Now a few of you might remember me, but I'm sure a lot of you don't. So to refresh your memory, Dante Locke created this guild, at the time he couldn't keep it up so he handed it over to me, and in turn I soon left gaia to pursue crypticradio.com a juggalo radio website that competed with hatchetradio.com for about a year.
Now I want to know your honest opinions, Do you think ICP has sold out?
I personally believe they do for a few reasons:
1.) They don't care about their fans like they used to. Occasionally they make promises of free tickets or the likes, and then proceed to break those promises. I know a handicapped guy who was told hed get free backstage passes because he was immobile at the gathering due to the rain. J promised some free backstage passes at the mineapolis show, but when the time came he only let the guy get in the show free and gave him a free t-shirt... i mean okay he got some free s**t, but they still broke a promise... I've met other people who have experienced similar situations as well, so its not just a one case scenario.
2.) They ******** over the rappers on their label. Esham left and ABK left because they both got ******** over financially, they weren't getting what they were promised and the contracts they were given were s**t. Esham was NOT allowed to call himself "The Unholy" a name he went by for years before Psychopathic. Also AMB's album "Blood In Blood Out" was written partly by J. (I've met AMB before and that is NOT exactly their music... if you have access to The Unforgiven Forest - that is a GREAT album.) Also Boondox is FORCED to do the redneck thing as a gimmick...
3.) Twiztid is way better in my opinion, and a lot of the side projects they have tried to get going have been cut because Jay chose to put more money towards his own albums rather than his label mates.
4.) I feel that there are a lot of other "horrorcore" artists that can do the "wicked s**t" alot better than ICP... I feel that they should keep their label going but sign a bunch of new artists...

well...I don't think ICP personally is selling out...I believe it's just Violent J. As you mentioned above, he seems to be the only one screwing people left and right. Honestly though, I think Shaggy is doing everything he can to make it so J doesn't run the place into the ground. Cuz J can't ever shut up and let others speak. Like when they were on the MTV thing, it was all J, Shaggy just stood there and didn't do anything...and one time Shaggy had to yell at J on a talk show cuz he wouldn't shut the ******** up and Shaggs wanted to say a few things. SO.... I think J has sold out....big time and it's been like this for a while now...

it's deffently J. since he started on the weed he's been a different dude.
did ya know he changes everything around?
gets pissy when things aint' to his liking.
examples
Look At Me On Esham's Repentance was spossed to be Esham and Madrox for verse 1, than Monoxide and Blaze for verse 2. but J didn't like that.
For Boom it was spossed to be Esham and ABK..but J didn't like it
Half of Hells pit was produced and lyrics written by Esham..but he won't get credit cuz J wont' allow it.
and AMB got screwed. plain and simple...
ABK was also getting screwed thus why he didn't sign the new contracts.
let's not forget the others J's gotton in the way of..
Myzery (who is still alive. it's a gimmik) Project Born Lavel Mike P Syn Zug Izland MC Breed Paris V-Sinizter Group Rehab(that one i am glad for cuz nobody wants K.K.K with the hatchet) tho she's my homie but i do feel bad for Tali Demon cuz u know she's gonna get screwed next..

agreed. as far as what that guy above me thinks about personal or financial issues within Psychopathic Records.....how do you know any of that? Have you talked to Esham or ABK about it, or did you hear that from a 2nd hand source? Have you read either of their contracts with the label? Honestly, I don't think you have any clue as to the specifics of why they left the label or anything regarding that. As far as ICP not caring about their fans "like they used to"........they make music, tour constantly, and host the GOTJ every summer. Theyre music artists, not your mother. Do you want Violent J to tuck you into bed at night? Seriously....I don't see what you're looking for as far as feeling appreciated as a fan, but honestly, who the f*ck cares? Enjoy the music, enjoy the show, or find something else to get involved with. evil

I pretty much agree with InnocentlyEvil. If ICP or even J alone was the same for all these years, that would actually be a bit more odd than if he didn't change. Some of the things that have changed...well...I don't think everyone is super thrilled about. As long as the fam doesn't change too drastically much, I can tolerate things.

I'm not talking just "Let's Go All The Way." I'm talkin'. Every two weeks they have a new music video out, on TRL. "ICP World Premier."

The contest was designed so that Psychopathic could profit off of a new act. Of course AMB got the sort end of the stick, but if they read it and knew what they were getting into, that was their choice.
They couldn't buy the exposure they got through Psychopathic anyway.
