Ok THere is a story kinda behind this. You see a while back me and my friend went to this huge christian gathering, it was awsum! During that time we decided to sponcer a child, we both agreed to take care of her and she would pay 15 a month and I would pay 15 a month. She payed at first, but then each month she started forgeting until I had to pay for her, now we had planed on doing this together, and I payed A LOT of money of my own includeing hers to support the child. But I just recently found out she isnt going to pay me back the money i payed for her and whats worse is she is going to stop helping with the child because of money issues. I felt a little hurt that she would do that to me, I know she has money issues but she also said that she would be able to pay no matter what happened in the begining. Now I have to decide weather or not I should keep paying the full amount of money or just stop paying for the little girl. Its very hard for me to make this decision because all my money is curently gone and I also am suffering with my school work and friends, I'm not sure if it would be a good or bad thing that I should stop. I'm not asking for someone to make a decision for me, I would just like to know what your opinions are..

Unfortunately, it seems she made an agreement without previously considering the responsbility of that agreement. If she found she couldn't really make those shared payments, she could have asked you in the middle if it was such a problem.
Is there someone else you can ask to share the payments with?

It seems that she is unable to give. Who knows what may her problems be financially or otherwise at this time may be. There is not much else but forgive and forget in that sence.
However I do not think that you should stop paying for the child you are supporting. 30$ right? Things in life may be discouraging you but don't let go. hold fast. It never hurts to ask people, anywhere. try asking the people at your school, you may be surprised. and also ask those at your youth group. the more people putting money in the less financial stress on every one. if you had 6 people you would each only be paying 5 dollars a month, and that may still add up to a lot, but it is better.
(and think on it, the child is living off of 30$ a month, how much money do you think is spent on you a month?)

♥ I'd say it's really your decision. If you honestly can not afford it, Then by all means, stop. Unless you feel called by God to keep on paying, Why should you if it's harming you? We're not called to put ourselves in gutters. We're called to be generous. But you know, If it's putting you out into a financial crisis... Stop doing it. That's not a sin.
