I auditioned for show choir for my school for this next year and they put me in the same choir i am already in. the intermediate womens. I REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted to be in an advanced choir and many people were convinced that i was gonna move up. I am really dissapointed right now......

What you should do is ask them what you could improve on for next year (I find they are impressed by that o.O)

Megumi_is_me I'm sorry ): Lol our school doesn't even have an intermediate women's choir What you should do is ask them what you could improve on for next year (I find they are impressed by that o.O) i actually did that yesterday, the just said i sang in and out of pitch. ( i know that was because i was nervious for some reason) and they said i had improved a lot in the past year. so yea.... maybe next year... It just bugs me that people i know for a fact cant sing or dance moved up into higher choirs. One person cant even go from note a to note b without craking. thats just wrong. it's all politics.

We have this girl in the honors choir and I swear she's like one of the worst singers I've ever heard

Megumi_is_me Waaa I know We have this girl in the honors choir and I swear she's like one of the worst singers I've ever heard But because she's famous...... stare yea, we get that too. most all the people who have been on tv or look like actors/actresses are in the upper choirs. however where I live, more than half have been on tv or a movie or something. even I have been compared to an actress, but i guess i'm too quiet to be noticed. stare

Bummer. Maybe you weren't quite as great as you thought? That's happened to a lot of people I know. (Like the time I didn't make nationals. I still think that would have been SO cool.) Just work at it. Maybe some other time. You can't win 'em all.

yea, that's true i guess. but it just pisses me off to know that a bunch of people in the choirs told me i was gonna move up AND so did our choreographer. he said to my parents that i was "definately gonna move up with my dancing skills alone." apparently he was wrong. everyone told me i was gonna definatly move up so they ended up making my hopes too high and i didnt make it and just stayed where i was. sad ohh well.

animekiti4christ yea, that's true i guess. but it just pisses me off to know that a bunch of people in the choirs told me i was gonna move up AND so did our choreographer. he said to my parents that i was "definately gonna move up with my dancing skills alone." apparently he was wrong. everyone told me i was gonna definatly move up so they ended up making my hopes too high and i didnt make it and just stayed where i was. sad ohh well. I tried and got shot down too gonk Well there's always next year, right? Another reason why people don't get chosen is because of senority

yes, there is always next year.
it's not always seniority it's just who they like more. they put an incoming freshman into the top choir while they left me (a soon to be sophmore) in the lowest choir. and she cant even sing or dance that well because i have seen her perform before and she is not that good. she's ok, but i dont think she will be able to survive in the top choir yet.

Hey, you go to JBHS? I totally saw you at Hart! awesome....
My choir ended up losing that comp because we don't have costume changes..and also possibly because we had no boxes this year because our director doesn't like to take them on planes because one broke the one time they did. yeah... Last year, a bunch of people asked me to try out for Chamber Singers, but I didn't want to ('cause Chambers can't dance)

What choir were you in???? i probably saw you, haha. =] Decibelles did really bad at Hart compared to what we usually do, (4th) but we made up for it at Socal. i think it was because i heads werent all there. heheh.
