 Adanna was the sort who raced through her day without stopping to breath and then crashed right at the end. So although it seemed as if she never ran out of energy and she never wanted to sleep, once she was out she was out. And boy was she hard to wake up. Presently she lay on her back, mouth open slightly to breath in the morning air.
She had slept so much better lately then she ever had in the pridelands. Perhaps it was just the fact that they were traveling again, which was exactly what she had wanted for so long. But they had stayed in the pridelands for the sake of Jini and Mosi. It almost seemed a funny reason, for now she and Nukta were no longer on their own again. They had two new little squirts to look after. And the thought of returning to stay in the pridelands for good never crossed her mind.

 "Mom." Ilori said, peering over his mother's shoulder while she slept, then he whispered in her ear softly, so that he might not wake her up, but might influence her dreams, "You are standing on the edge of a cliff, a warm breeze strikes you, and what's that it brings with it? The scent of a hare?" He did that sort of thing sometimes, just because of the different reactions he might get when the lion he teased woke up.
"There, in the brush, not far from you... can you smell it?" He almost laughed, but he kept it held in so that he wouldn't wake his mother.

"Hnnnn.... I can... m'smell it..."
Well, the voice didn't belong to Adanna, but the other towering figure lying next to her, this one on his stomach with his forepaws stretched out and curled before him and under his chin. They flexed a bit, almost as if to paw at the non-existant prey.
Their father wasn't such a heavy sleeper, however, so the game wasn't likely to last as long with the dark male.
If you would've asked Nukta he would have admitted to worrying about their oldest, but also confessed he wouldn't trade their lifestyle now for anything. Mosi was there to look out for Jini, and Jini was there to look out for Mosi, and the last he'd seen his two their only daughter also had a very capable mate with her. Still, the thought of bringing the boys to visit their older sister and brother was an amusing one. What on Earth would Mosi's reaction be, finding out she had two more siblings? Being such a tomboy she'd probably be thrilled to have more brothers, where Jini would probably come off as very timid.
Well, in any case. With experience under their belt now their second litter seemed to be at much less risk. That once little family of theirs was rapidly expanding now, to all parts of the Savannahs and jungles. How much longer until their parents bloodlines took new root elsewhere?

Ilori couldn't help but let out a very small laugh when he heard his father. He moved his nose so that he spoke into both of his parents' ears at the same time, "The rabbit is running, running, running," he continued to whisper, smiling.
He loved traveling with his parents and his brother. Sometimes he even forgot that he had older siblings, an older brother and sister that he had never met. He was more or less focused only on his brother, his mother and father and having fun with them. Pranks were not his usual forte, but sometimes he liked whispering into their ears to change their dreams. A cub needed to be at least a little playful!
