Early morning. It wasn't a time that Guilian usually favored, but these days he'd been doing more and more that was out of the ordinary, at least for him. However, when one was doing their best to get some distance from certain elements of their lives...it tended to be smart to shake things up a bit.

He wasn't sure how long it had been since he'd left Izusa's prescence for the last time; that had been the last time he'd seen all three of his children at once as well as the last time he'd seen their mother...and of the two, the split from his kids had been hardest. The split from Izusa, now...THAT was entirely his choice.

And that was why he was out, roaming the paths of the great forest in the early hours of the morning. Even Izusa would have issues finding him here, and she likely wouldn't be searching at this time of day. If she was searching at all.

Chuckling at the path of his own thoughts, Guilian paused in his walking to fully enjoy that chuckle. Since when had he become so paranoid?

Since he fathered foals on a deranged kalona, apparently.

Four hooves struck the earth in a rhythmic two-beat. She was not rushing about at a gallop or even a canter, but she was trotting purposefully down the pathway, concentrating on her hooves touching ground at precisely the right moment to keep that perfect rhythm going.

The regular exercise she had been adhering herself to had not dimished her ample curves, but now beneath those curves muscle firmed and filled them. She wasn't quite as soft as she had been when she had first met Guilian, for she had decided that the best way to avoid her feared future was to change herself to not suit it. If she was fit and lean, even as an older mare, she would never be unwanted and unloved.

Sweat dampened her neck so that a few of her curls stuck here and there, though her tail, swishing with the rhythm, was entirely free and swirling in silken chos behind her hocks. She never exercised so much as to exhaust herself, or cover herself in sweat. Just enough to tone up those flabby muscles, though a few choice muscles were well toned already, due to her favorite sort of exercise with the boys.

So it was she did not see Guilian, so close as he was to the trail she traversed. Her entire focus was inward, on hooves hitting the dirt together precisely. Every morning, for a time, this was her only world.

His chuckling winding down, Guilian ran a wing over his face to dab away the slight bits of moisture that his laughter had caused. Man, did it feel good to laugh just for the hell of it!

However, that laughter seemed to have caused him to let his guard down, a fact he realized when he first became aware of the approaching hoofbeats. Immeadiately his expression became guarded, and he was glancing about warily for the source. That was no stallion approaching...

No sooner had the thought crossed his mind than he was scowling, not at the source but at himself. Since when had he been upset at the concept of meeting a mare? He was being ridiculous, that was what was going on.

That in mind, he was shaking away the negative thoughts, lifting up his shoulders, flipping back his wings becomingly and looking through the trees at...

"Luca-Chica??"

So startled by the sudden voice intruding on her personal time that she stumbled, then outright tripped over an inconveniently placed root. In the old days she might have fallen to her knees in shock and embarassment, but not now. Her balance restored almost instantly, and she caught herself with a snort, her forelock thrown across her eyes as she righted herself within a couple steps more.

She shook her head, only just slightly clearing her vision of her long forelock, and gazed down a slight embankment towards the familiar voice that had called to her. There stood a brilliant red splash of color amongst the darker, more muted early morning colors. A refreshing splash of color that could only be Guilian.

Blowing slightly in a mildly self-concious manner (what mare likes being caught exercising by the most handsome stallion she knows?), she nickered a soft welcome to him. "Why, hello Guilian love. Long time no see." She flicked her tail, remembering the fun they'd had together, but also the circumstances under which they had last seen each other. But that had been quite some time ago, and she chose to simply let it pass as if it had never happened.

Returning the bow with one of his own, Guilian couldn't hide the smile of delight that had crossed his face as soon as he'd realized that it wasn't Izusa. The realization that it was Luca only made that smile widen; after all the craziness of the past several months, seeing a familiar face was pure pleasure. And that it was Luca...

"Indeed, Luca-Chica; and you're looking as charming as ever. I had no idea that you were such a devoted athlete, though; to be out running at this hour shows marked dedication."

Then again, he wasn't exactrly surprised. She'd always been a most charming mare physically, so it made sense that she took care of that form. Obviously one learned a lot by being awake early!

He too made no mention of their last parting either, too pleased at the meeting of the present to worry about the past. Besides, he'd had no issues last time beyond concern for Luca; that she was talking to him now could only be positive. Besides, so much time had passed...

"I trust life has been treating you well?" As he spoke, he trotted up the embankment towards the mare, utterly ignoring the mare's (relatively)bedraggled state. After all, sweat was healthy, right?

She tossed her head, managing for once to get her forelock out of her eyes. She watched her old lover sashay towards her and pondered how she felt about this. Oh, he was easily the most enjoyable partner she'd ever had, but things definitely were more complicated than that now.

After all, he had foals, possibly grown by now, that she'd never met. And that crazy kalona mare had her claws in him. She hadn't a clue if he was still with her or not, so she chose to tread carefully. No sense in making any assumptions, after all.

"I'm doing well, thank you kindly." Her warm curve of a smile and lowered lashes bespoke of no loss of her charm. "And how are you and your progeny doing? Are they all grown now?" Her gaze was strictly polite... almost forbiddingly so, a sort of shield against any immediate advances he might make. She wasn't adverse to the idea, but as always, life had complicated what once had been a blissfully sweet and simple affair.

She tipped her head to the side, indicating the trail she'd been following, and began to walk, her stride swinging and brisk, but not without her natural sway of hips and sensual swish of the tail, which she wasn't even aware she did. It simply was in her to be attractive, not always something she put on to appeal intentionally.

Unlike one of the last times they'd met, Guilian was in no way gripped by any sense of urgency. Instead, he was completely in control of both his senses and his nerves, able to be himself without being TOO MUCH himself. Consequently, as Luca started off down the trail he merely moved into step beside her, his smile belying no ulterior motives.

Well, for now at least.

At her question, he had to chuckle; there was nothing like a little context to remind one how much time had passed between meetings. Had his children even been BORN the last time he and Luca had met? He couldn't remember...

Oh well, that wasn't important. Smiling in the proud fashion he always unconsciously adopted when speaking of his children, he gave Luca's query an assenting nod. "Yes, all three are grown and making their own way in the world now. In fact, you might be surprised were you to see me with either of my sons; both of them are taller than me now, and they both pull off their height well. I'm sure they're doing well, as am I. And how have YOU been, Chica?"

Considering the last time they'd talked she'd been so distraught...this was a positive.
PostPosted: Fri May 18, 2007 7:32 pm

It amused her to hear him speak of his sons, for some reason, and her smile quirked her lips as they walked side by side. Had it really been so very long? She nickered a soft laugh at the mention of how tall they were, and then grew thoughtful when asked about herself.

How WAS she? "I am doing well for myself," she answered truthfully. "I have chosen to control my own life, and that seems to be working better for me than waiting for my doom to descend." She cast him an amused look, referring to her frantic mindset last time they spoke.

The cool morning air ruffled her mane, rippling it like a bizarre flame of cool colors. She eyed him sideways, thoughtful about how he had aged so far. he was still just as attractive as before, to be sure. "It seems you have kept yourself up as well, honey." The smirk she gave him echoed her come-hither attidude she'd lavished on him previously. "How are you occupying your days now," she inquired innocently. "Or would that be telling?" Her tail flicked in a silent laugh, lightly lashing his nearby hindquarter.

Even after he'd finished speaking, the proud smile had lingered on Guilian's face for a few moments longer before being displaced by a look of amusement at Luca's airy dismissal of her earlier issues. "I must say, hearing you speak of life with a smile again is something positive, Chica; important as concerns of the future might be, they can also become too overburdening if not handled with the right...delicacy."

For example, they could consume one's entire life and take all joy from the present for the sake of future worry. Not at ALL a pleasant concept, not in the slightest. Why by miserable now so you can remain miserable in the future?

However, serious topics were not necessarily Guilian's favorite, meaning that Luca's conversation shift was more than welcome, especially as it was accompanied by even more traces of the Luca he did so very much adore. Returning her smirk with the barest of winks, Guilian ran the tip of one wing up through his mane in a lofty gesture of thoughtfulness, looking for all the world as if the question was a complicated one. Although in honesty, in some ways it was.

"Well, not too much by way of excitement, Chica; I've been keeping up with my usual pursuits, as you might imagine..." Here, his eyes danced mischieviously for a moment, unable to resist the chance to tease. "I've also spent a great deal of time with my three children, as you might imagine; while they were small, I tried my hardest to be an involved father, something that I think I managed pretty well, under the circumstances. Perhaps most challenging of all, I survived Izusa-Chica, who you might recall meeting."

Here his face became rueful, and he absently rubbed at the slightly scarred area at the side of his neck where Izusa's teeth had been in the habit of biting when she was annoyed...which was often. Thus, his absence. "I did what I could for the sake of my children, but Izusa asks too much and even became dangerous; thus, when the children were old enough to manage themselves, I left. Permanently."

Permanancy, for Guilian, was a strange concept. He never truly turned his back on any of his mares...but then, he'd never encountered a mare like Izusa before. She was passionate in love, but even more passionate in anger...and he just couldn't deal with that. However, that was not exactly what Luca had asked, had she?

Grinning at the purple mare, he gave her an amused shake of the head. "And now I'm rambling; needless to say, there has been a lot going on in my life since our last meeting, but in spite of it all, I think that I've managed to stay sane enough. And now, since I've been informative, it seems only fitting that you do the same, no?"

Feeling the gentle touch of her tail, he naturally responded by draping one wing over her, holding her near him in the way he was so fond of. "It might be time that's blurring my memory, but you seem a little different to me, Chica...and when did you start JOGGING?" Here he gave her a querying grin, gently moving aside her sweaty forelock so that he could see both of her eyes. "I always pegged you as a late riser, personally..."

She quietly reveled in his touch on her face as he fussed with her forelock. Her relpy was quite serious, though. "Oh, I usually was, when nothing troubled me but each day's pleasure." She blew noisily, audible comment on her inner thoughts. "But I have learned toat to avoid undesirable futures, i must do something about them right now. So I am taking careful care of my best assets."

Here she flung another of her old looks at him, one through her lowered lashes that promised pleasantness to come, if he so chose. It gave her a thrill to have him so close to her again, pacing beside her gamely and casting those suggestive looks at her. Ah, stallions could be such fun!

"By taking care of my best features, I can assure myself of my continuing amusements, you see." Her voice dropped low and smooth, a whicker rumbling somewhere deep in her chest. Her lashes fluttered and simotaneously she side-stepped an uneven hole in the trail, conveniently bringing her into close contact with the red stallion. A gust of her hot breath warmed his cheek as her hip and shoulder pressed into him briefly. Then she coyly drew herself away again, now that the pothole was past.

"Ah, so there is method to this madness? And here I thought that I knew you so well..." Smiling sensually, Guilian allowed his wingtip to run across her forehead and down across her cheek before trailing it across her lips and finally pulling it away. That was one of the things he'd always loved about Luca; there was so much to her, so many layers of personality and interest she had!

To say nothing of extreme sex appeal, possibly moreso than any other mare he'd ever encoutnered. The sultry look she turned on him was nothing new and didn't necessarily reduce him to putty (as he had no doubt it did to MOST stallions), but the fact he knew what it meant did more for him than anything else. Taking it in tandem with the slight press of her body against his side...

Yeah, he wasn't going to regret this meeting. As though he honestly could ever be anything but thrilled to see her! Still, he wasn't going to let her have all the fun. She knew him and his tricks just as he knew hers, true...but that didn't mean he couldn't play around a little as well.

Flexing his wings so that they arched neat up and over the two Soquili, Guilian strode forward suddenly, then pivoted about so that he was walking backwards and facing Luca, wings still up. "So, you're telling me that this program of yours is your way of thinking of more than pleasure...so that you can enjoy pleasure more? Such a curious concept, Luca-Chica. Perhaps it would help me understand better if you provided a bit more detail."

Giving her a wink, he then turned again to that he was now alongside her on the right, rather than the left, his tail briefly grazing her hip and tangling for a few moments with hers as he got back in step. Glancing at her innocently, he was almost able to surpress the sparkle in his eyes as he innocently queried, "after all, details always make it easier to understand."

She let herself enjoy his attention and his affectionate touches. Something about her realization about her possible future made such things sweeter, and her determination to enjoy them much stronger. Even so, despite this, she actually was also slower to proceed with the pleasure than she had been previously. There was more to life than that kind of intimacy, after all.

But she wasn't really inthe mood to explain this serious subject to the flirtatious stallion. She slowed her step and angled off the trail, her ears flicking towards him with a dull gleam from her pweter ear studs. With a tilt of her head, she invited the red cardinal soquili to join her for a bit of the lucious forest glade grass. It gleamed in the morning light, a liberal dusting of dew catching and throwing back the luminesence.

Her fetlocks gathered the moisture from the foliage as she stepped through the lush abundance, her tail arched high enough that the tips didn't brush the dampness. She snapped up a mouthful, finishing her bite before the chose to answer him. "And why would such a handsome stallion wish to know the ins and outs of a mare's exercise routine, hmm?" She smiled tolerantly at him. "It's akin to asking a mare her age, and you of all soquili should know the danger of such an inquiry!" THe twitch at the corner of her mouth indicated whom exactly she figured would have taught this free-spirited stallion such a lesson. Who else but the insufferable Izusa?

Following after Luca, Guilian was much less considerate of the brush, almost deliberately drawing the dew onto his bright coat so that it gleamed even brighter against the bright green of the glade.

Said glade was a charming place, though, and he couldn't help but give it an appreciative look about as he strolled out onto the grass. The surrounding brush meant that it was secluded, even though the path was a mere few strides away; the trees closed in enough so that it was concealed from those that might be flying above, and the grass was soft and springy underfoot, the sort that one could cheerfully sleep on. It was a beautiful location, and only served to emphasis the natural vibrancy of Luca.

Not that she needed emphasis. Leaning comfortably against one of the surrounding trees, Guilian unabashedly watched Luca as she both grazed and teased, content to merely watch. After all, there weren't many mares out there with Luca's gift for the sensual; everything she did was as effective as a deliberate move! Or maybe it WAS deliberate...

Her question made him smile, though. "I'm only curious, Chica; is that so wrong? Though you wound me with the suggestion that I would even care about a mare's age; as long as she is grown, she is the right age for me. You, however...even more than most." As though age mattered anyway; he didn't know how old he himself was, so why WOULD he care about her age? "However, if you wish to remain secretive, I think I can handle that."
PostPosted: Tue May 29, 2007 7:31 pm

Luca continued to graze in a slow and deliberate manner, tail swinging gently behind her and forelock falling fetchingly across her face... until she suddenly stopped and drew up her head. She froze in place, eyes defocused, and the skin along her neck and shoulders began to twitch. She shuddered her hide several times like that, before finally giving an irritated squeal and curving her neck, teeth bared, to try at get to the itch that was tormenting her beneath her pewter necklace.

Another squeal and a furious swish of her tail was accompanied by a resounding thud of a hoof striking the ground in fury. Ears pinned, she again bent her neck to try and reach the infernal itch that was caused by sweat collecting and drying beneath her twisting chain.

It was with a final squeal that she flung a pleading look to Guilian. "Love, would you mind coming to nibble along my neck for me?" Though her plea was quite sincere with its need, it did not prevent her eyes from sparkling at the request. "This itch is like to drive me out of my mind. It is one drawback of doing all this exercise. I can't reach the spot that itches the most!" Another hoof stomp and an exasperated and pitiful snort emphasised her duress.

...Wow. As Luca writhed and squealed, Guilian could only stare, honestly confused as to what had just happened. After all, in his experience even the most schizo of mares usually had SOME sort of rhyme or reason to their actions, but this! This made absolutely no sense.

Well, not until Luca's request put everything in context. Of course, an itch! The obnoxious reality of THE itch, the one itch that couldn't be reached no matter how hard you tried.

That, of course, made him wonder just how odd HE looked when HE had an itch.

Chuckling off that thought, he merely swept Luca a nod of agreement, then strolled over to the purple mare. "My pleasure, Luca-Chica; after all, I know very much how bothersome those itches can be. Tis most fortunate for you that I am here to help you out, wouldn't you say?" Though the words were innocent, they were about as full of innuendo as one short statement could be; then again, with Guilian it was doubtful that anything he ever said LACKED innuendo. It was just his nature, and she...well, she provoked that nature in spades.

As he stepped up beside her, Guilian had given Luca the barest of winks before gently lowering his head to her shoulder blades. "Just let me know if this feels right, Chica." Then with that and a gentle whuff of breath, he began to nibble along the offended region.
