that had been following him the entire time.[Er.. yeah that song just suddenly popped into my head and won't go away when I was thinking of a topic name so... ^^;;;]
After a steady week of travel, and a mere average of nine hours for sleep, it was probably a good idea to set up camp. Tying a little strip of cloth in his bleached, a teen takes a quick break from fussing with his tent. It was just a little ways off of a worn dirt road. "There's probably a town or villiage somewhere in this area. I can stock up on more supplies for us there, and maybe a cheap room for the night. That sound alright with you Meji?" He spares a glance at the large gryphon brute that had been with him from the start of his little excursion away from home.
"Or, you could turn back and go home to Sin you know.. you're his gryphon, not mine." Of course when he only gets a stern look from the creature he drops the argument.. again, and goes back to pitching his tent. he never won against that gryphon. Ever.
Little human thinks he knows everything. That's my job to decide. With a ruffle of his feathers, Meji turns his attention to preening to get out annoying twigs stuck in his flight feathers. They'd been forced to walk in such unsuitable terrain when all he wanted to do was get out of the confines of trees and get back into the open sky again. Ground walking was no place for a gryphon of his status, in his own perspective.

Gwaednerth looked back at his human who was traveling with him and a female gryph. He had found out quickly that the human had wanted to breed him to the femme, yet he was interested in the tawny femme. He didn't know who he was interested in. Sighing, he folded his wings against his body, the area they were wandering in not suitable for flying...at least not for him. He could see a forest nearby and he suddenly felt nervous to fly around it.
Hearing another human, he turned his gaze towards the edge of the forest to see a human male and his gryph. A little curious of the other gryph, and wanting to stir up some trouble, he wandered over to the gryph, his wings stretching out slightly.

The human doesn't seem to notice, too engrossed with forcing the tent's main support stake to stand straight up, without falling backwards onto his head for the third time.
Meji noticed the other gryph immediately, turning away from his human charge to face the male head on. He clicks his beak in a slight warning not to do anything, beating his own oddly hued green wings once back at the other.

Gwaednerth clicked his beak, too, his eyes narrowing slightly. So, maybe he wasn't able to start any mischief while the male was keeping a close eye on him. He wasn't interested in the human male, so he didn't bother making a ruckus with that human. He flicked his tail back and forth, observing the other male's green-hued feathers.
"Interesting," he finally managed to say, not really that interested in the hue of the other's feathers. "How do you manage to stay with your human for long?" He was curious as to why the gryph hadn't escaped the human yet. The only reason why he hadn't escaped his human was her ability to use magic, something he wasn't used to yet.

Meji looks at the red male incredilously, clicking his beak again. "Stay with my human? This one isn't mine. My human follows us by three days time." He drops it there, not really wanting to go into details even he didn't quite understand. "Why ask such a question."
"Meji, could you help.. I can't get this thing to stay.. oh." The teen finally turns to look at the gryphon only to see him eye to eye with another good sized male. "Um.."

Gwaednerth gazed at the human for a few seconds before turning it back to the other gryph. "Rather odd for one of our kin to be traveling with any human. Then again, the only reason why I stay with mine is due to her little temper issues." He fluttered his wings slightly as he noticed that the human finally saw him.
He took a step away from Meji, finally learning of the other gryph's name. "Meji, huh? Interesting name." He sat down on his haunches, allowing his tail to curl around them gracefully. "Gwaednerth," he said, giving the other male his own name.

Meji fold shis wings back neatly, barely sparing the human a glance of his own. "Interesting name yourself. And there is nothing wrong with accompanying a human." He turns to give the teen a little help with the tent as requested, while the human keeps a faintly wary eye on the red gryphon.

Gwaednerth merely nodded his head as he watched Meji help the human help set up the tent, his eyes gazing at the object curiously. He hadn't seen a tent before since his own human liked to sleep in only a sleeping bag out in the open. She trusted both him and the femme gryph to keep her safe. Maybe it wasn't a bad thing to have a human around.

Once the tent was set up to the point where it wouldn't just fall apart again from a rogue gust of wind, Meji turns his attention back to Gwaednerth. "You said that you are with a human. Why are you not with them right now." It wasn't so much a question as it was as plite a demand for an answer as the gryph could make himself give.
The human watches them converse from what he deemed a safe distance, making sure the contents of his pack were still all there.

"She's too slow. Both her and the little femme that travels with her. They don't get that it is a little dangerous to be traveling after dark, but my human just doesn't get it. I've tried everything I could to warn her, yet." He frowned slightly, gazing at Meji's human. "Yet humans can be stubborn. Too stubborn if you ask me," he said, a hint of his own stubborn nature coming out.

Meji gives a light scoff at that, fluffing the feathers at his nape lightly. "Is it humans that are stubborn or the male that says they are?" His eyes shine with a bit of mirth at Gwaenerth for a moment. "Thjis human isn't stubborn, and I'd quite prefer it if he were. Gives up too easily with just the right look. My human on the other hand.." He stops talking, getting thrown off track when the teen walks over to the gryphons to offer up some dried meat.
"We'll need to get some more in the next town. But you don't mind sharing a little with your new friend, do you Meji?" He doesn't seem to notice the incredilous look he is given for calling the two males friends.

Gwaednerth fluffed his feathers slightly to make him look bigger. He didn't like to be called stubborn, despite him being that way in the first place. His red eyes flashed slightly, wondering why the human Meji was traveling with wasn't stubborn. He had thought that all humans were stubborn, lazy asses.
Hearing the human's comment, he clicked his beak at him. Friends? Him? "ungrateful little piece of maggot," he muttered under his breath, refusing to accept the dried meat. He turned his head away as he thumped his tail on the ground, his hot-head getting in the way of his judgement.

Meji narrows his eyes at Gwaednerth, clicking his beak in quick warning. "If you're going to be rude to the human then you can simply leave. And I'll take that meat he offered you since you're so unwilling for a free meal."
Kita keeps his distance, not being one to bother a gryphon with his food. The red one made him a bit nervous though, acting aggressively in his opinion.

Gwaednerth ignored the green male's comments, his back turning towards the male human and gryph. He didn't like being offered food he didn't know how it was prepared or how long ago it was prepared. he didn't even take Arisella's food when she offered it to him. That was how he was.
He noticed that Arisella had spotted him and she shuffled over to him, leaving the tawny femme behind. "sorry about Gwaed's rudeness," she said to Kita, bowing down slightly to the teenage boy. "He can sometimes be such a hot-head." She stood next to the large male gryph, her hands folded together behind her back.

Kita looks up at the.. would it be rude to call her a woman? The last time he called someone 'ma'am' he was scolded like a child. "Oh, no it's alright.. he wasn't causing any trouble."
Meji cocks his head to the side to study the human female curiously, a small strip of the dried meat still hanging from his beak as he had paused while eating it when the human walked over.
