He's a shrimp.
Eh, he's alright but his attitude, anime-wise, kinda annoyed me but he turned out to be an alright
Why is Ed the center of most pairings in Fullmetal Alchemist?
He's the main character and seems to stand out the most of all FMA characters.
Who do you like Ed to be paired with?
Me, I mean, Winry of course. rolleyes
Either that or Alphonse.

On what level is Ed a genius? Is he a genius? On what level is he an average teenage boy?
He's a genius when it comes to alchemy but other wise he's hot tempered and tends to charge into things without thinking.
How has Ed changed throughout the anime and manga series?
At the beginning of both he was hot tempered, always getting angry at who ever calls him short and always thinks his way is right.
At the end, he becomes a more mature person and thinks more of others.
If could ask Ed one question, what would it be?

Wow. So I totally forgot people are expected to post answers to the questions. Since I didn't really join until after the threads were made, I didn't ever answer them. *edits the Roy thread* Wow, I need more questions, then.

When my cousin told me about FmA without any pictures to guide my brain, I had a completely different opinion of him. It changed when I started to read the manga. Anyway, since I read the manga first, I have this impression that Ed is total love.

Um. I think Ed is a genius... when it comes to alchemy. And I actually have this impression that when Ed thinks about something, the things he comes up with are brilliant, even if they aren't related to alchemy. But anyway, like Axel said, if he doesn't think, bad stuff happens. :3
And I think Ed pretty much gave up being normal when he joined the military. I mean, he's asked Al before what he wants to do when he gets his body back, but we've never really heard what he wants to do. This doesn't make him "not normal", of course, but...

If we're talking about the anime, wow. Ed changed a LOT. I mean, he's dynamic. xD At the beginning of the anime, I almost had this impression that he was naive and innocent even though he'd already gone through that other stuff.
Anyway, in the anime, I always thought he was prety devious to begin with, and as such I think he hasn't changed quite as much. Still, um, I'm ranting, so I'll save it for now.
If could ask Ed one question, what would it be?
I have absolutely no idea.

In the last thread we had a question about if Ed should be allowed to own a pet, how soon it'd die under his care, and what the animal would be. I was adament from page one that Ed should own a falcon. The discussion came up a few other times and on page 100-and-something I was still saying that Ed should own a falcon... xd
The discussion questions aren't mandatory of course. They just give people ideas for things to, well... discuss. xd A lot of people answer all of them anyway though.

Ed is probably one of the most interesting and influencial characters I have ever come across. He's got a good balance of angst, cunning, charm, hotness, humor, and toughness that makes him well-rounded.
