Rather than any great desire for political correctness, however, I feel this was more an attempt to justfy Martha's removal as 'token coloured presence' <.< Oh yes, and the ninth doctor's sonic screwdriver troubles in 'The Empty Child' was plenty akward. Hilarious, mind.

Hilarious, mind. I think women regenerate as women (as demonstrated by Romana) and men and women regenerate into the same ethnicity as they appeared to belong to before. The Doctor, who began as "Caucasian" keeps regenerating that way. The only other Time Lord (as far as I remember) that regenerated in the course of the series is K'anpo, who looked Tibetan both times. Again... there's that element of consistancy. Oh, the Master appeared in different bodies, but not exactly through "regeneration."

The Doctor becoming a drag queen and THEN all the assistants show up.
Either that or there was another time lord, and it happened to be his mom.

What you mean like all the assitants crowed into the TARDIs to see the doctor dressed up as a woman and then back out of the TARDIS slowly...freightened sweatdrop

The Doctor regenerates with highlight blue hair.
.... oh I think the chameleon circut could do worse than a porta potty... What if it materialised in a hospital and it turned into a lung or something?
Hey, with the chameleon circut, the object it turns in to... does it have to be around the same size? I mean... otherwise it might be too small to get back in to, but there is no reason really why it can't, unless it's built not to. I'm not sure, only time I've seen it working is in that 6th Doctor episode with the cybermen and it turned into a piano organ...
