I love green tea. So much. I really hate the Westernized bastardizations of the drink, like what Arizona does, and Sobe. Green tea is not supposed to be ubersweet. It's not supposed to be sweet at all. I love it pure, and am always very happy whenever I can find bottles from Japan.

O_o, I drink Arizona tea. Unfortunately, I haven't had the time to learn how to make proper green tea yet sweatdrop . But I totally agree with you upon the fact that Arizona and SoBe makes them too sweet. But you have to consider that In Arizona Green Tea, they also add Ginseng extract and Honey.

It's not supposed to be sweet at all. I love it pure, and am always very happy whenever I can find bottles from Japan. I know the feeling! I tried some Arizona brand 'green tea' and it was horrible. Also, at Panera Bread, they have, or at least had, a green tea with passionfruit and come other citrus fruit flavor in it. There are so many imposters out there... My husband has lots of green tea leaves from when he was in Japan and we brew it ourselves...soooo good. I never really liked black tea at all...
