Appearance: When fully clothed, it would be extremely difficult to spot Pup anywhere. Her pale skin and short raven hair make it easy for her to go unnoticed in a crowd, as long as her face remains downcast. On each cheek is what appears to be streaks of a black tattoo. One other notable feature is her eyes; Pup's right eye is a deep gold while the other is a midnight blue. Her eyes generally remain serious and cold. This makes her small slender figure, standing at about five feet in height, seem frail or savage at times.
Pup isn't the type to wear clothing. Instead, her skin alternates between a peach flesh color and what appears to be black tribal tattoos. These markings are not tattoos, but are artificial flesh. As she was growing in the lab, her body reached a point where it would no longer develop skin, so Light and Knox created skin for her.. Her golden eye was also their doing. To some, it might seem odd that she prowl around in the nude. The thing is, Pup has no real parts to hide. Her breasts do not have nipples and her "downstairs" appears as if she were a doll lacking gender.
Inside of her body, she does, in fact, have reproductive organs. The only way she can have a child, though, is through surgery. Pup does not use the restroom because she does not eat, and when she does, her body absorbs every last part of what she consumes and coverts it into energy, no matter what it is. The only article of clothing she wears is a tattered red scarf. This piece of cloth was given to her by Light as a parting gift from the lab. It is her only valued possession.
Her face is often scowling or leering in a way. Her body makes it seem as is she's starving. She has small wrinkles under her eyes that indicate a lack of sleep. Her fingernails are unnaturally thick, resembling claws. Like Nicco, most of her organs are artificial, making her another cyborg-esque creation. One other unique feature she has is two large animal ears atop her head, blending with her hair. While Nicco was created from the fetus of a human, Pup has been marred by her cat-demon of a mother.
Personality: Pup is more mysterious than Nicco. The only feelings that ever really surface are those of that surface at any given moment, like determination during a fight. She also seems is disbelief a lot of the time. She doesn't usually blurt out anything, but thinks things through before she speaks. She does, however, have a bit of a naive mind. Pup knows that she was created for a purpose, and she is set on doing her Master's bidding. When she does speak, she knows her place and always speaks clearly. her mood is extremely stable, even under a ton of pressure.
Mentally, she is constantly thinking. As quiet as she is, she's always wondering why things happen or what's going on. Having little to no experience in the world, everything comes as a shock to her and she has to constantly be on her toes in order to react. Because of this, she can be standoffish or skittish at times.
Pup isn't the most social person in the world. She is, although, extremely dedicated. She has her Master and she does whatever he dictates. She doesn't know what loyalty to frights is, considering she has none. She IS amazed by others' emotions though. It puts strain on her and makes her second guess herself and her existence.
She's very fragile, considering she's only a tool and she knows it. Connecting with others is something she has a hard time doing. needless to say, she's one serious character with a lot of internal conflict. One would never ever see her cry, ever. She's a fighter, and that's what she does. Like Nicco, she also functions in a mechanical manner.
History: Gillian was merely a pawn to a much powerful man. In the far corners of Durem, an underground lab exists. Professor Haunda, creator of Nicco Haunda, abandoned his partnership as founder and captain of the laboratory, Bella Starr, when his partner, Tyson Knox, began to take their research in a different direction than that of which Haunda had intended. Haunda was the head researcher working at Bella Starr. Once he fled the lab, he destroyed all evidence of his findings and went into hiding in Durem society. For roughly five years, Haunda hid while he continued his research alone, creating Nicco, an imperfect outcome yet so close to his goal.
Finally, Knox's men caught up with him. Stealing his research and destroying his lab, Gillian and his crew murdered Haunda and fled. Nicco was no where to be found at the time. Once in private, the research was divided into two. One part was mailed to Knox's secretary, Cora Light. The other was entrusted to Gillian and his men.
Within weeks, Nicco had retrieved the research Gillian was unable to hold on to. However, within those weeks, Light had returned to Bella Starr where she and Knox worked on an incomplete creation. They were awaiting the rest of the research notes to finish when news came in that the stolen research had been reclaimed by Nicco.
In a rage, Knox moved to terminate the incomplete project, but before he could, Light stopped him and convinced him to use this half-completely experiment to learn and grow from. They would use this project to once again steal Haunda's research. This experiment was given the appropriate name, Project Loveless.
Light, having been the one to spend most of her time with Loveless, grew to call her Pup, from her appearance and obedient nature. Giving the experiment the name of the lab, Pup Bella Starr was finally sent out into the world only a few weeks after her first breath to complete her one and only mission.
Void of emotion, Pup does as she's told. However, when she learns that her life will end as soon as her mission is complete, the instinct to survive rages within her.
