This topic came up at my board:

Does it actually exist in the original version?

BEGA surely does, it comes up in Japanese web searches, but I've never actually seen proof of Biovolt's existence in the original.

"Beyblade Entertainment Global Association" does not sound English, but: "Beybladers Intent On Victory Over Lawless Tyranny" does.

So does anyone have information as to whether it does/doesn't exist?
What are your personal opinions on this?
What would it be instead?

Hmm...

Neo Borg was always just a Beyblading team, however it also had extra things to aid its further domination (the abbey). The dub split this into two entities - Biovolt, the guys in the background controlling the whole deal, and the Demolition Boys, the team that is entered into the World Tournament.

I dunno. Sound right to you?

Makes sense.

There's just no proof of the actual Biovolt corporation itself.

Boris's intent to take over the world in the dub may have only been an intent to win the championships again using his successful abbey training methods in the original.

Voltaire's part would have been to see Kai as a success, much like in the manga but Beyblade-oriented instead of business-oriented.

It just seems a bit far-fetched to think 'the abbey is filled with high-tech security, so that must suggest a plan for world domination like Boris said.'

His exile in G-Revolution may have just been his search for the will to start up another team after he ditched the abbey and its trainees due to failure.

It is very well possible that there wasn't one in the magna but in the first season they may have added it specially to try and tie loose ends together. Such as who runs the abbey, why are they training with that intensity, and how do the Demolition Boys fit into all of it?

There was no abbey in the manga.

There was of course the Abbey in the original series one, what I mean is the actual organisation name, Biovolt. It may have just been called 'Balkov's training facility' or something.

Wait...

Yuriy has a 'B' logo on his season 1 outfit. It's even on the manga. Erm... though that could stand for a multitude of things. Neo Borg?

Nevermind, I thought I had something there. xD

oh sorry didn't know that there was no Abbey in the magna. But like I said earlier Biovolt, and now the Abbey, may have been put in to tie up some loose ends. It's that or they were just added for the heck of it.
