Welcome prospective applicant, I'm Ruination_Star and I'm here today to help you fill out your application. We seem to have a great deal of trouble with them lately and maybe this will help clear up what few questions you might have about it.
This is the Application that we'd like you to fill out and what we're basically asking you to provide to us.
Character Name: (Your character's first and last name please.)
Alias: (What your character is called to protect his/her identity on missions try and be creative on this we don't need 4 pyro's do we? No we don't.)
Ability: (Please browse the The Character List to make sure your mutant ability has not been taken. If it has already been taken, then you will have to come up with something different. No super-powerful characters or canon rip-offs are allowed.)
Side: (X-Men, Brotherhood, or Loner)
RP Sample: (REQUIRED!! Must be in the traditional RP format: 3rd person perspective, past tense narrative. No symbols for actions allowed.)
It's not much but it's very important that you fill it out the right way.
This is an example of what we do not want in the guild and yes this is an actual application that was submitted the names have been changed to protect the stupid.

This is not what we're looking for in an RP'er and has been rejected.
The following was wrong with this APP.
Her power is absurd. It looks liks she was shooting for something but what she was aiming for is beyond me.
His RP sample is pathetic. It should be at least one paragraph that tells us a little about how this person should be using their powers. It doesn't nessissarily have to be in combat but just a little something that would help us look upon your application in a favorable manner.
She appears to have a very tenusous grasp on propper grammer.

Character Name: Xander Wolfram
Alias: Cadaver
Ability: Cadaver has a form of biokinesis. He has the ability to alter the shape of any organic structure he is in contact with including himself. This allows him the ability to take the flesh and bone of other creatures, or himself and mold it into his desired form. This ability also allows Cadaver to have a somewhat heightened healing factor, however, Cadaver unlike Wolverine must consciously active his mutant ability in order to heal himself. Cadaver can easily mend small wounds in second, but larger wounds require either a source of biomatter to aid, or a much longer period of time to fully heal. Cadaver is also able to a small degree heal minor wounds on other people, although he must be careful due to the possibility of integrating too much biomatter of the opposing person physically into himself.

Sample RP: Xander remained grounded to his spot, his eyes clenched as he concentrated, seemingly bracing himself for the impact as the enemy approached. His arms held crose against one another as they gave a bit of distance away from his chest. The cold snow gently drifted through the air, wafting in the breeze as it landed on Xander's shoulder melting instantly. Xander's hazel eyes snapped open as his target approached, making a smal leap into the air. Xander felt his shirt ripping apart as the mutant came down on him. Although it was not by the enemies means that the shirt ripped. Rather as the gecko fell on Xander, Xander's own bone seemed to rip out of his skin, peircing through his flesh, shirt, and his opponents flesh in a quick series of rips. Bone from his two shoulders, arms, and chest spured upward like curved spikes as they impaled the completely unguarded mutant. miraculously evading all of his vital organs.

This is very well written and has a good chance of getting the writer of it accepted into the guild as a member. He took an over used ability and modified it to act in a different fashion.
The best advice for this is to be creative as possible and be as descriptive as possible Please don't hesitate to create a profile longer than the limit of what you can input into the join request. Feel free to PM the application to us if it's to big to fit in there. We'd be more than happy to post it for concideration and then send an invite if it is deemed acceptable.
