just like there is a hammerspace....there is a "fanspace," but it exists for only Sanzo-sama...(and sometime Kagome from FMP...but this is the Saiyuki guild so exists for him).

He keeps it under that thing on his chest. I saw him pull it out of there when they ran into Rikudo in episode 10 (or 9, can't remember). As for how he does it when the robe is down, I am totally clueless. Maybe he transfers it to his pocket when we aren't looking.

It's definately in a pocket inside the robes or in the pocket in his jeans. Minkira san even noted that he wears jeans so why not have a hook on the belt to where he can put it when he needs to reach for it. Though the fan up the backside might explain a lot considering his annal attitude at times. xd
