06/03/2007 - Devon finds that his cabbage has been replaced... With a small child.

Favorite Food: Red beans and rice (Mmm, simple) - it also happens that this is one of the few things he's really good at cooking.
Likes: body art of all types, color, leather and denim, strong black coffee, mechanical pencils, garage-band rock, really stupid jokes (we're talking idiotic knock-knocks here, people), Animal Planet (a lot of people want animal tats and it makes for good reference), old pin-up art, the business section of the newspaper
Dislikes: deadlines, bills, people who judge on appearance, ties, sandals, vegetables that are orange, gummi candies, abstract art
Hobbies: sketching on everything, listening to music, taking long walks, avoiding concepts like 401K and Life Insurance Policy
Weaknesses: far too willing to stay a Big Kid, panics at too much responsibility, gets morose when denied creative outlets... And you can own his soul for a blueberry Blow-Pop

Personality: Coming across as a bit of a lay-about and a creative bum, Devon is actually more intelligent than you would think. He holds an associate's degree in business, after all, and got it with the second highest marks in his graduating class. Unfortunately, all of his logical brilliance is at war with his inherent need to create and his desire for low-stress. Pretty much, it's a right brain-left brain civil war in the guy and, at the moment, it's the creativity that is winning. He has yet to reach the maturity level where it occurs to him that he can do both at the same time.

Quiet and introverted, Devon usually seems to be operating on the setting of Vague. He'll talk to you if you talk to him but he rarely makes the first move in conversation. Yes, he is shy but it's also that he just doesn't think he has much to say that's interesting. His self-esteem isn't terribly low, though. It's simply a matter of him being convinced that he's a bit "weird". He has no temper to speak of aside from an underlying sullen streak that is more a shadow and a state than something he inflicts on others.

All in all, he's a good kid who really needs to grow up some day.

Appearance: With a heritage like his (half Irish, half Puerto Rican), Devon was doomed to some slight visual oddities. He stands about 5'10", lean and slightly gawky with big sensitive hands and a constant slouching curve to his posture. His hair is dark but has a red sheen to it that is completely natural; he wears it short at the sides and back with some vague spikes up top and half-assed sideburns. He adds a little scruffy goatee to the image. His eyes are dark green with flecks of amber and are perpetually hooded. His complexion falls somewhere in between cherrywood and oak, warm and tanned. He has covered various bits of it in ink, put a couple holes in his ears, and slouches around in baggy jeans and t-shirts and sneakers.
