I was doing my daily routine of checkin' my email. When I came across something that said: "From L" So I was like "Wtf?..." So I opened it and my eyes met this.

DATE: Thursday, May 10, 2007

FROM: L
Lead Investigator
Special Investigation Headquarters for
Criminal Victim Mass Murder Case

TO: Citizens of the United States

RE: SEARCH FOR KIRA

Our original investigation into the perpetrator behind the recent murder of criminals has been focused on the Kanto region of Japan. While we were able to concentrate our efforts there due to localized television broadcasts, we have reason to believe that Kira is now located in the United States.

We have ascertained that Kira needs both a person's name and face in order to carry out his crimes. Because of this, he has been able to protect his own, making our efforts to identify him difficult.

We must advance our efforts to reveal his identity before the number of victims increases and before the innocent citizens of the United States are counted among the fatalities. In order to do this, we are asking for your assistance.

The newest clue is simple, but we believe, will be critical in closing this investigation. Kira's actions are well-planned and thought out, so we must assume that he left this clue because he is either taunting us or wants to be caught.

Please review the clue carefully and remember that a good detective will not study a clue once, but revisit it repeatedly to get a new perspective until the case is officially closed and the criminal brought to justice.

Did anyone else recieve something of this nature? I mean I wasn't scared. I felt a rush of exictment. I felt over joied. Yes, I am a Kira supporter.

wow. so cool. If I found out where Kira-kun was, I would definately hide his whereabouts. Kira is Justice.

But truthfully...what are the chances? In L's ism...probably only about 1.5%...unfortunately...it'd be a lot cheaper than the death penalty though, thats for sure.

No, unfortunately I did not recieve that. 'Sides, even if it were real, which it isn't, because L would be way more subtle about contacting a person about the Kira case, this isn't really from him (It would be from Watari if anything). 'Tis unfortunate I not recieved this too but from the looks of it, it's a hoax. I would definitely bring Kira to justice though.

why would you do that? Kira IS justice. There could, in fact, be a Kira without an L though...its entirely plausible

You should look for my post on the "Would you support Kira?" board. It explains why Kira is NOT justice. You only state he is because you probably haven't thought through the issue very well.

I have. The ideals that Kira [not necessarily Light] hold ARE just. Light, however, aloud his pride to interfere, and began to kill innocents.

Exactly. I take it back, you HAVE thought this through. Still, read my post, I find it enLIGHTening (Oh my God, what a terrible pun. Lmao).
