I've only been in guard for about 3 weeks, and I've hit myself in the head way too many times to count, lol

lol, as long as i'm not alone XD hurts like a b***h. who knew a flag could hurt so bad? ^.^ i want the old color guard shirt at my school it says 'angry girls with flags'. i'm sure that would spark some fear into ppl after they've been hit with one =)

i hit some1 else in the head at our concert because he wouldn't stop playing when he was suppose to

I knocked out a sax player because he was in the wrong drill... MINE. Our coaches told us to do that if they were in our way since we would knock out judges. It was fun practice. My first year of guard I hit myself alot. I couldn't tell how far the flag was (I'm legally blind). Good times.

I haven't hit myself yet... MUCH. Only once.
I'm legally blind too, and I've hit 5 other people because I have no periphial vision (I think I should get contacts...).

Yes, but with vibraphone mallets.
And Sean decided to test how hard the mallets were during pit practise..
Lucky him he wasn't playing chimes, or he might have knocked himself out.

Today I hit him with a cowbell when he was being annoying. (it was his shoulder, a hit from a cowbell on the head probably would have K.O.ed him.)

My first guard nickname was Goose because of the amount of goose-eggs i got from hitting myself in the head with various tosses and once just by twirling the darn flag.

you'll like this! we were doing a chime choir for church.. and i was low C... the rubber ball flew off the chime bounced on the floor off the piano... and hit me right in the eye!
yeah... i've hit myself in the head.
