 General use to spending her times in the forest near the mountains, or in the open clearing picking the wild flowers that grew there. Peony had become bored over the past week, she knew very little about the places that surrounded her normal hang outs. So she set forth one day, no picking flowers not even looking for flowers she wanted just to explore for once. Setting out at the break of dawn, the bright pink mare made her way throught the clearing towards the lake and the villages she would explore there first.
Humming softly as she wandered, the mare shook her mane out as she moved. Most of her movements were planned out, she watched ahead of herself avoiding little animals and rocks. Yet her nervousiness of exploring the unknown shone through each timr she shook her mane. That habit along with nibbling on others manes or tails were among the few things she did with out thinking. Coming to the edge of the clearing, the mare stopped shaking her mane out several times. Which direction to go? She would simply head foward and turn when the path lead her from going any further. That worked right?

Most of the time Lovey kept 'Naci far away from water and the likes because of her mane and tail and hooves. Of course, that didn't work all of the time and she usually only got to go into the water long enough to take a quick drink. Gah! Why did moms have to be so.. so.. NAGGY! Lovey fussed constantly about her mane and tail being hurt that she wondered if nobody would like her if she lost her looks.
Prolly, Lovey said her childhood had been filled with an obsession on being the prettiest. Dumb people. Didn't they know that running, learning, and playing were the basis of a good life. Sure, a home and food were good too but much more easily attained than the others. Shaking her mane, which didn't do much more than ruffle the blue flames, 'Naci gazed around and pondered sneaking off for a bit to have a spot of fun.

Trumping one foward, Peony watched every thing around her as she moved along. She would have to remember her way back, stupid path went around in eight different ways at the end of the clearing. Pausing for a moment, Peony's ears flickered back and forth she could hear water. Oh...water lilies and oh so many flowers would be growing by the river bed or what ever body of water she could hear.
Ears flickering back and forth, the mare moved towards the sound. She was going rathers slow. Always watching the things around her, to remember her way back and to watch what she stepped on. Being the flower freak she was, Peony constantly watched for any plant that could or might bloom and always avoided them if she could. Each flower har a right to bloom, and a flower herself the mare thought it was her duty to protect the flowers in any way she could.

So far everything around this place seemed to be really rather boring. She was typing and moving around into the nearby forest. A few things were intresting and one of them seemed to be coming her way. It was a mare that was headed towards her. The mane and tail of the mare reminded her of something, but from not overly close it was hard for her to figure out. Thinking over her carefully the idea came to her, "Oh my god the mare looks like a giant flower!"
Curiosity killed the cat and all that jazz, but she wasn't in the mood to run into a mean mare. Wiggling her ears back and forth she decided to hide behind a tree to see what she did. There was only one problem with that. The tips of her mane flew back and forth around like a wild... well, fire.

Glancing around, Peony stopped her eyes gazing along the line of trees. Well ok it was just a jew random trees here and there but she could have sworn, she had seen flames. Probably some absent minded two-leggers, but better safe then sorry. If theses trees, caught a blaze they could lead all the way back to the clearing.
Shaking her mane out once again, Peony slowly started towards the tree she thought the flames had been near.

'Naci's bright amber eyes were dancing along with her mane that whipped around with the wind. Whereas the mane only moved because of her mane, her eyes were dancing around because it was amusing for her to get to play a trick maybe. Gigggling as silently as possible, 'Naci tried to think fast on what would be the most painless and sweet trick to play on the flower mare.
Taking a breathe, she tried to deepend her voice to sound like an adult, "Halt! Who goes there?"

" One who can tell the voice of wee foal from that of another full grown " Peony stopped for a moment, her ears flickering. She could tell the other soquili wasn't fully grown, how big the other was she had no idea. Glancing the mare tossed her mane. How could she have let some one slip in close enough to talk to her but no be seen. And had they started the fire some how....What if it was a Kalona foal could it eat her?

'Naci wrinked up her little nose, the black lips that would eventually fade to white as she grew showed plainly that she disliked being caught as just a filly, "Ye canna say I'm a wee one, since ye canna know what I am!" That would probably stop the mare.. She might even think she was a strange familiar or a "kalona" like her kinda-sorta friend, Loveless.

" I might know your kind, but your age is clearer than the full moon on a cloudless night in the clearing." Pausing for a moment, Peony let her gaze sweep out over the surrounding area. The voice was near the flame, she had become sure of that. But how close was still a mystery, sidestepping the mare started foward again. She would circle widely around the trees and find out what this voice was before getting any closer.

Oh boy, she certainly wasn’t very good at having fun at other’s expense. Well, her mamma would probably call that a good trait to have, that is after she chewed her out for talking to a stranger. She had her hair to burn others if needbe. Once, on accident she had become frightened and nearly started a fire in her meadow. Ooops. “I’m nae what ‘er who ye think I be, so ye had better jest be nice ter me!” Riiiiight, that didn’t sound juvenile at all. Unfortunately for ‘Naci when she got a bit worried the fact that she was a foal stuck out like a soar thumb.. but what if the mare across the way was a mean one?

"So your not frightening is what your telling me?" Side stepping once again, Peony returned on her slow move foward. She would side stepp ever so often then contiune foward. She had to other wise if it really was something evil lurking even if small, it might not catch onto her circling plan. Wrinkling her nose slightly, Peony hufffed. She should have just stuck to picking flowers.

A disdainful wrinkled graced the little filly's face as she made a rather displeased expression for the tree she was hiding behind to see. Not frightening? She had been terrorizing other since she had been in her basket. Now that she'd hatched none found her overly threatening so much as "pretty." When the mare took a step, she took a step so that her vew of the flower mare didn't increase. If I can see her.. then she can see me.. So I have to be careful what exactly I do...

Peony glanced around, her ears flickered for a moment. She could hear something moving. Maybe the other was leaving? Shaking her mane out several times, the mare gave up. Closing her eyes for a moment, Peony charged foward. Better now, then never right? She had to stop the blaze.

Putting her head down, 'Naci snorted softly and began to run forward as fast as she could to meet the one running at her. Her mane of blue fire whipped and danced back behind her head and it took all of her effort not to back down... Boy did she dislike confrontation.

Skidding to a stop, Peony nearly tripped herself. She really hadn't expected a little one , well she had but not one so young. Righting herself, the mare snorted once before little her eyers widden... " Oh little one your on fire!"
