I was just wondering if anyone knows/thinks that glasses could affect people seeing this (paranormal things that is).

I wouldn't have thought so. I doubt eyesight has anything to do with being able to see spirits or other paranormal things.
Quite a few psychic I've heard of have been blind so I don't think it matters.

I wear a pair myself and I can see most things clearly. However a Friend of mine(Wiccan) Did something to them to help me with a problem I had. Now they help block some of the things I could see. taking them off allows me to see them again.

I could understand a connection between sufferers of myopia (severe nearsightedness) and preternatural sight only because of the research that has been done regarding myopic patients (speaking here specifically of those who are genetically predisposed to developing myopia or being myopic) and the high rate of those patients being highly intellectual (note that I do not say highly educated). Perhaps it is for some not a genetic problem, but a potential function of preternatural ocular sight. This is an outrageous theory... but still.

i guess they could................. im not sure at all confused i mean we are talking about seeing spirits and not just feeling them. cause they do have glasses that filter out uz rays and coating on lenses to get rid of glares. with all the chemicals you can put on them perhase it can interfere with whatever frequency a spirit is on?

Good point Shanna. at this point I'll use a movie refrence to support such happenings. Hollwood horror movie " Pulse" had the idea that ghost through electronics could take over the world and cause some sort of apocolypse because they emitted themselves on some frequencey. However red Tape somehow blockled out some spectrum needed for such action.

I doubt needing glasses hampers your ability to see spirits. I need mine from when I wake up until when I go to bed (that bad) and I have seen a ghost/spirit once. Not a full view of her but I know what I saw.

If anything, I'd guess that having impaired eyesight helps you see spirits. There are quite a few legendary seers that are either completely blind, can take out their eyes (lovely image, Greek mythology), or have something else wrong with their vision.
Just a thought. Maybe I'm silly for drawing upon ancient legends...
Then there's the theory that, if one sense is impaired, the others become sharper. I wouldn't be surprised if any sort of "sixth sense" applied to that.

I'm severely myopic (I can literally feel the severe bump of my cornea when I run my finger over my closed eyelid). The eye doctor told me that in several years, I could go blind, because my eyesight is deteriorating, and I'm already nearly blind. Thanks to modern science I don't have to wear glasses that are as thick as a bottle, but they're nearly there despite the fact.
I have no troubles seeing spirits, ghosts, visions, and entities. Sometimes it is more frequent when my glasses are off, though. I think I'm going to go research the effects of glasses on seeing spirits and such and if it depends on what material the glasses are made of and the type of coating used...I'll come back if I find something interesting.

you know in light of this thread I would like to point out, though I have no evidence to prove this, that severe loss of eyesight, mainly the blind, are usually stereotyped as being more perceptive to the paranormal. Usually the blind are depicted as Precogitives, or just have higher awareness.
