((I'm a little rusty because I haven't wrote in a while but I'm sure this will pick up!! btw we're starting a little after season 7)) The Cast (Thus Far)

Angel: O Deep Thought Buffy sighed contently as they drove in Giles' new car down the country road. Out the window Buffy noticed that the sun created that glare effect thingie that you only see in movies, and the crops gently swayed in the wind. Buffy forgot how quiet the rest of the world really was, she took for granted living in California. They didn't really have a new home, not yet anyway. They had been traveling for awhile, with Willow using a Fake Money spell every time they needed to rest at a hotel. Buffy had split the gang up into several groups with Willow, Giles, Dawn, and herself all in one group. She wanted Xander to go with her, but this might be better in the long run. There were many reasons why he didn't come along, actually. Buffy had never told Xander this, but seeing him without an eye all the time bothered her. It was like she irreversibly failed in a way, and it was too depressing. It's true, she lost a lot of Potentials, but she never got close to them the way she got close to Xander. Xander shouldn't even be in this, but he would be loyal until the end. She swore that she would surprise him, that she would come back with a way to restore his eye. Suddenly, Buffy turned to face Willow and smiled gently at her. "You're really brave, Will. I know you wanted Kennedy to tag along, but you're right, girlfriends - or in my case, boyfriends, will only distract us in the long run." Buffy nudged Dawn. "Dawn, stop sleeping all the time and pay attention. You're a part of this too." Buffy blew a few strands of hair out of her eyes. "We have another Hellmouth to shut down. Yay us!" The other teams were in charge of gathering the Slayers. Buffy's team was responsible for diluting evil's grasp on the rest of the world, to lower the barriers around the next Hellmouth and to shut it down for good. They went from town to town helping the helpless by lowering the demonic population. They weren't ready for Cleveland yet, but they'll get there, some day. Buffy was pretty much over the 'normal life' thing for now. It will come when she's ready and when she's accomplished more things. She finally was comfortable with her inner freak by making even more freaks.

Buffy's eyes perked up. Everytime she had a genuine emotional connection with Willow, she could sometimes read Willow's thoughts without trying - as if the witch was magically projecting herself on Buffy by accident due to the bond they had. It was nothing but annoying to be truthful, and Buffy wished Willow would learn to control it already. But what she heard really concerned her.
"Willow!" Buffy piped up. "I know you miss Tara but...no distractions, remember?"

(Please do not let my screen name and avatar confuse you. I will be playing Giles, as Solidify mentioned.)
Giles continued driving, missing his old car. He spent the long drive amusing himself with ways to get revenge on Ethan for the loss of his favorite car, provided he hadn't been in Sunnydale when the mini-apocalypse destroyed it. No, the sorcerer, dense as he was, was too canny for that.
He stayed out of the girls' conversation, as he had always done, until Willow accidentally sent a few stray thoughts into his head, interrupting his mental image of Rayne in a tutu, forced to dance for eternity. "Willow." he chided gently. "Erm, perhaps it's time to work on your thought control, yes?" He looked vaguely ill: he had seen a glimpse of a bloodstained blouse, bullet hole plunged viciously through it.

"OH!" Willow snapped out of the dreamlike state while looking out the window. "I'm sorry guys. I'm just wiped. After a spell like that one, it might be a while before I get all back into whack." She looked back out the window. She missed Xander so much. Other than buffy, he was her best friend. She really didnt miss Kennedy as much as she thought she would. No one could ever replace Tara, and she didnt want anyone too.

Buffy rested her eyes, which no doubt made Dawn furious at the hypocrisy. She couldn't have been asleep for more than fifteen minutes though, but when she opened her eyes she noticed that the world had become darker.
"Are we there yet?" Buffy whined to Giles like a five-year-old.
The thought of the next battle was never too far off Buffy's mind.
((I'm thinking we can go to a rural town that has a zombie problem or something, I dunno... ))

"Not yet, Buffy. But it's getting late. We either have to get more gas while there's still light out, and keep moving, or we should find a house where we can sleep in safety." Giles, knowing Buffy needed to be the leader, left the choice up to her. The only thing he allowed himself to be the leader of was the driving, because Buffy lacked a license.

][ coolgirl, you might want to edit your post to reflect an OOC status like putting (( )), [ ], { } around what you've typed.
Also, this type of commentary would be best kept in the RP discussion thread as it interupts the flow of RPing. Another idea is sending a PM to Solidify and asking what characters are available to play. ][

"I say we crash and burn. It seems like all of us are getting a little sleepy." Buffy smiled as Willow was sleeping on one of her shoulders and Dawn on the other.
She looked out the window and saw a sign for a motel in the next 3 exits. When they arrived there Buffy noticed that it was a shady looking place, with most of the lights missing.
Buffy slightly motioned for Willow and Dawn to get up. "We can't be too choosy guys. The Spartans wouldn't need anything more" Buffy then thought of Gwendolyn Post for some reason. What a b***h.
I should really get my license soon Buffy thought. If something happens to Giles, one of us needs to be able to drive, and both Willow and Dawn can't. She didn't want to think that she would lose Giles, but she had to be ready for anything. She had to be tough. If she ever wanted to get back into heaven, she knew there would be no easy shortcuts.

Willow, being shook awake rubed her eyes. "Cleavland?" she looked around seeing the semi-lit motel sign. "Bates Motel?"
Willow shrugged when no one made any comment to her reference. Man, she wished Xander was here. Opening the car door, she stepped out. The place was deserted. "No cars, No..." looking in the manager's office"..help. Where is everyone. I thought this was a motel. We aren't THAT far from a city are we?"
Willow put her hands up to the glass of the manager's office and looked for any sign of life. She looked back to the group, still huddled around the car. "Come to think of it, Where ARE we?"

"I wish I could say, Willow, but to tell the truth, I don't have the foggiest idea where we are. However, my maps are slightly old..." said Giles, clearly evading telling them something. "Well, shall we wake the manager? Do any of you have a cell phone?" he asked, peering at the phone number on the sign on the door.

"Uh yeah, sure." Buffy took out her cell phone and dialed the number.
"YOU'LL ALL DIE!"
Buffy sighed and snapped shut the cell phone before putting it back in her pocket.
"Dawn and Giles, stay back. Willow and I will take care of most of them." Buffy ran up and kicked open the door.
There was a nest of about seven vampires. There were lots of dead bodies too, including the rotting corpse of the old hotel manager hunched across the desk.
"It's funny, people usually run away when we say that." A female vampire snarled, who was clearly the leader of them all. She had curly red hair and bright red lipstick that so did not match her complexion. She was wearing pearls and a tattered old mink dress with polka dots, and cowboy boots with spurs.
"Yeah well, what can I say..." Buffy cartwheel kicked the vampire in the face, and then followed through with an uppercut. "I'm a non-conformist." Two more vampires then lunged at her, but Buffy grabbed them by the back of her necks and smashed their skulls together.
While the chaos was going on, a single vampire crept its way towards Dawn.

((I think it would be REALLY cool to sire Dawn mwa ha ha ha ha...would make Buffy go crazy for awhile, and that's always fun!)) It's only their first battle but doesn't mean that things can't go seriously wrong!!!
Sam, who likes torturing his characters as it makes things interesting.

Willow took on a vamp of her own. She tried magick, but was futile in her weakend state. So, she faught, stake in hand.
She was thrown against the doorframe, enough to see the vampire close on dawn. "Giles! Dawn!" She mentally screamed at Giles. As she was doing so, the vampire she had been fighting closed in on her. She was feriously trying to push him off with one hand, as the one holding the stake was pinned back. He let his fangs close close to her neck. "OH! No you dont!" She pushed harder, her hand starting to emit a white orb. "I've been down that road, thank you." The orb errupted sending the vampire into a display case. Willow stalked over and staked him into dust.
More vampires emerged from the back room of the office. "Uh, Buffy! Don't you think we might want to get the heck out of here? Theres too many of them! I don't think I have the strength." she back towards the door to the parking lot, and turning to see a vampire right in her way. He picked her up by her shirt and threw her over the desk.
