyone had told her that it was her destiny to cause pain to anyone and everyone she came in contact with. That was the curse of the black cat. But. She felt like this was supposed to happen. That she couldn't go back even if she desired. That's when she took one step forward, and knew that all hope of turning back had just been shattered.
"B-but.." He started and frowned as he watched her begin walking. It was too late for him to try and stop anything.... Some guardian he was. Wincing, he quietly followed her along with Ri-chan. The least he could do.. Was try and make sure she didn't get hurt.

After less than an hour of walking, Riyo came upon a giant stone doorway with more writing and carved pictures.
Riyo stared up at the massive doors, pondering how the hell one would open such gigantic things. Her eyes slowly moved to the text right in front of her. And slowly but surely, they began to widen the more she stared. What... Was this? There was a humanoid figure with horns... No, cat ears? Along with a carving of a small and large pokemon next to it. It was them. Destiny... What a concept. An unescapable event that had been long since planned without the knowlege of the person it involved. She looked up at the door again. It was... Her whole life.
She fell to her knees as she stared up at everything. Life... Was so cruel. All of this. All of it had been predicted. All of her suffering.. The death around her. Everything. Red tears fell out of her eyes. "Why?" She mumbled, her hands quickly reaching up and covering her quivering eyes. "WHY?!" She screamed, listening to the loud echo as it repeated over and over again.
Both her pokemon stared up at the wall then looked at her. This.. Has to be a cruel joke.. Ri-chan thought to herself. It all seemed impossible.
Though for Calamity, it was real enough. His life had been planned out. By "destiny". It was all too real to him. A pawn to a higher being. That's all they seemed to be.. But, the question was, what being exactly?
The world is cruel to you because someone has to bare the burden.. A voice whispered in Riyo's head. Why not someone who's already doomed to misery? Riyo's eyes looked up from her blood covered hands and to the door. Who... Was that? You suffer.. So other people can live their lives happily.. And ignorantly. The doors slowly began to open. We can change that, though. You and I. I've been waiting for you so long.. My master.
As the doors opened, a loud, unforgiving roar could be heard from the inside, which seemed to speed up. Calamity looked toward Riyo, who now seemed to be in a transe, and cringed. "No.." He mumbled and tried to pull her away by the back of her tanktop. She wouldn't budge.
When the doors were finally open, the bright light faded. There stood possibly the largest pokemon any of them had ever witnessed. Dialga. The pokemon that can control time.

Come..
Let us punish the world for how unfair it has been..
To both of us.
Riyo slowly stood to her feet and began to walk toward the large pokemon, her eyes glowing. Dialga watched as she moved, a grin across his huge mouth.
"No!" Calamity shouted and chased after her, but was stopped by Ri-chan. He looked down at her in suprise. What was she doing?! The skitty was transed.. Just like her trainer. Was their bond that deep? "I don't want to harm you.." He mumbled toward her, his eyes narrowing when he got no response.
You will not stop me. No one can. My "master" is even too weak. Her heart is burdened with pain. She'll cave in to even the softest nudge.
Riyo was now standing directly in front of him. Her eyes staring up at the beast, eyes locking with his.
Calamity quickly knocked Ri-chan over and ran over to Riyo. His body hurt so bad. Was it this place? Or was it just him? "Wake up! Wake up Riyo!" He shouted and lunged for her, hoping that the impact would wake her up. Then something unexpected happened. Riyo quickly turned around and attempted to punch him away.
For a moment, time stopped. Calamity was so shocked.. At what had just happened. Riyo seemed to realize what she had just done. Her eyes widened once again. No.. She thought at the point of impact. What had she done? What was she doing? What had just happened to her? This.. It proved everyones words to be true. By doing this. She was really an ugly person on the inside. As time was frozen, Calamity's markings began to glow again, and a bright light overtook everything in sight.
As Riyo came back into focus, she was standing there, her arm outward. She had one it. Calamity lay limp on the ground a few feet away. But... There was something in her hand. She looked at the spherical object. It looked to be a pokeball.. An ancient one at that.
Let me roam free master.. The Dialga pleaded in her mind. We can change everything...
Riyo looked up at him and shook her head. She was frightened. In fact, her body felt frozen. Taking on this burden meant her life... Her life wouldn't be the same. Why? Why would she do this anyways? Did she really care about the rest of the world or what happened to it? No... She didn't. But.. As the beast had said already. She was already miserable.. With those thoughts, she broke herself from the fear.. For just that brief moment, and tossed the pokeball at it.
NO. He roared as the ball hit him and the gigantic beast was sucked in.
Riyo watched the ball struggle for a minute on the ground where the massive creature had been. Then let out a sigh of relief when it stopped. She silently walked over to the pokeball and picked it up. Could she do it? Could she actually.. Keep this creature for the sake of a world who never appreciated her in the first place? She frowned at that thought. At the very least... She could try. Her sacrifice may not be noticed.. But at least it proved that.. She wasn't as ugly inside as she might've thought.
With that, she gathered up both of her injured pokemon and left the temple. Night had turned into day during their "adventure". And though she wasn't sure of what to do after this, she'd figure something out as she continued along.

In the weeks following the fiasco in Paramount City, Riyo had taken up residence in the peaceful, and almost abandoned forest surrounding the temple. She'd made it a home. All of her personal belongings were neatly set up in the temple, and there was a camp just outside. She didn't have to worry about people seeing her or her pokemon, since the trees were taller than Horatius out here.
At the moment, she was in the middle of cooking up some food. It had been awhile since she'd gone fishing, but with the help of her pokemon, they didn't do too bad.
All of them sat peacefully around the fire she'd made, watching the fish cook. And Riyo was propped up against the huge Dialga, who stared at the fire intently while his head lay on the ground.
"They should be almost done." Riyo commented, her voice much more quiet than usual. She didn't have to speak loudly to be heard in such close quarters.

After recovering from his injuries, Blade had just been wandering around in general. He worked on improving his relations with his pokemon, as well as training somewhat over all. For now, he made his way into an ancient forest which was quite a contrast from the cities he was spending time in not too long ago. The peace in the area was fairly refreshing, and he knew if he let Blood Vain out at all, there was a small chance that anyone would be caught up in any chaos caused by him.
That aside, he hadn't been here before, so just exploring a new area was nice as well.
For now, he had his fire types and his butterfree out from their pokeballs. Freedom, especially, was enjoying the clean air of the woods. Not to mention that he felt more at home amongst the trees. Gouku was out ahead of him some, running around here and there but never straying too far. Kaen and Fou Gai stayed by their trainer however, strolling at a leisurely pace.
He would have unleashed the blastoise too... but he didn't really feel like running around or taking a few hits for the time being.
After some time of walking, Blade paused a bit as he noticed Gouku sniffing the air. The little fire monkey then turned towards him, jumping up and down somewhat.
"Something smells really good!" he practically shouted, breaking through the silence. And without another word, the monkey practically bolted off towards the source of the scent.
"..?! W-Wait!"
So much for not having to run. With a sigh, the thief glanced at the two fire types by his side before dashing off after the Chimchar to make sure he doesn't end up getitng himself into trouble.

Riyo blinked and looked at Horatius, who didn't move, but looked in a certain direction.
Lancelot promptly stood up and grabbed his trusty stick. "feer not mladie i will taek care of wutever it is !" The little Riolu shouted and charged towards whatever it may have been. Bravery? No, more ignorance than anything.
"Lancelot wait!" She began to stand and chase after him, but simply sighed and plopped back down. "Calamity, could you follow him for me?" She asked softly and looked up at the absol.
Calamity had been resting himself, but stood without thought as Riyo called him. He gave a nod and charged after the overzealous pokemon.

It was at least easy to keep the bright orange monkey in his sights, but the little chimchar was still pretty fast. So to help keep track of where went, Blade sent Freedom out ahead to follow. Also at that point, Fou Gai and Kaen had fallen behind some, seeing how their short legs made it hard for them to keep up well.
As he got closer, Gouku was able to smell the delicious food better. And he soon was able to see something headed in his direction. It was a bit familiar looking. And a little closer... he recognized who it was.
"LAAAAAANCEELOOOOOOOT!!"
With glee of seeing a familiar friendly face, the chimchar leapt up towards the Riolu to pounce him.

As Lancelot spotted the thing charging towards him, reality fuzzed out. when the 'monster' leapt, he too took to the sky...
And CRASH. They collided mid-air.
When he sat back up from the collision, his eyes came back into focus while he rubbed his head. " o hai gouku ."
Calamity quietly watched from the bushes, not wanting to be spotted just yet. He knew this monkey. He belonged to that trainer named Blade. Which most likely meant the man wasn't far behind. What would come of this? He wasn't sure Riyo really wanted any company as of now...

After the collision, Gouku bounced on the ground a bit before sitting up to grin widely at Lancelot.
"Hey Lancelot! What are you doing all the way out there? Are you after the delicious foods too?"
At this point, the butterfree had caught up, and he seemed to be a bit panicked about what had just happened. As a result, Freedom was fluttering around in a spastic pattern over the other two pokemons' heads, speaking fairly quickly while he was at it.
"Gouku! A-are you alright..? You shouldn't go running off like that... th-there might be monsters! Or a swarm of b-b-beedrills!"
"You really need to not bolt off like that Gouku..."
Blade had shown up to the scene feeling a little winded. It wasn't before long till he saw Lancelot there on the ground with Gouku. He was pretty surprised to see him, as he wasn't expecting any familiar faces around here. But this also meant that Riyo was somewhere in the area most likely.

Lancelot slowly stood up and looked at the monkey. Delicious food? No, he already had some. " uh ... im not ackshually sposed to say ." He said in relation to the question of what he was doing out here, glancing back the way he came. He'd been told to be very hush hush about where they were currently staying. And not to blurt it out to anyone.
Then Blade showed up. Lancelot stared up at him nervously. "oops . " he mumbled, now regretting his sudden charge.
Calamity sighed at the appearance of the man and, trying not to draw attention to himself, darted back to their campsite.

Gouku stared at Lancelot, tilting his head a bit. He wasn't supposed to say? That was odd. But then, his eyes started to widen as he started to get several ideas of what was going on here.
"Oh oh oh!! Is it because you're now a part of a super secret pokemon organization with a super secret hidden base!? Can I join? PLEEAAAASEEE"
Hearing this, Blade practically face palmed himself. But he decided to try and ignore the hyper monkey's speculations. And for a moment, he glanced around to see if he could find where the Riolu came from. But he failed to spy anything in the immediate area. Ever since the Team Rocket bust, he had completely lost track of where the others had gone. He would like to see if they were doing alright though...
Either way, Lancelot didn't exactly seem too happy to see him and his pokemon.
"Is there something wrong Lancelot? And where's Riyo?"

Lancelot thought about what the chimchar said and rubbed his non-existent chin.
"ok u can join but u got to remembr that i'm the koolest pokemonz around "
Surely if they thought that it was a super secret club, Riyo wouldn't get mad at him for bringing them back. His logic was flawless, no?
" heer i show u our sekret club ." He said with a smile and began trotting to the camp.
Riyo facepalmed herself when Calamity returned with the news. "Oh Lancelot. Sometimes..." She knew they'd be here any moment. And thus, she didn't move.
