ok me and my bro are both aspiering tatoos artist and he keeps tattoing in lines but after word you can see wherehe shaded and i say that you are suposed to shad in circles but he says lines...so whitch one is it?...<3

People tattoo differently, just like people draw/paint differently. Personally, I think shading in circles works faster for more even coverage and fading, but I know people who do a kind of 'digging' move and that works just as well.

I find that the circleing method is less painful and more thurough [based on discussions with artists in my area]
