Apperance: Short, stocky, and hairy, Gin--as virtually all his friends call him--looks like Robin Williams mixed with a barrel. He keeps his hair in dreads (don't ask, it was a drunken dare), goes too long without shaving, and generally doesn't take care of himself because he so often goes without seeing sunlight. He's pretty much nocturnal and looks it--pale and with bags under his eyes. His most striking feature, however, are his luxurious eyebrows.

Personality: Bored. Very, very, very bored. Gin was once a happy go lucky kid, with his full life in front of him, before realizing that life wasn't that simple, even in the strange world that is Gaia. He found that not everyone who aspired to be a top selling horror author could actually be one; in fact, the vast majority of them aren't. So, while he slowly worked on His Masterpiece, he got a job working nights at a small video store in South Barton--which slowly killed his faith in humanity.

Home and the Video Store

"Home" for Gin is a very small appartment that has lasted him since the end of college and that he's never really left. It's located only a few minutes walk from the video store in a complex in South Barton. Very small, very cozy, very sparse, and very dirty. Remember, he's a poor and struggling author here.

He does not own any other pets,..or any other THINGS, really, besides the bare essentials. In fact, his pride and joy is an old laptop and external hard drive he keeps hidden away for the most part. On these is His Masterpiece, a horror novel that would be the number one best seller...if the publishers would stop sending it back.

Gin is the night manager at Bogart Video, a small video rental place that caters to the drunk, high, night owl, and creepy loner crowds. Although he usually has at least one or two people working with him earlier in the night, he is alone by the time the store closes at 2 a.m. (3 a.m. on weekends).
