I've noticed that a good deal of you here love Edward, don't get me wrong, I think he's grand, but if he was in the books more do any of you feel he'd loose his charm. Personally I feel most of his lovability comes from the fact that we see so little of him, that we know so little of his life and his past. Personally in some ways I was disappointed with Obsidian Butterfly because Edward lost some of his mystery to me, but it was redeemable because it did give me more questions about Edward. So my fellow Anita Blake lovers, more Edward or less.

( ninja The joys of having class over the telephone..... ninja )
I personally like the fact that we know so little about him, and that he's not in every book. The less Edward, the better. And no, I don't hate him. .-. He's right up there with Jean-Claude and Gil ( xd Who a few should now know I heart ).
I like to pride myself as a somewhat decent fanfiction character, and my speciality has always been giving character's pasts that aren't in the books or show. Edward gives me a lot to write about. He barely know nothing of him, expect that he wasn't always like this, that he has the highest body count, and likes to use a flamethrower ( xd I fell in love with him before even meeting him. ninja Gotta love a man who uses a flamethrower).
That, and I'm still bitter over the way LKH has changed Anita so much. I do fear that if Edward more in the books, that he'd like....start wanting to shag a lot of people too gonk And I'd seriously debate the death of my books if that had happened ninja

I agree with Bobsthename! I love Edward, but I like the mystery. Sure I'd like to learn about Van Cleef, but not to the extent that it takes away the Edward's past. I was a little thrown by Obsedian Butterfly with Edward giving Anita advice on her love life. xd
I still wonder about the way Edward thinks. I know he may want to be with Donna, but I wondered how in the hell did they become gf and bf in the first place? If OB said how, then will someone plz PM me the info.! I could've skipped something. Donna didn't seem Edward's type...Anita does, but ppl don't always want to be with ppl just like them. I just like Edward and I like his mysteriousness, and I do hope to find out more about him, but I like his every once and a while appearances. I hope he'll show up in the next book though (will there be another one after ID??) b/c LKH. has kept him out long enough!!!! We need an update on Edward's life!!!

I never thought about it but you're right. I love Edward to pieces and a big part it is because of the mystery. Personally, I like thinking Edward goes home to the batcave at night and not Donna. In fact, I forgot her name as well as the children's names before talking about the books in this forum. They were a bit of a disappointment to me, but all and all it didn't change my love for the character.
I'm glad he's not in every book.. I like to think of him as that silent guy during a brawl that you just wait for because you know when he starts moving all hell is going to break loose.

Eh, I don't know...I love Edward ((favorite character)) and I'd love to learn more about his past. I think he could make more frequent appearances without losing his man-of-the-shadows mystery, if LKH played her cards right. I think there are ways we could find out more about Edward that raises more questions than it answers...
sweatdrop You know what I mean?

Sorry to disappoint, but I love sociopaths!!!! I find them fascinating! Anyone ever watch OZ on HBO? Chris Keller played brilliantly by Christopher Meloni was the ultimate sociopath and he was so sexy!!!

I was so happy when Anita got to be mean to Donna in the parking lot outside of the Mexican restaurant after the goons attacked them! It made me all warm & toasty inside.

Lotsa lotsa lotsa lotsa edward... heart but somehow I like the mystery...didn't like donna and the kids at all. Somehow, I feel that getting to know edward to well would either have everyone ending up dead, or having him turn into a person that was too normally human. Edward is cool just the way he is, but I think he should show up some more. Yup yup.

I like Edward simply because he has yet to be f*^#ed with... both figurativly and literally. I hope he comes to St. Louis in the next book if only just to lower the volume of the endless amount of sex.

Valtanwar I like Edward simply because he has yet to be f*^#ed with... both figurativly and literally. I hope he comes to St. Louis in the next book if only just to lower the volume of the endless amount of sex. That made me laugh right out loud xp It also made me wonder if that's part of the reason why I like him so much. I'd rather fight with Edward (along side of him. I'm not crazy) than sleep with him. I don't want to see him anywhere near a bedroom unless he's there to play sniper with some unlucky creature across the hall.
