This is the health forum, and mental disorders are a health issue, so I thought this was the proper place to put this.
Does anyone here have any kind of mental disorder at all? I have ADHD, social anxiety and I have alot of bipolar symptoms. I also have a very bad temper.
Does anyone here have any mental illnesses, from barely noticeable to severe? Anyone ever been to a psychologist or anything similar before? Anyone NOT have any mental illnesses, but know anyone that does?

I know some people with ADHD. And my ex bf had General Anxiety Disorder or something. He had some schizophrenic symptoms too. He had these weird freak out and they scared the crap out of me.
I'm mentally healthy as far as I know.
I want to be a psychiatrist

Nah, all I have is a minor case of OCD and chronic depression (which spans 2 years and stops, etc.)

Those are actually a pretty big one. Some people have complete mental breakdowns because of those.
There was this one case, and this girl had aracnaphobia, and there was a spider on the door of her bedroom. And she stayed in that room for about six hours, because she was afraid to go near the door. She had about... ten panic attacks and a mental breakdown at one point over a little spider. Her husband finally came home, and he killed the spider and had to wash down the door.
It's pretty interesting, if I do say so myself.

totally. i have a phobia of whales and this past year, i feel like there have been a ton of things about whales. commercials, movies, that ******** humpback whale thing. i mean, damn.
i freaked out watching happy feet because i knew there were whales in it, but i wasn't sure when so i spent most of the movie dreading the moment they would surprise me.

I don't have any mental illnesses that I know of but I have to admit, sometimes I have to question my sanity. xD;;;

:To [heart attack]:
I know exactly what you mean.
I have a huge fear of anorexics (like, how thin their bodies are and stuff) and some pictures of outer space. And of course, my mom just has to watch a show about anorexia -pictures included-. I'm suprised that didn't give me a heart attack.
And then my mom had to show me pictures of nubelai from outer space, and for some reason, this one picture just made me panic. o_o; It's weird, because not all pictures of outer space do that, but certain ones do.
:To Hanafly:
Since when has someone not questioned their sanity? xD

As far as I know I'm mentally healthy, unless a minor case of chronic Insomnia counts.
I know several people who have ADD or ADHD, and my uncle has a major fear of the ocean or any large body of water, like a lake or a river, but he can handle pools and streams just fine. It's really weird.
I've always wanted to learn a bit more about phobias, but I wouldn't want to be a psychiatrist. D=

Also, when I'm ree~eeally angry, I get very... violent. I hit my dogs alot (not hard. xD;; ), and I throw my books at my bedroom wall.

I think I have a Tic disorder. They say it comes from some of the OCD symptoms I manifest. It's rather annoying.

@grin. speaking of my phobia. i went to go talk to this lady at work today and she had some lame motivational poster with a giant whale on it. gah. i freaked out and hid behind my dad. it was pathetic.
maybe you're afraid of vast, open spaces. i forget the name of it. unclaustrophobia. jaykay.

I don't think if I'm mentally stable or not, I really think I have bi-polar. When I'm happy, I'm literally over the moon, when I'm upset, I'm extremely upset. & it was all triggered by the death of my father, even though I've had 6 months of councelling for that.
