Please read rules first!
Its time the Guardian's start promoting more Pae'il to Elder, but now with so many on the island now, its getting tough to pick! And the Guardians realize that maybe not all Pae'il want the responsibility of being an Elder. So they've decided to offer this questionnaire, so they may know which pae'il are seeking the promotion.Only Pae'il that meet these qualifications are eligible:Must be an Adult
Must be active - Pae'il AND Owner
Must have a power
Must have a well-rounded personality developed. (ie. is not powerplayed, godmodded, or boring. This pae'il has faced trials in their life and learned from them, has recognizable weaknesses, etc.)
Must have made social connections (a mate, a wife, a few friends, etc. because loner pae'il will not be selected for Elder, as once a Pae'il gets to that stage, much is expected of them as far as interaction goes.)
Must have an up-to-date Journal.
Rules for submitting a Completed Questionnaire:You may submit a questionnaire for only 3 of your pae'il at a time! (if one of yours does get selected and becomes an elder, you may submit for another one.)
PM the form to Guardian_Iris
BE PATIENT! Submitting a questionnaire does NOT guarantee the Elder stage. But it does give them a chance.
Elders will now only be selected from submitted Questionnaires.
No whining for any reason please! Before or after you get an Elder. (questions are always welcomed, whining is not.)
Elders will also be getting a physical change. They will no longer change into Elves with human skin coloring. They will RETAIN their Adult stage's skin color. Their height is now comparable to an Adult as well, making them no longer twice as tall. (this is to eliminate awkwardness between couples where one is not an Elder yet.)
Elders can now BREED! However, they may not have official 'expecting' art because there is no lineart for it.
Elders will be chosen ONLY from completed Questionnaires! (This includes staff!)

Why would this Pae'il be a good Elder? (In Character AND Out of Character response please!)
There's a lot of hard times ahead for some of the inhabitants of the island, would you be willing to do whatever it takes to protect all Pae'il and their way of life?
How easily swayed are you? If a tall, dark stranger approached you and offered power beyond your comprehension, in exchange for your unquestioning, devoted loyalty, would you do it? Why?
Sometimes, Elder Quests are very mentally and emotionally draining. Sometimes, imaginary scenarios are presented designed to test your character. Can you cope or deal with anything that may be put in front of you?
The Pae'il, as a whole, are in dire need of leadership. Are you ready?
Are you willing to take on a different power or role, than the one you are accustomed to?
What is the first thing you would do, after you became Elder?
You see a Pae'il that has obviously been severly injured. What do you do?
Would you ever question anything the Guardians told you to do?
If you were instructed, during your Quest, to stop another Pae'il from completing their Quest, would you do it?
What challenges would you like to see your Pae'il meet in their Quest?
What challenges would you NOT like to see in your Pae'il's Quest?
Suggestions for the 'look' of your Elder Pae'il: (keep in mind, I don't have to follow these to a tee, its only to give me an idea)

Notes
Keep these points in mind please:Not ALL pae'il can be Elders, which is why there is a strict selection process.
Antidia is a SLOW artist. Patience is a GOOD thing. Whining is NOT. Whining will kill any chance of getting an Elder. Whining includes complaining about the quest, the 'look' of the Elder or anything regarding Elders. A good rule of thumb is, "If you continually upset the shop owner, don't expect an Elder"
Quests WILL be HARD! They will be Challenging! But that is the POINT! If you need assistance, don't hesitate to ask. A "partner" to help RP the quest out can be provided.
Despite what is written in the quests, A Pae'il will not be written to fail. Even if there is opposition designed to make them fail.
A Pae'il will only fail their quest due to the PLAYERS fault. Either not playing nice, half-assing the quest, upsetting the shop staff, or getting listed. Quest CONTENT will not cause a Pae'il to fail.
Some Pae'il will be selected to be Elder ahead of others due to their role, their power or the 'need' for that particular pae. This is a plot-driven Pet Shop.
Elders are REQUIRED to stay active. Any Elder that goes inactive for 6 months will have their powers/role/abilities removed. After 1 year of inactivity, they will be reverted back to their Adult stage. (and if new adult art is available, they will not get it.) WITHOUT NOTICE!
Definitions:Loner: Any pae'il that has not interacted with any other Pae'il or NPC.
Power: This is defined as the special ability that is unique to the pae only. Can be a magical power, unique ability or enhanced sense.

I've got a question -yay, first post- is it still necessary for the offspring of the pae desiring to be elder to be a child teen or older?

I have a question as well, dear Iris! xD So there's no longer a set amount of time an adult must be an adult before applying? I have no adults yet, but just for possible future reference... ~.^

I have no adults yet, but just for possible future reference... ~.^ There actually is, but I am gonna keep that a secret for now, so people don't clamor for growth fruits to hurry up the process. wink Plus, its not THE deciding factor, just one of many. But I really would like to see all Adults that WANT to be Elder, to apply. Because sometimes, I will decide based on the need for a particular power for plot, over their age. 3nodding

another question! In the questionair, it asks why the pae would be a good role model, answer OOC and IC. Does the IC mean for the pae to talk regularly to the questionair or to scavange around for another rp post/make one up that expresses why

(why I would like to see both responses) There's room for you to answer however you'd like. As if the Pae'il was in an interview, or filling out the application themself, or maybe just thinking to himself. Its up to you what format you use.

Um, I had two questions regarding the new pae'il elder art. ^^;
Since Kymo is one of the 'elven/human' types, I thought it wouldn't be as awkward once Woobie, her husband, became an elder as well. But since they won't be any taller now, does that mean he'll be shorter forever?
I'm sorry, I know it's a silly question; I just thought it was ironic considering the reason for the change. sweatdrop
And as for elders being able to breed now...is that only for the new elders who aren't elf/human types?

Its to be assumed that the change effected the old elders as well. An upcoming plot will help to explain it.
The art won't look any different for new elders vs. old elders. The height chart has already been adjusted to reflect the change. The elders will still have noses, mouths, more defined heads, limbs, digits, etc.
The only change people will actually notice ... elders won't have human colored skin. And I will be going back over older elders and changing gradually as well. (their skin, back to what it was when they were adults. I have 8 elders to rehome, so I don't think I will doing it anytime soon tho.) xd
