Sol sat outside the HQ for once, reading on the grass. The weather outside was gorgeous, but his attention wasn't focused on that. It was focused on the book in front of him, a new one, about things he'd not learned before. The library of the HQ truely was an asset he thought, though, he knew he was worrying his daughter from his lack of socialization... it was just, as of late... he was too busy.
Too scared too, that he would just end up killing another realtionship and hurting someone, though Estra had been the one that hurt him more he thought.
But enough pointing fingers... Flipping a page he once more focused on the book. He'd admit he was lonely... "Wish I had somebody to talk to..."

Karma was walking along, getting very near the HQ. She hadn't been there in a while and thought Fate may want her there for some reason or other.
Karma wasn't watching where she was going and stumbled over a tree root. She tumbled until she landed right infront of the elder. She looked up and had an awkward smile on her face. "Hi. I'm Karma." Dumb ole Fate, couldn't she be nicer?

I seem to have a Fae in my book... A pretty fae... Sol chuckled and shook his head. "I'm Sol, are you alright?" He asked, not really worried about his book right now, since well, he could fix it if it got damaged... well the library would anyway, he didn't know how, but it tended to fix books he'd found that were damaged.
Moving back a bit he rose into a crouch, and offered the Fae woman a hand.

"I think so...just Fate's way of showing me where to go." She took his hand to help herself up. Fate must have wanted her to meet him. Why, though? He was an elder? He probably didn't need company.

"Heh, fancy that, just when I was wanting some company," He chuckled, and sat again, patting the spot in the grass next to him. "Fate must be mighty intuative to figure that out."
Sol was anything but a fatalist, not really believing that his life was fated, rather that he made his own by his choices. Regardless, he smiled, it was nice to meet people.
"So, were you doing anything in particular or just taking a walk? I would hate to make you late for something..."
NO! Sol's inner male was screaming, STOP TRYING TO PUSH PEOPLE AWAY!
Sol shook his head slowly. "I mean... if you're not busy, would you like to stay and uhm... talk?"
Why did he feel so nervous?

"Oh, she is! She knows everything and leads me where I am to go." Karma smiled, he was pretty nice. Most didn't really understand Fate...
"I have no where to be, but here with you." She took the seat next to him and looked out at the view. "Fate isn't always nice at how she nudges me along, but it ususally ends up great...so what do you want to talk about?"

"Uhm... I don't know... What do you like to do?" He chuckled. "I mean, do you have any hobbies or?" Sol smiled at her, still quite a bit nervous. "I myself don't do much, just read... usually..."
Eghads he felt like he was about to sweat bullets. He was so not used to social interaction anymore! At least not with cute girls.

Karma smiled as she noticed the elder was a bit, out of sorts. "Um..I like to wander. Follow Fate to where I need to go."
She touched his shoulder with her hand. "Are you ok? You seem nervous or something." She always assumed that Elders were always composed, but she hadn't really met any.

"I wish I could say I wasn't, but I am, to be honest I'm not used to talking to people all that much anymore... Definatly not beautiful people like yourself..." Shaking his head a little Sol chuckled. "I'm not, as they say, the most talkative person anymore! Wish I could be though, I miss not having the ability to really talk it out with people..."

Karma nodded, "Well, that is why Fate brought me here then." She smiled at his comment, no one had said that about her before and she wasn't sure what to make of it. "Well, just talk to me. I'm a good listener and I'm not going anywhere."

Sol chuckled, shaking his head slowly, but allowing himself to calm a little. "I used to be a good talker too, but then I became a good listener when I really stopped having things of relevence to say... That being said though, I think it's high time for me to get some talking in eh?" Smirking he shakes his head. He was being silly he was sure, after all, he was old, or at least he felt it.
So just because she was beautiful and talking to him didn't mean she was interested... Not only that, but he wouldn't know the first place to start on flirting... Good Gaurdians, he'd been out of the dating loop for far too long.
"So, uhm... Come around here often?" Oh yeah, SMOOTH!

Karma smiled, "I doubt that and Elder wouldn't have anything of relevence to say. You proabably know alot." Karma liked that she could hep him, or at least hoped she could. Thank, ya, Fate!
"Well, no not really." She didn't pick the HQ...but then she didn't pick where she ended up. "Fate picks where I go, why do you come here often?" Never had been hit on, Karma didn't really know what a pick up line was.

"I live here... Sort of... I've moved into one of the rooms here, usually though I spend most of my time in the library..." Sol knockled the book next to him, letting it make a little noise.
"I know a lot sure, but not a lot of it is really, I don't know... Relevant? I'm trying to study the history of the isle, but I can't help but think that I'm missing a lot of it. Most of the books that surivived are vauge, if containing any pertinant information..." Shaking his head he sighed. "All I really know is that I'm probably not going to find out anything important. But that really doesn't matter, not many people are interested in what happened in the past, most are more worried about the now."
Laughing a little, he let out a slow sigh, "But really, I think in the long run, the now is more important than the past, since we do live in the now after all..."

((Funny, but too godmoddy? lol))
Karma listened intently as he talked. It was nice to listen to others talk, she enjoyed it the most of anything she had ever done. It was what helped her learn about others, but listening.
"Yes, but learning from the past helps you not repeat it." She felt she had heard that somewhere, but wasn't sure. "It's neat that you have been learning that stuff. I don't know much of anything...really." At least this was how she felt. Maybe she should start reading too?

Sol chuckled, "You sure?" He asked her, turning a little. "I'd be glad to teach you anything you'd like to learn about... that is, anything I know," Shaking his head a little he laughed. "I know a bit about basic stuff, but I'm not all that knowledgeable about interacting with people... Im sure it's obvious... I think I've lost that ability really... But I blame myself for that..."
He could list the bad choices he'd made really easy...
