Right, so we all hate txt tlk. In my personal opinion, the only thing worse than text talk is when people use it in real life. When people say ‘lol’, I want to bite their heads off and scream "I can hear you, idiot!". There are I things I can understand, American Online Instant Massager is really long, saying 'aim' is way easier. However, most things are just annoying.

That bothers me, but especially saying "lawl" out loud. I (sarcastically, no worries) say "oh em gee" or "oh em eff gee" sometimes, but that's different because it's TOTALLY MAKING FUN OF CHATSPEAK.

Shockingly, I was once into the trend of saying those common text-talk expressions, more commonly "Oh Em Eff Gee."
Before you throw me into quarantine, I have never uttered one of these horrid words in the hallowed halls of the Grammar Guild, nor anywhere else in Gaia, for the matter.
Besides, it's all dying off as is. At least around my area. confused But here, it's alive and well...but not for much longer.

However, most things are just annoying. You would benefit from actually having decent grammar yourself. What I hate more than bad grammar is mediocre grammar in a guild made for users with good grammar.

My typing and thinking abilities are good, most of the time. When I get sick my brain doesn't work right.

When I saw this thread I automatically thought about that Cingular comercial. I happen to love it even though it uses a lot of text talk.
