The Wonders of Peroxide
I'm absolutely positive that most of you, if not all, have a bottle of 3% peroxide layin' around in your house somewhere that you usually only use to clean out cuts or something. Let me tell you, you're missing out on alot of good things you could do with peroxide.
DO NOT SWALLOW THE HYDROGEN PEROXIDE. IT COULD KILL YOU.
a. Teeth Whitening. Incase you didn't know, those expensive whitening toothpastes you buy at the store actually eat away at the enamel on your teeth and eventually rots them. So don't buy it, for your own sake. D= If you take the small white cap the comes on the bottle, fill it to the top and hold it in your mouth for ten minutes. Then spit it out. It will prevent canker sores and make your teeth whiter than ever before. Do this daily.
b. Toothbrushes. Take a little cup of peroxide, and put the heads of your toothbrushes in it and let them soak. This removes all the germs, or atleast most of them, from your toothbrush, making it much cleaner.
c. Cleaning. If you have a tile counter top, even worse if you have a white one, you've probably already noticed that the grout between each tile gets dirty and off-color. Even the tile. You have two options. When you clean your counter, (this works for tables too) either spray some on your rag and then wipe it off good and thoroughly, or you can just spray it all over the counter and wipe it off good. This leaves a fresh scent, your counters clean and germ free.
d. Cuttingboards. If you cut chicken, meat, or anything for that matter, on your cuttingboard, you should take some peroxide and pour alittle all over it after you wipe it. This will kill Salmonella and other germs and bacteria that have settled on it.
e. Foot Fungus. Some people manage to get foot fungus and I guess it's quite bothersome. No, I've never had it but, you might. Or one of your relatives. To dilute out the peroxide, make a 50/50 mixture of peroxide and water. Spray it on your feet every night and let it dry. Works wonders.
f. Gangrene and Cuts. Soak cuts for 5-10 minutes several times a day to reduce the chance of infection, even rid yourself of one. Also, if someone has gangrene, you soak wherever it is in peroxide and it cures it.
g. Bathrooms and Septic Systems. If you didn't know this, bleach harms your septic system. Make a 50/50 mixture of peroxide and water in a spray bottle and set it somewhere in your bathroom. This disinfects sinks, toilets, and even bathtubs. Peroxide will NOT harm your septic system.
h. Colds. When you get a cold, you're all plugged up and cold and just not apt to doing anything. Again, make a 50/50 mixture of peroxide and water in a spray bottle. Tilt your head back and spray some up your nostrils and it will bubble, eat away at and kill the bacteria, and also unplug your sinuses! Hold it for afew minutes and then blow your nose. You might have to do this several times a day. Or when needed.
i. Cavities and Toothaches. If you have a cavity and it's painful as can be, or a toothache, take the little white capfull of peroxide and hold it in your mouth for ten minutes. Do this as many times as needed a day, especially if you're in alot of pain and your appointment is tomorrow or in a week or something.
j. Natural Hair. Make a 50/50 mixture of peroxide and water, and comb it through your wet hair after a shower. You won't have peroxide burnt blond hair like the hair dye packages. It will give you more natural looking highlights if your hair is faddish, dirty blond, or light brown. It also lightens gradually, so it's not a huge drastic change.
k. Boils and Skin Infections. Put half a bottle of peroxide in your bath every now and then, on occasion, to help rid yourself of boils (especially in the groin area), fungus, and other skin infections.
l. Blood on Clothing. If you somehow get blood on your clothing (works amazing on underwear), immediately pour alittle bit of peroxide on the spot and rub with your finger or an old toothbrush. Then rinse with cold water. It will take the stain out and not discolor your clothes.
m. Substitute for Bleach. Instead of bleach for your load of whites, put in a cup of peroxide to whiten them. It won't make those ugly yellow spots on your clothes like bleach.
n. Mirrors. If you use Windex or another of those window washing products to clean your mirrors, you can instead use some peroxide to clean your mirrors. This won't smear atall like Windex does.
o. Ear Wax Build-Ups. (Many thanks to Chibiskittles) Put a couple of drops in your ear, let it fizzle, then drain it out. This will eat away at the earwax.
p. Acne. (Many thanks to [.Exrael.]) Either take a dab of peroxide on your finger, or just a wee bit on a wash cloth, and put it on your acne. It'll clear it up in no time!
q. Genital Warts. Don't bother going to the hospital for genital warts and end up paying outrageous amounts to have your crotch burned. Take a Q-top, and dab just alittle bit on the wart. Do this until it gets hard. Then do it 2-3 times a day for two days. Once it forms a scab on the top, pick it just alittle so it'll bleed, then take a Q-tip and put some on it. Let is stay there for 4-5 minutes and wipe it off. It should go down A LOT. So, do this for 2 extra days, even if it's hardly visible, and it should be gone.
