Oberon sniffed the scents in the air, trying to see if he could smell prey about. He'd hoped he'd find something as good as a rat or a bird to catch within the bamboo thickets, but it seemed that he'd hoped wrong. 'Maybe it's just too early..' He thought in his head. A bit tired, having to have gotten up early for a good breakfeast, which apparently he wouldn't be getting this early, he looked past through the thicket, and saw a miniature lake, its waters rippling once in a while as a stray leaf that blew in would land and drift about on it. 'Mmm, I guess it wouldn't hurt to get a little drink.' He reassured himself, and slipped away from the thicket, and took a few laps of the water, which gave him a feeling of coolness in his mouth. "Ahh, much better" He said aloud with a sigh, and then perked up his ears, could have sworn he heard some rustling. "Mm?"

 Kirei-Chi had finally spotted something moving in the bamboo thicket. Hunting for food generally wasn't her thing, but she couldn't survive on roots and berries alone. She crept up upon it silently... what was it? Her keen senses told her it was a rabbit. Getting into position to pounce, she lowered her front end, and her hind was slightly shaking as she readied herself. Then she sprung forward, deftly catching the small rabbit in her mouth. It was a good clean catch... she hated killing the creature, but it had to be done.
She looked around, rabbit still in her maw, for a place to eat it. She spotted a small lake not far off, and marked it as the perfect place for her to eat and then wash up. She moved quickly towards the water.

'Someone's coming!'
Oberon stood still for a few seconds before silently creeping back into the bamboo thicket, preparing himself by crouching over, in case if it was prey, or some unfriendly wanderer. He carefully sniffed the air; 'Mmm, rabbit..' He sniffed the air further, '..And.. something else? I can't quite make it out..' He crouched down lower, waiting to find out who it was.

Reaching a cozy little grassy patch close to the water, Ki-chi started to eat her lunch. It was rather large for a rabbit, and she thought if she got lucky she might have some left for supper.
Half the rabbit gone, Ki-chi decided she had had enough. She got up and stretched out her body, feeling a bit lazy after such a nice meal. Breathing in deeply, she noticed that there was a new smell in the air. What was it? seh held her head up a bit higher, and inhaled deeply again. It smelled like... another Ulaya?
She looked around for the source of the smell, but saw nothing. Thinking it may have just been a passer-by, she strode up to the waters edge to lap up some water and clean her muzzle.

Oberon closed his eyes and tried to analyze the scent. The scent was so strong and filled him with curiosity that he started moving closer to the source of the scent, almost having his hiding spot revealed. He then opened his eyes and peeping his head out for a minute decided to try to see what it was that had entered. He blinked in shocked awe.
Taking a drink from the water was another Ulaya, only seemingly different.
He recalled seeing other female Ulaya before in his travels, but this one was indeed unique. He stared curiously at her long hair and the strange piece of jewelry that seemed to be attached to her ear.
'Indeed a beautiful Ulaya, I'll admit..' He thought to himself, looking onward for a few seconds more before hiding back into the bamboo. He suddenly had the curiosity of wanting to talk to her, but he was sorta hesitant on it. 'Is she one to be trusted?' He thought, suddenly having suspicion creep into his mind. He stared at her silently between the bamboo, contemplating whether to find out or not.

Kirei-Chi looked up from the water, muscles tensed. Did I just hear something? she asked herself. She stayed absolutely still for another moment, and deciding it was nothing, continued lapping up the cool water.
The liquid felt so nice sliding down her throat that she decided it would feel nice all over her body. Lifting her head from the lake, she backed up a few steps and then raced forward, jumping at the edge of the water and landed with a splash.

'Huh? She jumped into the water. Why...?'
He blinked in puzzlement seeing the young Ulaya's sudden move. He then thought of it as a bad time to question on what she was doing around here.
'mm, I'll wait a few moment longer..' He thought to himself, deciding to wait longer before he thought of it the time to have her take notice of him.
He wasn't aware though that due to his intense curiosity of her jumping into the water he moved a few steps closer, making his face sort of visible out of the bamboo.

Kirei-Chi swam around for a few moments, until her body was a bit cooler. She stepped out of the water, and shook herself off. Trying to decide what to do next, she looked around her. Is that something in the bamboo? She thought, peering more closely at it.
She lifted her head and inhaled deeply, trying to catch a scent.

He cocked his head to one side and slowly blinked. 'What is she looking this way for..' His eyes shifted from left to right, up and down and noticed he was closer to being out in the open and almost capable of being fully seen if he took a few steps closer. "Shoot!" He cursed in an unexpected whisper, and then jolted slightly back and hoped he didn't make a total rucus. He then observed, seeing her breathing in deeply. 'Darn. She's probably trying to catch my scent.' He shifted from paw to paw uncomfortably, now wondering if he'd been noticed for sure, and was wondering if now would be the best time to try and make an introduction to himself. Or if depending to her replied actions if he should try to attack or run.

She was surprised when she finally cought a scent and figured out what it was. Another Ulaya... and judging from the slight movement she saw out of the corner of her eye, they were in the bamboo thicket. I wonder what they're doing in there? She thought, trying to catch a glimpse of the mysterious stranger.

'Shoot, must have known I'm here by now. Well, I suppose there's no need to hide now..' He thought to himself. But we wasn't sure if he should just start by coming out of the thicket then and there. In silent thoughts he in the meantime took a small chunk of bamboo and with the movements of his head chucked it out of the thicket, landing only some feet away from where he stood. He wondered if he could try to catch her attention here abit closer before revealing himself. It would feel wierd to him introducing himself at a distance.

Kirei's ears went back as she saw some sort of stick fly out of the thicket. What was THAT she thought. This called for some investigation. She started walking towards the thicket. I wonder why this Ulaya won't come out? She said to herself. Maybe they're shy?
She reached the spot where the stick landed and stopped. She peered closely through the bamboo, but the Ulaya seemed to be well hidden. Rather than actually entering the thicket, she sat down and swatted the stick back.

He blinked when he heard the stick being swatted, and looked down as he saw the stick right in front of his feet. He thought of it as a signal, and looked back onward, seeing her up close past the Bamboo. He wondered if he could be seen past it, unless his dull green pelt was proving useful against the bamboo.
He didn't feel quite ready to show his face.
"Have you been here very often? I've been here for some while now, and I've never seen many Ulaya around here, or at least any ulaya that look the way you do.."
He felt his cheeks turn slight pink. He was hoping the comment didn't sound too bold. He moved closer to the edge of bamboo, possibly only having his blue eyes shown past the bamboo.

Ah ha! She thought, I have you now! She spotted some movement as she heard the stranger speaking, and managed to get a glimpse. Was that a flash of blue? But it was gone before she could discern their exact position.
"This is actually my first time here. I decided to just go where my feet led me today." Strange, it seemed like almost every Ulaya she met pointed out that she was different. While her hair was indeed longer than anyone else she had met, she still felt like a normal Ulaya on the inside.

"Ah, I see.." He said with utter interest. An interesting Ulaya indeed. He sat down, wondering when it would be time to show himself. For now though he thought it would be okay to at least make a conversation with her, "Well, does the place seem nice to you?" He asked. In his opinion, it seemed really nice, and the bamboo helped him blend in his surroundings. Although despite that, he wouldn't stay around for long. He was more of a traveler, seeing around the place; Possibly to try and find the right home? He wasn't sure of that himself
