 -Small paws padded against the dusty ground as the young cub moved through the dried grasses that so nicely matched his golden pelt. He was too young to wander to far away from his siblings. But already, even at such a young age he was beginning to notice the unpleasantness of his sisters.
And after one to many rough pushes, the cub had escaped just to be away for awhile. Maybe it was just how girls were? He didn't know much of the world yet except for his family, and the small bits that their mother had taught them so far. But as he slipped further and further through the grasses it seemed less and less important. And when finally he burst through the other side, into an area of wide green grass he grinned a little to himself. That was fun! Sliding through the grasses with them tickling at your sides!
He'd have to do it more often.-

Nix stretched, stretched her wings, her legs, and then flopped onto the grass grass again. She smiled, wriggled her back against the cool blades, and sighed, she was content, today she would relax. For the past few days she had been searching non stop for her sister, and to no avail. Today she would relax, regain her thoughts and composure, and just have a day off, so to speak, today would be a nice day to just watch the clouds pass over the great blue of the vast and open sky.
This place was a good place to rest it seemed, she had been able to come in bounds without an army of lions attacking her for intruding, so this was nice, very nice. And she smiled, she smiled and was happy to just relax, though she did wish something else more interesting would stumble to her, stumble her way so she could laugh and smile and have a good day.
The golden sun was high over her head and she blinked, blue eyes peering up, wings outstretched at her sides. She released her energy not long ago, so no sparks were flying from her paws or wings.
Yes, today seemed to be a good day.

-The soft sound of ruffling and rustling grass caught the attention of the cub, and curiousity pulled him forth. Perhaps someone else was enjoying in the same game as he had been? Maybe another little boy, and they could run through the grasses together?
Padding in the direction of the sound, he stalked through the grasses quietly as a cub could manage, pausing softly when colors that contrasted the grass came into view.
It was huge... and .. strange? It appeared to have extra appendages sticking out in weird angles.. Silent in confusion and uncertainty he watched for a long moment, before the tall grasses betrayed him, swaying close enough to his snout that his tiny body quivered with a loud sneeze. Eyes tightening, he braced himself for impact, should 'it' pounce, as his sisters often did.-

Nix's ears flicked as she heard a tiny...sneeze was it? She smiled, whatever the sound was, it was adorable. Rolling over and pulling her feathered wings to her back Nix peered around with blue hues, trying to see what could be around, or who. These lands were full of those that were kind, she had met a few here already, thats why she stopped her to rest some days such as this.
Eyes searched the grasses, and she tilted her head in one area where it seemed to part and somehting rather...golden, was mixed amongst the green. Whoever it was, it wasn't Ushu, she knew that, this other was very small compared to him.
Hmmm.
"It's alright, don't be afraid..." perhaps she should've made an illusion over herself or somehting.

rofl *pats his tiny little head*))
-He could hear it getting up, and subconciously he tensed, but his muscles loosened softly as the words lifted, both the tone and meaning behind them openning his eyes. Skeptic for a moment, but more curious at the strangeness before him.
Small creme dipped paws carried him out of the grass, nearer to the large thing, before finally he stated less then convincingly.- "I'm not afraid." -Eyes following the sweep of the wings, he wondered curiously about those extra apendages.-

Nix gave him a sincere smile and lowered herself to the ground to try and be closer to him, but in a less intimidating way, she still had a feeing that he might not warm right up to her right from the start...he was such cute little devil no wasn't he? "You sure? Its okay to feel uneasy, but there's no need to be afraid of me I assure you," she said with a nod, a flick of her tail as she pulled her wings tighter against her back.
She didn't want him afraid of her.
"I'm Nix, who're you hmm?" she asked softly, tilting her head slightly.

-Her words were kind, and he almost confided his momentary fear in her, but decided against it. He was supposed to be big and strong, and not that there seemed no reason to worry, it seemed silly to admit that he had worried before.
He tried to stay polite, he really did, trying to keep from staring at her strange bits, offering a reply to the question.- "I'm Haiba."
-But before he could stop it, it slipped out, a soft frown touched him as soon as the outburst sounded. It was curiousity, not insult, but it couldn't help but sound a tad rude. Ecspecially to one who had seemed to go out of her way to be nice, despite the fact that most adults wanted nothing to do with the young.- "What happened to you Nix?"

"Haiba, a strong name for a strong fella like you," she said with a nod, watching him in his curiosity. His eyes were so brightly red, and his pelt so golden, so cute, he'd be a looker one day, that she knew, and when the time came, she wouldn't be able to resist looking as well.
"Happened?" she asked, tilting her head some, flicking her tail, did he not know what gods and goddesses were? "Life I suppose, I was born with these wings, adorned with these horns since birth, godesses sometimes look strange I suppose."

"Wings? Like a bird?" -His curiousity outweighed any feelings of foolishness he might have had, and he drew forward a few steps looking more carefully at what he had mistaken before for extra legs.
How did a lion get wings!! You couldn't have babies with birds could you? No no.. certainly not. Looks of confusion, disgust, and awe flashed over his face in an almost comical fashion, before finally the word registered in his mind.- "Goddess?"
-It was a foriegn word yes.. but despite that it still rang with the aire of importance, and dutifully he sat down before her, little tail flicking back and forth.- "Why do they sometimes look strange?"

Nix giggled as she watched the little golden cub try to make sense of things, perhaps his parents never told him about immortals and gods and goddesses of the earth, well, seemed that little Haiba found out on his own. What a feet to have done on his own indeed. Flicking her tail and letting her wings fall a bit more she yawned slightly, she was getting tired, the sun had that affect on her for some reason, perhaps she should move on soon enough, but not before answering Haiba's question.
"Yes, Goddesses, and Gods, look strange sometimes depending on what they are elate to. You see Haiba, each god and goddess has a 'realm' in which they are related and connected to, sometimes their appearance links with that realm. Mine is lightning, my stripes become brighter when I store power, my horns regulate the flow of it, it really depends on the god or goddess themself."
Sometimes they didn't even look very similar, but that was alright.
Raising a paw Nix ruffled the fur atop Haiba's head in an almost motherly fashion, how cute cubs were on their own, why hadn't she had any yet anyway?
"Is there anything else you want to know Haiba? I have to head on my way soon, I hope you understand," she didn't want him mad at her.

-He listened intently, ears perched forward as the slew of foreign knowledge was laid before him. And he took it in the best he could, glancing to her stripes and horns as they were mentioned in turn, a small and silent 'wow' forming on his maw as she reached the end of her mini-lesson.
Scrunching his nose, and huffing in mild male irritation at having his fair ruff, he smiled nonetheless nodding after her.- "No it's okay. I understand." -Adults were always headed about. To hunt, to find siblings, to chatter and talk on with other mothers and whatnot. It was a fact of life. For now he was happy divulging in this simple little pleasure and new knowledge. Wait until he told his brothers and sisters about this!-

Nix'Annada smiled at the golden cub before her eyes, so young and yet he knew and understood things that others would whine of, so mature he seemed, but so young and tender all the while. "I'll be back someday, you'll see little one," she said with a smile, purring softly nad rubbing her head atop his own gently, adn then she took a step back, remembered this place, this child, and smiled to herself. One day she'd see the fine golden lion he'd grow into, and she mentally wriggled i anticipation of that day.
He'd be a wonderful male, wonderful.
She trotted off then, a smiled on her maw, stopping to wave before starting again. She'd remember his anme, this place, those eyes.
She'd be back for sure.
