Because they have Brad, Chester, Joe, Mike, Phoenix, and Rob. that's why. Like seriously, think about it. Brad does things with his guitar to make the music simple, but still sound kickass in a way that no one could perfectly duplicate. He says more with less. Chester, frick, he's the best vocalist there is out there! Joe's is an awesome DJ, and they're original with that... the fact that they have a DJ in their band. That's not very common at all. Mike's an awesome multi-talented Emcee that dosent rap about money and drugs and sluts, that's original. Phoenix is also very talented on the bass, and plays classical instruments as well such as the violin and cello found on the Reanimation CD. And Rob's a very skilled drummer. The members are what makes them different, the fact that they've been able to mix so many genres of music.... hardly anyone truly appreciates what Linkin Park has done to music. They've created something totally new. They're legends, even if alot of people dont like them and they're not recognised as such.

Well "Hybrid Theory" was a great name for the first album, Rock/Rap/Electronica makes a kickass combo that the world has never seen, and I don't think music can get any better than Linkin Park... the Lyrics are also just... well it's easy to relate to, for pretty much any age, the sound... phoenomenal (sp?), and the look... heheh... amazing as well... they are the Revolution of Music!

O.o some of you dont get out alot. Only rap/rock band? Only deep lyrics? -.-;;; LP's pretty much all I listen to and I know alot of bands that have deep lyrics and there's plenty hip-hop and/or rap & rock bands out there.

The thing that ive noticed that makes LP different is that its a mix. It has some songs rap and some songs just headbanger/metal.

Also, they aint just another one night stand band. xp (Dont know why I call it that.) They bring sometihng original to music unlike all the other bands. Plus, like Mel says, they have a D.J. No other band that Ive seen besides Sugar Ray, The X-cutioners, and Lost Prophets have a D.J. xp

well ya i agree that it's the people who make the band what it is, all of them make it so much more unique and great! Maybe the fact that they went through 2 name changes makes them that much more special... Linkin Park just means something to me, important and powerful heheh... *rants*

Don't forget, they started a new Genre of music....and They mixed their songs with a famous Rappist who was retiring. and lets not forget the tour they started. Projekt Revolution. A Tour for metal, rap, and rock bands. It's like OzzFest, Warped tour, and any rap tour put together.
