yo, whats up guys, this is my spyder E99 avant.
when i got it it was a pretty ok gun but ive been putting money into it to make it much better. i just ordered a bunch of upgrades including a new drop foward, trigger, springs, and frontblock. i have been wanting to get a new decent barrel but have no idea what to even look up. any suggestions on a new barrel or anything else?

[edit] oh yeah this is already an upgraded barrel. all i know about it is that is it a 12". it was on it when i bought it.

Well first what is your price range for a barrel? If you don't really have a spending limit I would go with some type of barrel kit. A barrel kit will help you maximize your effiecency, accuracy, and decrease the amount of barrel breaks you get.

Might I suggest the Smart Parts Freak Kit possibly. Though there are more barrel kits out there the Freak Kit is the one I'm most common with being an owner of one.

You should get some good performance from any of the big companies. What your most likely gonna wanna look for is bore size. Most people I know over-bore if they have a single barrel they use. I always over-bore on all my semi markers becuase there isn't much need to match paint to bore.

I know .692 was a common over-bore size afew years ago but from what I've heard lately paint has been getting smaller in sizes so I'm not sure what a common one is now.

wow i had no idea it all had do do with the bore size. i thought it was all like how long it is and the way it is rifled. oh yeah thanks for adding me to the guild.

You can have a the length and fancy rifeling you want but it doesn't matter if your shots aren't consistant. Which this is where bore size comes in to all of this.

As you know Paintballs are propelled by air down the barrel. Getting the correct bore size will limit the amount of air which passes by the ball in the barrel when shot. You want to get as much as air behind that ball as possibly if your looking to make consistant shots. Consistant shots will help with a markers accuracy and thus allowing you to hit your desired targets more often.

Also consistancy will help with effiecency of a marker sense it'll take less air to make the ball go a certain distance becuase the air is staying behind the ball as much as possible.

Its all got to do with Physics which I find to be quite fun. Been waiting to take it in high school but for some reason the school won't put me in it. Gonna bug them to see if they gonna put me in it this next school year coming up.

... I'm not sure but, isn't E-99 another Spyder?(Anyone?) and just buy and ion. IMO, Spyders are just lowend guns to practicve slides/dives.
