Down a long narrow corridor deep within the confines of the Purple Penguin Society. The walls lined with plush black velvet, ceiling painted black with a few silver chandeliers barely lighting the way. Featureless doors seem to lead only back to this hallway no matter which turn is made. The dead end is furnished with a simple floor-to-ceiling black velvet curtain, that sways enticingly. Behind this curtain is a stone alcove carved in obsidian with a sliding metal door just big enough for a feminine frame. Once opened, brilliant light fills the dark corridor.
The Iris Iceberg Lounge is decorated mainly in white, silver and black appears as well subtly. But the namesake of Iris is proven by various accents in a rainbow-rific hues. Snowy white marble flooring and counter tops as well at white velvet lined walls. From the ceilings hang intricate crystal chandeliers with bulbs that shift in brightness and hue.
Left of the entrance is a bar, with easy access just in case a waiter isnt attending. The farthest wall is lined with white leather couches with a variety of hued pillows, back to back in a booth-like formation. Each with a low marble table, a colorful vase centerpiece filled with Irises and baby's breath flowers.
Rightmost corner holds a pit of squishy bean bags and pillows. Some are fluffy and small, about the size of a snowball. Others are as huge as a kingsized mattress, though such rarely find their way to the top of the pile.
Opposite the bar, is a raised simple stage with an ivory microphone and gauzy rainbow curtains. The mic is always on, and improv poetry slams or comedic plays are always welcome. In a low but long chest behind the curtains contains various compact instruments and silly props.

((I hadnt decided on the profiles bit yet. Twas aiming for casual with people just making a detailed intro post or some such thing. Anyone whom thinks they're gonna be a regular can pm me a profile to be posted in the secondary post if they want one up. And anyone wanting to help out can do so. Its more a clubhouse than a functioning business. Help/Hang out enough and Im sure people will be plopped on the Locals List. Whoo. That was rambleh.))

Priscilla stepped daintily into the room, her violet dress swaying as she entered the room. She sat at the bar and ordered a Bloody Mary as she tapped her freshly manicured nails on the marble countertop.
"Seems it isn't as empty as it used to be..." she noted as she noticed the manager was in the vacinity.

Rivei watched Priscilla enter, with a stray thought of jealousy as she gazed at the graceful violet dress the newcomer wore. She took a moment to chew on her pen as she sat within the corner 'booth', various boring paperwork and a concept sketch or two lying in a pile on the table forgotten as the plain waitress served the patron her drink.

Rivei stifled a yawn with the back of her right hand, and idlely glanced downward at her wrist watch...one eye half closing in a grouchy grimace. Ugh. Im always up so late...
Shaking off the tiniest bit of sleepiness, and embracing insomnia Rivei got up from her comfortable corner seat and took off running down the row of couched booths. Her hand tapping the arms of each as she passed, as if counting down. With a jungle-queen-esque yell of 'IEEEE-AEEE!!' she leapt up into the air and cannonballed into The Pit of pillows and squishy bean bags.
Landing with a winded 'Ooof' she lay prone for a few minutes, grinning in that hyperactive-havent-slept-in-a-while way.

Priscilla was listening to the beautiful Mozart playing on the piano in the back as another individual stepped in with music blasting from her ipod.
She walked over there, huffily, a little angry that she couldn't walk that fast, nor angrily in her fishtail dress. It was hard enough to walk as it was.
She bent down and spouted off in the girl's face.
"Hello? Heelllooo! Anybody there?" she asked, gently tapping on the girl's left earphone,"Would you please turn that awful cacaphony of music down?!"
She'd had a long day...No question about it. She sat herself back at the bar, took a sip from her three-fourths-gone bloody mary and took a long drag of her cigarrette.
((In rl...for me...it'll always be no smoking...but it adds class in my character's case, I think... xD))

Rivei rolled onto her side to stare at the going-ons, and smothered a little grin. Tilted her head downward she tried to concentrate of the rhythm coming from the ipod buds, pondering what the song might be.
