Has anyone here takent the JLPT, and if so, what level? How did you study for it. I am going to try to take 2 kyu this winter.

No, though I meant to take it. I think I was supposed to take 2kyu, only I missed the signup deadline because the Area Reps didn't tell me about it in time. (The deadline was really early, like the beginning of September for the December test.)

I've done the IV and III level... I'd like to take II level someday too, but I still have a long long way to go crying ... and what goes for studding ... i just studied kanji, words and grammar..

well..i failed level 1 by 30 points crying
anyways, there are actually JLPT study guides on amazon and japanese bookstores carry them too. If you have a japanese instructor at your school (be it HS or college) they may be able to get you some info as well.

I'm supposed to take level 2 at the end of this year, but I don't know if I can bothered, it costs a bit too. I might just wait and take level one, as it's the only one that really counts for anything

I've passed three and four, and I'm currently studying for two. I'll probably sit the test this winter since I don't think I'm working nearly hard enough to pass it.

I Took Level IV and passed... dont know how haha really... i got lost in the listening part...
Well my teacher prepared us with previous years' tests... so to know what to expect... because it was our first time taking the exam...but i tell you it was harder than the last ones.
