story:
The year is 1937. The United States has shattered under the combined weight of the Great Depression, regional Prohibition and mounting isolationism. The transcontinental railroad and the budding highway system have become useless as they now cross hostile borders. Commerce and trade leave the ground as air travel now becomes a vital lifeline connecting allied countries -- and a national obsession -- while daring air pirates and valiant air militias battle for control of the skies. Giant zeppelins crisscross the skies, carrying both passengers and cargo. It is a time of gunship diplomacy and airship piracy. It is the age of the fighter pilot and a time of daredevil adventure and sinister intrigue. It is the world of Crimson Skies…

what a beautiful day for fixing a plane and what has to be done first is the engine, armour, armament full day's work Zachary thought. as he walked to his plane the Lighting Strike. He had suspended the plane on jacks so he could work on the engine. He was out on a raid and his engine was shot up. So he went and bought a brand new Tornado G600 nitro boosted and had it shipped in. Then he began taking the old engine out and setting it aside, then the new engine was lifted up and bolted into place. After that was done he moved on to the armour he added armour where it was needed the most around the cockpit, engine and wings. Now was the fun part the armament consisted of 4 United Munitions .40-caliber machine guns and features eight external ordnance points for rockets, bombs or external fuel tanks. These were the weapons that his father used till he was severely injured on a raid he managed to make the Pandora and told Zachary to use her against his enemies then he died. The armament was now in his clutches he immediately removed the .40 cal UM machine guns and put in there place was 2 .50 cal and 4 .70 cannons he then modified the hardpoints and added a extra one on each side giving ten hardpoints for rockets, bombs or external fuel tanks.

Marie walked into the hanger carrying her bag over her shoulder as she looks around. She looks at all the planes set up to be worked on. She smiles in satisfaction seeing the wide variety. This should be fun to work in... she thought. Looking around she noticed all the other mechanics and wondered how quiet or loud it would be working here. She sighes and walks through the hanger looking for the bunks.

After a relaxing rest Zachary woke up and went to the repair shop to get some paint for the Lighting Strike as Blood red attracted too much attention so he got a mix of gold and black. As he was walking out with the paint he noticed a beautiful girl walking into the shop looking for her bunk. He lays the paint down near the door and runs to meet her excuse me miss "My name Nathan Zachary and I see your a little lost may I show your around" he said.

She looks up as a man comes up to her. She gives him a friendly smile as she nods. "I'd really appreciate it..." she says as she looks at him taking in his appearence. "What do you do here at the base?" she asks curiously as she walks with him.

"I'm a fighter pilot" said Zachary as he admired her "what is your name" he asked. I been a pilot since the great war and the breakup of the US, and also a pirate or privateer called what u wished it's what gives me many funds to keep my Pandora and Lighting Strike is Mint condition.

"wow thats cool. My names Marie." she says smiling admiring him more knowing he was a fighter pilot. "I'm the new mechanic. It's what I've been doing since highschool"

"nice to meet you Marie I have a question for you How would u like to become my personal mechanic that way we can get to know each other better in the fields instead of this noisy repair shop" I wonder will she help me paint my plane or refuse me he thought

"with pleasure sounds like an awesome way to spend an afternoon. I have my tools in my bag" she says as they keep walking. She's trying not to stare as she thinks the same thing

They come to a big aircraft with the engine in back and everything was shining as most of it was brand new. "Marie this is my girl Lighting Strike during battle she was badly shot up in my last raid and I fixed her engine, armour and armament so now she is extremely deadly" he said.

She looks at the plane walking around it in a circle examining it. "2 .50 and 4 .70 cal? what happened to the .40 cal that's normally in here?" she asks curiously as she finishes walking around returning to his side. "and nice choice of engine." she says as she looks at the plane still standing next to him.

"The old .40 cals were lacking in range and power so I took them out and replaced them with what u see. The engine I had replaced because it was old and shot up and this new one was to gain more speed with the added feature of nitro -boost anytime I need it" he said. I wonder what she thinks

She tilts her head slightly as she examines the plane then smiles. "very nice. you don't know how many fighter pilots I've met that can't take care of their own planes. I'm impressed" wow he's amazing...
