Oh, don't worry, I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. The lich has long since moved away from this place. Er... I think. Well, either way, he left behind a lot of undead cronies, so that's why you guys are being sent in.
Your job is to make your way to the manor's library and retrieve a particular book, The Dead's Slumber to safeguard it against those who would seek to misuse its secrets. The base reward for this is 2,000 chips (divided among the party) if you manage to bring back the book. Plus, you also get to keep any useful things you manage to find left in the manor.
Okay you four, post here that you're joining. Include what items your character is bringing in to the dungeon, and a copy of your character's current stats WITH THE ITEM EFFECTS ALREADY ADDED (something you are not supposed to do when submitting your character).
What information you have about the manor suggests that the library may be hidden, so it may take some searching to find.
Okay, the leader is Gonzu the Immaculate, and the second in command is Ronin the Fighter. Don't forget about your party MP/AP pool, guys. The last party I ran a dungeon for never used it at all, even in what they knew was the final fight.

Well, after forming up, your party arrives at the manor. Looking in through the gate, you can see that even after the lich's departure, the place is still crawling with undead. Surveying the exterior, it looks like you could get in the front pretty easily through the door or a window, but there are five zombies shambling around the front that may have something to say about that.
You saw that there were some buildings in the back, but no easily visible entrances. On the other hand, the area seems to be clear back there.
What is your course of action?

Gonzu glances at the pus oozing zombies in the yard and then down at his pristine robes. "I say we go in the back, follow me." He heads towards the back of the house.

Around the back of the manor, you are able to get close enough to appreciate the building's very old architectural style. The newest building in this style any of you can think of is a bit over two-hundred years old.
Oddly enough, the manor has no rear entrance, and no windows in the rear either. Decorating the back of the property, however, is a very large pool, which has long since overgrown with algae. Overgrown hedges and bushes adorn a small garden, with a walkway paved in marble and two large statues decorating the center.
The statues are of a older man and a younger woman, both depicted in sorceror's cloaks in action poses with very serious expressions on their faces. Behind the statues, even further away from the house, is a very intricate map of the constellations worked into the stone. A quick examination reveals that of the six constellations highlighted in red by the stonework, five of them are important to the studies of the mystics, and the sixth is the constellation of the Watchtower.

Gonzu looks around the yard and then stares suspiciously at the pool. "See if you can break up that Algae, I want to check the constellations but I don't trust this pool." Who knows what might be living in it. Don't want to leave it at our backs.
He turns to Thorn, "If anything pops up out of that pool that looks even the slightest bit evil I want you to blast it." Gonzu readies a fireball spell just in case. A paranoid delusion a day keeps the Lake monster away.

Thorn nods to Gonzu, her face one of serious determination. "I'm ready," she says, before saluting and preparing her own spell.

(Guys, just because Ninja Lawyer is the leader doesn't mean you guys should just sit back and wait for combat.)
Well, if there's anything lurking in the pool, it's content to rest for now. Turning back to the constellations, Gonzu begins to analyze them and realizes that as his eyes trace the constellation of the Watchtower, a faint magical aura is left behind for a moment. After fully visually tracing it, the entire constellation chart pulses with the same aura, and a flash of magical energy flies up into the air then to the pool.
A magical walkway forms over the pool lengthwise, and at the end on the opposite side a magical door has opened in the ground, and you can see stairs leading down it.
(So, who's brave enough to go first, eh?)

Kitai rolls up the sleeves of her fur coat and waves to the others, "C'mon ye bloody cowards!! Let's get goin'!!" She struts out onto the walkway and towards the magical door.

((About time somone actually did something.))
Gonzu stammers at Kitai as she walks up the bridge, "I-I Really don't think that's safe!!" He waves vaguely at the pool, "We should really run more analysis..." He breaks off and watches Kitai on the bridge, "I am not a coward... Fine let's go!!" He sets off towards the bridge.

Thorn takes a look back and ponders the zombies they had witnessed before. "Aiii! Wait for me!" she shouts, running after the others and even past them.

Everyone makes it safely across the bridge and steps down the stairs into the magical doors. Once everyone is in, the door shuts behind the last person, leaving a stone ceiling where an opening to the garden once was.
The walkway, lit by magical balls of light every ten feet or so, seems to head towards the old manor at first, but just as you see a set of stairs at the end of the tunnel identical to the ones you came down on, you see that the tunnel also branches off to the left and the right.
It's a good bet that the tunnel leads to the manor, and most likely the library, but the side tunnels may prove to be interesting as well.
