A little thing I wrote for my girlfriend a while back. I figured I liked it enough that I could tolerate posting it.

A summer day's mist
A phantom allured
To this dark place
Where forever's assured
A laugh echoes on
Through the summer day's mist
And twists into thoughts of
Bitter-sweet bliss
I once believed I'd live
In these mist shrouded days
Yet like every mortal
The beauty shyed me away
So in mist captivated
My mind remembers on
Of laughter in the sky
Your eternal song
