Chapter One
Summary: It has been about two months since Rory’s graduation. That day was the day Luke and Lorelai had gotten back together and the day Logan proposed to Rory. Rory had said no ending their relationship. Rory is currently working for a small Connecticut newspaper.
Lorelai and Rory were talking on the phone. Luke was out of town with his daughter April and Sookie was having the baby soon. “Mom I can’t come over until tomorrow,” Rory explained.
“Why not? Just skip work,” Lorelai said.
“No way mom I will not skip work. Go over to Sookie’s or something,” Rory said.
“Are you crazy you know that woman is crazy right now she is going to have that baby any day now I hope,” Lorelai said hopefully.
“Go hang out at the inn then,” Rory said sounding annoyed.
“Fine you have your serious voice on now. I guess I will see you tomorrow at ten right?” Lorelai asked.
“Yeah I’ll be there at ten. Bye mom. Watch T.V. or something,” Rory suggested.
“Yeah, yeah bye honey see you tomorrow,” Lorelai said before she hung up. She thought to herself maybe I’ll get an apple. That was weird she knew that the only time she had ever wanted fruit was when she was pregnant with Rory. Oh well she thought it is probably nothing. When she went into her kitchen she realized she had no food which was normal for her. Oh well I don’t feel like going to the market so I guess I’ll just order pizza. After she had ordered the pizza she turned on the T.V. As she was flipping the channels she realized how weird it was she had wanted an apple. I couldn’t be could I? She thought as she heard the doorbell ring. “I’m coming,” she shouted.
“Here you are Lorelai,” Kirk said in his job voice when Lorelai opened the door.
“Kirk you work at the pizza place now too?” Lorelai asked. Kirk had a job at almost every business in Stars Hollow.
“Yes, I do Lorelai. The pizza comes to fifteen dollars,” Kirk said.
“Here is the money Kirk have a nice night,” Lorelai said.
“I will unless cat Kirk won’t let me sleep again,” Kirk said as Lorelai shut the door. He is crazy she thought to herself.
The next day Lorelai woke up at about nine. She was happy because Rory was coming over today and she hadn’t seen her in a while. After she took a shower and got dressed she took Paul Anka for a quick walk. When she got home she turned on the T.V. craving an apple again. I can’t can I? As she was thinking that the doorbell rang. She got up and opened the door it was Rory. “Hey kid I missed you,” Lorelai said as she hugged Rory.
“Hi mom I missed you to,” Rory said.
“Rory before you say anything I have something to tell you. I think I might be pregnant,” Lorelai told her daughter wondering if it was true.
“You might be what?” Rory asked with disbelief.

Chapter 2
“Rory I think I might,” Lorelai said to her daughter.
“Wow um… have you taken a pregnancy test yet?” Rory asked surprised.
“No I have one though. You know for just in case things like this,” Lorelai said.
“Take it then mom,” Rory said putting her bags down.
“Umm okay I’ll take it I guess,” Lorelai said getting nervous.
“I’ll wait here mom tell me as soon as you know,” Rory said as she sat on the couch. Paul Anka sat next to her and she petted him. A couple minutes latter Rory heard her mother scream and she and Paul Anka ran upstairs to her bedroom.
“Mom are you okay?” Rory asked as she and Paul Anka sat next to her mother on the bed.
“I’m pregnant Rory!” Lorelai shouted sounding shocked by the news.
“Oh mom are you okay? What are you going to tell Luke?” Rory asked surprised. She had a half sister from her dad GG, but she didn’t see her much. So the thought of having a sister or brother she would see a lot scared her.
“I’m fine. I don’t know what I’m going to tell Luke though we just got back together,” Lorelai said.
“Oh mom everything will be fine just tell him when he gets back tomorrow. I’m so happy for you mom!” Rory exclaimed.
“I know. I’m happy to another baby wow!” Lorelai said. Luke had been away for a week and she didn’t really want the first thing she said to him to be I’m pregnant.
“Hey mom lets go celebrate,” Rory said.
“Okay honey, but we can’t tell anyone until I tell Luke,” Lorelai explained.
“Okay mom lets go shopping,” Rory said. She couldn’t wait to spend some time with her mom.
“Sounds good,” Lorelai said.
The next day Lorelai woke up at about ten when she heard a knock on the door. She got up and went downstairs. She saw Rory walking to the door also because she had spent the night. They said hello and Lorelai opened the door and saw Luke. Rory and her both gasped as he said Hello.
“Hi Luke I need to tell you something,” Lorelai said nervously.
“Sure what is it,” Luke asked as he shut the door. After he had shut the door they walked into the living room and sat on the couch. Rory kept sending her mother encouraging glances.
“Luke I’m pregnant,” Lorelai said happy to have told him, but scared at the thought of what he might say.
