The sunlight was bright, it made his eyes hurt for a moment as he stepped out from the shelter of the overhang at the bakery. In his arms he he had a brown paper bag filled with mainly bread and in his other hand a pie box. Strawberry ruhbarb, the strawberry had been an unconcious decision and as soon as he realized why he had bought it he felt dperessed again. For a long while ha had fought with the idea that he should return the pie and finally come to the conclusion it didn't matter anyway. What was done was done. Maybe he will give it to someone else, someone who could better appreciate it than he could.
For once the boy looked like a young man. His hair was tied back in a pony tail, with his hand hurt he didn't want to risk dropping things by having his hair get in his way. For a short period of time he wondered if he should cut his hair. Something different would be a nice change, but he knew changing his outer appearance wouldn't change how he felt inside.
With a sigh, that seemed just as heavy as his grocery bag, he made his way slowly back to his house. He wore sandles and blue jeans that were truthfully a bit too tight, he would need to buy a new pair. He had lost weight so the fact he had pants that were too tight surprised him. HIs shirts though were too big for him. He had lost a bit of muscle since he had stopped eating properly as well stopped excercising. He intended to get back to his regim of running every morning, at least once he started eating properly again.

A young man slowly walked down the street with his hands in his pockets. He didn't looked depressed but more happy. He wore a grey and brown jacket that seemed to have been ripped apart and resown together. The young man also wore a blue turtle neck, blue jeans with two belts on each leg, and brown shoes. He was listening to an ipod so he seemed to be walking and lip singing. The one thing that stand out about him was his orange hair, his cat ears and tail.
The young cat man seemed to dance to the music so as he walk and lip sink he was dancing. One song on his iPod was Ok Go "Million Ways ". He knew a little of the dance and was doing the moves as he walked down the street. Yes people did stare but he didn't mind.
He then stoped for a moment to switch songs because he has somewhat large assortment of songs to choose from; many were anime songs. He like the latest song Tsumaski by Ore Ska Band. As he did he picket up a smell of strawberries. He sniffed the air and turned in the general direction that it was coming from.

Unfortunately for Aurora since he was lost in his own world of self pity and doubt, he seemed preoccupied as he walked down the street carrying his grocery bag. Perhaps if he had not been in his own little world he would of picked up the Kinnara vibe and noticed him right away.
Instead he kept moving shuffling along as if the bread weighed as much as rocks. And in fact he was out of shape, having not done much in the last couple months one would of thought he had been bed ridden in a hospital. Not that he looked that sickly, his cheeks had filled out some, but he certianly had gained a more chiseled face due to the lack of food.
He hoped to look like his old self quickly, that way he could return to normal.

Kinnara saw a young woman, being Auora, but he couldn't tell because the person looked so dead. He could tell they were having a hard time carrying the bag in her arms. He turned off his iPod and pocketed it away.
"Here ma'am let me help you with that," said Kinnara with his deeper voice. He smiled as he quickly took the bag from the woman. "You seem like you are having a hard time carrying this. If you show me were you live I can help you carry them toyour house."

Aurora was taken off gaurd as suddenly the bags he was carrying were lifted from his arms. Abotu to protest he stopped as he saw a family looking face, ears and tail. Kinnara? He looked older, sounded older for sure. Though his face flushed as the words ma'am finally resgistered. So he still looked like a women did he?
Not sure what to do and unable to speak he only nodded his head and idly waved towards the direction of his house. Tempted to slip the pad of paper out of his pants pocket and jot down a note for Kinnara explaining it was him. BUt...he was sure Kin would figure it out.

Kin just looked at the woman and smiled. "Don't worry I won't steal your stuff." He walked by her side carrying the bread in the bag. "You know this bread smells very good. Reminds me of a field of strawberries. " He ponder for a moment and shrugs. "Oh sorry for being rude but my name is Kinnara." He smiled again like he did when he was a happy little 13 year old kid.

Aurora avoided Kinnara's gaze as they walked. No he wasn't afriad of him stealing his food, the fact Kin didn't reconize him made him a bit sad, though he knew when he looked in a mirror he didn't reconize himself half the time. It felt like he was living in a strangers body.
Nodding his head at the introduction he finally pulled out his pad of paper and flipped to an empty page. He wondered breifly if he should just lie and make up a name, since kin didn't reconize him anyway, so instead he used a name he rarely was called.
Rose.
He printed the word neatlym in scraweled writing. It wasn't a lie, Briar Rose, Aurora, Briar...they were all his names...though he was never actually called Rose. He showed the peice of paper to Kinnara, tapping it and then himself to indicate name.

"Hmmm...Rose sounds like a pretty name." said Kinnara stopping at a street corner. "So which direction now Rose? I rather not get lost. I haven't been in this neighborhood in a long time. I rarely come here as it is unless if I am getting some excerise in the morning.' Just incase they had to cross the street he look both ways to make sure no cars were coming their way. "I am guessing that aren't able to talk and use paper to communicate." He was trying to make small talk and proubley failing at it.

Aurora flushed easily. Compliments always caughthim off gaurd. He pointed left, they weren't really that far, and he was for the first time in a while enjoying being with someone else.
He nodded his head at the question directed at him, and tapped the pad of paper again and showing Kinnara the pencil and giving a weak smile. How was he suppose to explain that he was being mute on purpose? Well...orignally on purpose now he just wasn't sure if he could talk anymore.
He wrote on his peice of paper nd then showed it to Kin.

As they got closer to his home, he wrote on a seperate peice and showed it tot he boy again.

"You missed me? I don't think we met before this is the first time we have met. At least I think it is. " Then it finally hit Kinnara.
"Rose......I mean Aurora is that you?"

They were basically at his front door. Aurora let out a long sigh and nodded his head at Kinnara. His head was starting to hurt him, probably due to lack of food. He blinked and smiled weakly up at Kinnara before opening his door with his key. Pushing the door open, he offered with a hand for Kinnara to enter his household.
It was hard to try and explain things without talking, hehad been alone for so long it didn't seem to matter at the time but now he was finding it frusterating. he opened his mouth to try and say something, but closed it without saying a word. His throat had tightened he foundi t hard to breath. Maybe next try it would work.

Kinnara now wondered what happened to Aurora. He looked more like a skeleton then ever. He never new that Aurora was going through so much. "So how long have you been like this? It not like you Aurora. I remember when you and I grew up together you were alway happy but look at you. You seem to be stuck on something or someone. I wish you could tell me and not behind the fear. Aurora you don't have to be afraid of telling me how you fell. I am your friend."

Aurora blinked at Kinnara, of course Kinnara was still his friend, but it wasn't like he didn't talk becuase he was afriad. Averting his gaze he shook his head, this isn't what is was about. Hung up on something? Yes that was a fact. Chewing on his lower lip he made a gesture for Kinnara to get inside. He could attempt his conversation indoors.

Kinnara entered Aurora house and went to the kitchen. He set bag on the counter and turned around. "I am sorry if I brought up some bad memories. I know you didn't like to kiss me when i was still a kid and maybe you are hung over that one girl but that is the past. You should move forward and charge the mountain. Aurora. You should live your life for you and not for your past. That is not why you were created just to be a puddle of depression which you will never recover from."

All the words. It almost made his headache worse. Closing the door he fallowed Kinnara inside and sat down on one of his kitchen chairs. The room looked like it had been recently cleaned. In his boredom he had basically sterilized the whole house.
Taking a deep breath he mulled over Kinnara's words, they made sense. Course it did, his mother said something similar though she didn't know in detail about what caused his depression. He cleared his throat, as if he was going to talk and opened his mouth..
a hoarse sound came through. It was...not even a word. Just a sound. Shaking his head he leaned his head into his hands. God, what could he do? He couldn't even say anything. His body shuddered as tears gathered in his eyes.
