OMG!!! i think this is my fave mangka ever!! i love her every since and her mangas are probably the firsts i have read. they are sooo good! blaugh heart who also like her works?
some are:
alice 19th
fushigi yuugi: the mysterious play
fushigi yuugi: genbu kaiden
imodoki
absolute boyfriend (yes its from her)
ayashi no ceres (or ceres: the celestial legend)

Some of Yuu Watase books annoy me slightly mainly due to the lead female character. She's normally always a ditz of sorts w/ multiple men fawning all over her...>_>
Though I will admit that she has very elaborate plots that are worth the read...which makes it difficult to choose a favorite one, though I've read just about all the ones on your list. I think though I kinda like Imadoki most....

Kuroi-sama Some of Yuu Watase books annoy me slightly mainly due to the lead female character. i like all of the ones you listed... but... the author uses the same exact people for every series so you almost always know who the main char. will end up with but i heard somewhere that in absolute boyfriend she'll end up with the ther guy... i forget his name... she won't end up with night... crying that is... if my information is reliable... sweatdrop

Yah...Yuu Watase uses the same character types and in most cases I end up liking the guy who the main female doesn't get with more because I feel so sorry for him...plus he's cute. I don't know...
Absolute Boyfriend had an interesting ending though... ::in the fact that the main character doesn't end up with either guy...sorta...::

I like stories by Yuu Watase, but her earlier heroines really, really bothered me...especially Miaka. Miaka seems so much worse when you compare her to the priestess of Genbu, Takiko too. FY Spoiler: (It seems completely impossible to me now that Miaka somehow survives Suzaku...being as weak as she is, but Takiko is the only priestess who is sacrificed completely...or killed because of her father...whatever. It just seems unlikely to me that Miaka would be able to survive when Takiko probably won't.)
I like Yuu Watase's stuff after Fushigi Yuugi (Except Ceres, I tried reading it a few times and I never got into it). I've heard a lot of people complain about Alice from Alice 19th...but I think they were overreacting. Alice 19th is kind of corny, but Alice is a pretty good character.
But a lot of her characters are similar...or, I guess their personalities are different, just their experiences (especially romantic experiences) are similar and they usually all end up doing the same sorts of things.
Anyways my favorite is Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden. It's got all the stuff from Fushigi Yuugi that I liked, and tossed the stuff I hated (Miaka's personality, how quickly the main couple got together, how much time the main couple spends together being mushy while they have an important job to be doing). Yeah, I like the couple in Genbu Kaiden, and Takiko is a heroine I really like. The first time I read Genbu Kaiden I was certain that Satsuki Yukino should voice her (just because, it fit for me), and I was right! I nearly had a heart attack when I read that Satsuki Yukino was Takiko's voice actress for the Drama CDs. I hope she'd be Takiko in an anime if there ever is one.
