Tezi took her time getting off the boat. She had to tie it up on the dock herself, which she wasn't quite ready to do. Not wanting to pay a toll on the bridge, she had decided to take her father's boat over to the mainland to go shopping. In hand she carried a faux leather purse. The deck's manager, who was holding the rope to keep the boat from floating away, eyed her. Sighing, she took the rope from him. He quickly left her. Setting down her purse, she did her best to tie up the boat. "That should stay," she said to herself, rather proudly.
After she had looked over her handy-work, Tezi picked up the purse again. Turning around, she headed to the city. She took one last glance at the boat to make sure it hadn't started slipping away. It only a five minute walk to the store she was headed. Actually, it was right next door to Imperium. She looked at the bracelet she had taken to wearing around her wrist. Age may have dulled the golden serpet, but to her it glowed. She liked the feeling of warmth from it. Not wanting to waist anymore time, Tezi started to walk in-land.
At a brisk pace Tezi made it to the store with a minute to spare. It was 9:59 AM and the store ALWAYS opened exactly at 10:00 AM. While waiting, she decided to stand in front of Imperium. She wasn't sure why. Maybe it was the anticipation of her coming child (while trying to make herself not sound pregnant!). Or maybe it was just the fact that the place had a certain mysterious-ness about it. Something she just had to know about it. Breaking out of a daze, the blonde woman noticed another being plagued by Imperium.
Somebody else with a Substantia.
"Aye!" Tezi called to this new person, hoping they would notice.

"But-but-but that was SO fun!"
"Shut up."
"Let's do it again!"
"Shut up."
"PLEASE Mister! Please!"
The little pair (substantia included) walking briskly down the street hardly seemed as quaint and lovely as the father daughter combo they were meant to be. The man (speaking loosely) was picking at his shirt with a horrid grimace on his face. Shirts, the stupid things, he hated them and it was all the little brats fault.
Said brat in question, a pretty little green haired girl, was gripping the large werewolf's hand and staring up at him with shimmering little eyes full of glee. She had just been on his motorcycle a moment before, and joy of joys, she wanted to go on it again. It was a fantastic thing, truly, and Rome didn't really have anything like that... Well, there were chariots, she supposed, but she never got the chance to ride on those either. Egyptians for you.
Selior was marching down and repeating his 'shut up' command over and over when he came to an abrupt halt. Had she been talking to him? Aye, of all things?
"What?" Selior asked, pointing at himself and eyeing the strange woman suspiciously. "Were you talking to me, little girl?"
"She ain' a little girl." Felicis calmly observed, clinging to Seilor's leg with her free hand. "I'm a little girl. She's not a little girl."
"Shut up." Selior repeated, for (hopefully) the last time.

[[ 'Jus thought I should add this, none of the Substantia really remember much of anything until their later stages XD They don't really even know what Rome is until somebody tells them, and then they start remembering ]]
Tezi chuckled. Little girl my a**, I wish!, she thought, not daring to actually utter a swear in front of an actual 'little girl'. She looked over the man and the girl quickly. She already knew that the girl was a Substantia, the green skin kind of gave it away (not to mention the fact that they were headed for Imperium) "First off, I am talking to you," she was being blunt, "Second of all, I'm no little girl, if you haven't noticed." She looked down at her body and back up. This was a joke, but she loved to pull it. Surfing and gymnastics had nicely toned her, but she was still slender.
Back to the pair. Tezi felt there was something odd about the man, something not quite uncomfertable, but not quite right. The little girl had called him 'mister', which meant he probably didn't know that this girl would cling to him until she was old enough to move out. He was probably headed to HQ for a briefing session anyways. "Goin' to Imperium?" she inquired. Being a major financial support for Imperium, Tezi knew HQ inside and out. Well... Not quite. There were still some things she was unsure of, but she decided not to ask.
"Scratch that. Obviously you're going to Imperium," Tezi answered rhetorically. Maybe this wasn't such at good idea, the store had just opened. She looked at her watch. 10:01 AM. She sighed. Well, it was better to meet other Substantia and their guardians now. She didn't want Pomponeia to be all alone. "What is her name?" she asked, "And, as a matter of fact, your's?"
Perhaps she wasn't beating around the bush enough? Actually... Tezi hated that. She'd rather get right to the point.

(( IT WAS ALL METAPHORICAL Dx~ *bricked* ))
Selior snorted, quick to reply with, "Trust me hunny, to me, you are a little girl."
"So what does that make me?" Felicis asked, just as quickly.
"Shut it." Oh, that was a change of pace. Switching his attentions back to the woman he crossed his arms suspiciously. "Yeah? What about it? Did you have something to do with sending this little thief to my mansion? Cause if you did.." He took a step toward her, only to find as he attempted to make his right leg move there was an unexpected weight attached to it. Wow, the little brat had a good grip. He took three steps, struggling with each like some skit in a miniature comedy before giving up entirely. With a slight snarl followed by a very defeated sigh he shook his head. "'Cause I'd like to know if you do refunds."
Felicis, meanwhile, let go of him after staring at this Tezi for a few moments. Dusting herself off she smiled once at her guardian and then walked toward Tezi boldly. "'Yo." Which was, clearly, something she picked off him.
It took him a few moments to remember to respond to her last question, but eventually he did. "I'm Selior... Her name? What, am I supposed to name it? She hasen' told me anything, if that's what your asking."
And that of course gave Felicis a very thoughtful expression. Her name? Oh, what a tricky question.

Tezi laughed again. "Yeah, some little girl with a fourteen year old son," she mumbled, just loud enough so Selior would hear it, "And what does that make you? A baby?" She sported a quirky expression, which quickly changed when it got back to the subject of Imperium. Tezi had a Silly Switch, or that's what Nathan called it. One thing would set it off and her immaturity would go into overdrive. Another thing to turn it off would turn her back into a collected adult.
She listened to what Selior had to say, and before responding she introduced herself. "I'm Tezi. Well, actually, I'm Marie, but I never go by my first name," she informed him, "My full name is Marie Tezique Veison, but I suppose it doesn't matter." Tezi watched him attempt to advance with the little girl clinging to his leg. "You better get used to this," she chuckled, "She's not much of a theif if you invited her in. And no, I didn't send her, Gina probably did, but this little girl here had picked you from the bunch hundreds of years ago." Tezi noticed how he used the word mansion. "You're just going to Imperium because a doctor wants to check up on her. Trust me, who knows what's going on with the Substantia?"
"Another word of advice," Tezi started, "You better name her. Gina is going to ask for a name. And no, no refunds."

Selior shook his head unapprovingly at the woman. "Well then, women who have kids are supposed to stay home and cook or something, 'aye?' Why are you out here? If you ask me, this entire things suspicious. Picked me out? Please, I ain't ever seen this girl before, that's for sure." Selior crossed his arms matter-of-factly and stared at her unamused. It was too much for him, really.. so his simple solution to avoid breaking down entirely was to ignore and deny everything. This approach worked well when exgirlfriends approached you with unplanned pregnancies, too.
"So what are you going to name me?" Felicis asked suddenly, turning back tword Selior.
"I'm not naming you." He replied, loosing all illusion of adulthood and authority he had maintained thus far.
"Yes you are!" She retorted.
"No I'm not!" He yelled, frowning in a way only a ticked-off werewolf could.
"Yuh huh." She said, crossing her arms.
Selior, quickly deducing using his amazing ability to sense impeding arguments wtih ancient tessarae ressurected into little children, shut up. He was, after all, the mature one of this pair. Trio, if you were going to include Tezi. Which, fourteen year old son? He didn't buy it. "Fine. I'm going to name you It. Pretty, ain't it, It?"
Felicis frowned quickly and glanced at Tezi pittifully. "Miss.." She whined pathetically, going to grip Tezi's hand and stare up at her. "Don't let him name me it! I like.. Felicis!"

Tezi, for about the millionth time, laughed. This guy should be a comedian! "You don't think fourteen year olds are old enough to take care of themselves?" she asked him, taking a step forwards. She looked down at the little girl. "Anyways, like I said, you invited her into your house." Tezi loved droping little clues that nobody ever really got until she pointed something out.
As the two bickered, Tezi fell into thought. She quickly realized that Selior was in denial, which is why he wouldn't name her. He couldn't accept the fact that he was going to have a kid to take care of? He sure looked old enough to understand. Her mind was pulled back to earth when the Substantia whined and reached for her hands. Lowering her hand, she let the girl grip them. "I think Felicis is a pretty name," she said. Tezi knelt down a little to look Felicis in the eye. She winked, "It sounds pretty lucky to me!"

Grinning from ear to ear, Felicis nodded at Tezi and spun around to Selior.
"So, Felicis! That's it then, is it?" Felicis asked, while putting her hands on her hips.
Selior matched the substantia's pose, which looked entirely awkward on the grown man. "I don't care. Why are you acting like I'd care?" He asked grumpily. Before getting a chance to pout much longer he shook his head at Tezi, as if finding something in what she had said rather pathetic, "I don't know. Let's think about this.. when I was fourteen I had already killed a dozen dryads, warlocks and general 'monstrous beings.' And I was usually drunk every night. What do you think?" He asked, smirking triumphantly as though he had won an argument that didn't, in truth, exist.
Felicis turned back to Tezi and shook her head apologetically, "I suppose I'm gonna have to be the grown-up here. But don' worry about me, I can take care of myself.. Sides.." She leaned tword Tezi again, in a very secretive way. "He's got a mansion full of pretty stuff and has a thin' he calls a 'motorcycle.' It goes really fast. I like him." She said, nodding with a smirk of her own.
Selior was glaring again, though if you had been watching closely his glare hadn't really gone away to begin with. "Thief. Honestly. Look at that! She hasen' even hit puberty and she's already a gold digger!"
"So what's your son name, Miss?" Felicis interrupted again, still smiling happily.

Tezi smiled at how excited the girl was when she finally got her name. I suppose after almost two thousand years of being called 'it', it's nice to be recognized, she thought, but Felicis wouldn't remember any of that. Well, maybe except that before her Animus was activated life was rather dull.
The man was standing in an out-right childish pose now, especially for a boy. Tezi chuckled at the pair, mimicking eachother. "Well I think it's cute that you're trying to impress me," she joked, "but only kids like to argue." She stood back up at her full height (which actually wasn't that tall, but wearing high wedge heels gave that impression) and her pin-straight, bleached blonde hair fell into place in front of her shoulders. She looked down at the pink tips. Hmm, I really should get those redone, she wondered about it for a few seconds, then remembered Selior and Felicis.
Hearing Felicis's voice again, Tezi looked down at the girl. Another chuckled escaped her lips. "I suppose he is childish, isn't he?" she replied softly. "Motorcycles are fun, aye. I have one myself, but being on an island, I don't have much use for it." She didn't mention that she had her own mansion... and a boat.
Tezi rolled her eyes, and Selior began to talk again. "Honestly, boy," she said, making direct eye contact, "You need to grow up now that you have a little girl to take care of."
Felicis interrupted. Tezi was glad she hadn't really listened to the mean comments Selior had to say. "My son's name is Nathan. I also have a daughter named Marian, but she's very young," she then looked at her golden serpent bracelet, "And Pomponeia will soon be joining our little family!"

"Oh?" Selior asked, crossing his arms. The tone in his voice suggested he was mocking her, but as his gaze shifted to the green haired substantia he sighed restlessly. "I'm betting they will take her back. If not, not to worry little Flea-cis, the mansion's been needing a maid to clean it anyway." Selior said with an impish grin. His gaze returned to Tezi, and then he flipped his hair in a very modelesque manner. "I'm already good at this, hm?"
Felicis paid her guardian no attention. She was staring at Tezi and eventually the artifact that was a soon-to-be Pomponeia. "I see. I'd like to meet her, when she comes... I bet she'll be pretty." She smiled, a devious little twinkle on the child's face. "We can play games," She began, "Will you be giving her an allowance?" Felicis ended, smiling all too sweetly.
Selior, meanwhile, moved his way closer to the child and woman while examining his little charge disapprovingly. "Do they grow, or whatever? I mean cause like, if she's gonna stay like this forever... all needy and drooly and what not.." He frowned, giving off an air of clear distaste.

Tezi rolled her eyes and brushed a strand of her own pink-tipped hair out of her face. She understood that Selior was joking, but she hoped he wouldn't go too far. Felicis was such a cute girl, too. "You have a long ways to go," Tezi joked, raising a slim eyebrow.
Felicis had come closer to Tezi by then, and was readily inspecting Pomponeia. Curiously, the bracelet's warmth and aura were increasing. Tezi didn't give much notice, considering her attention was taken by the girl and her 'dad'. "Of course she will get an allowence," she chuckled, "Little girls need to buy things, too."
The newly sparked conversation didn't last long, though. An interruptance of the oddest sort was occuring. Tezi was taken aback when the bracelet, or Pomponeia, started pusling. It was glowing like never before, even more so than when it sparkled in direct sunshine. It, now become a she, began to shake and Tezi instinctivly and quickly sliped her wrist out of the bracelet. The object fell to the ground with a clang. Lost for words, she just stared in bewilderment.
A bright spark of light and a dark haired girl was standing (or it was more of a laying, considering what she was) in place of the bracelet. She had a shining serpent tail, the same colour of the bracelet. Her hands also displayed scales of that sort. She had tangled black hair to contrast her golden eyes. Tezi stared for a few seconds longer. "Pomponeia..." she murmured, a slight grin spreading across her face.
Pomponeia blinked and looked around. She was silent. She looked at Felicis, and then at Selior, and finally at Tezi. She then made the decision to slither over the Tezi and stand by her. "Is that my name?" Pomponeia asked, staring up at the green-eyed woman. Tezi nodded, grin widening. She ruffled the girls hair. "That's Felicis," she said, pointing to the other Substantia, "I'm sure you two will come to be great friends." Pomponeia looked at the other girl and nodded, then smiled to desplay her pointed teeth.

Felicis stared in much the same way Selior was, giving one brief and glorious moment to share just why these two had found one another. They looked something between dumbfounded and unamused, as if someone was playing a joke on them and they expected a man to jump out from behind a bush any second and say they were just kidding, and it was all just in their imagination.
But no, the girl with the tail continued to slither around that made it increasingly hard to believe she was a mirage. Felicis was the first to snap out of the stare, and rightly so. She blinked away from Pomponeia only once to look at Tezi, to whom she conjured a sheepish smile. "Of course." She said slowly. She returned a cockeyed glance at Pomponeia with the smile still on her face, before giving a sort of bow slash curtsy. "Yeah, Felicis.. I just got my name too, ya'know. That's Selior, my parent, I guess.." She glanced back at Tezi briefly. "You got lucky." Oh, the irony.
Selior, meanwhile, was putting things together in his head. He guessed, sadly, that she hadn't stolen his dice... that she popped out of them or something much like this little girl had 'popped' out of her serpent armband. "Yeah. So, is my little brat going to sprout a tail too? And if so, is she venomous?" He gave Pomponeia a guarded look and crossed his arms. "Not that I'm worried. I'm impervious to most venom." He said, sticking his tongue out at her.

Pomponeia smiled once more. "Hi Felicis," she nodded, "I'm guessing you're kinda like me?" While the little girl didn't know too much, she did remember the last few minutes before she came out of the bracelet. She also remembered that she had been stuck in there for a very long time. "I think I've been bored for a really long time," she reasoned, "Can we do something?" She looked up at Tezi and pleaded with her. This girl was going to be rather manipulative, huh? "We gotta go see Gina in that office building in a bit, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to go to the park first," Tezi pointed to Imperium. Pomponeia pondered who Gina was, but didn't spend long on it. Selior was the one to distract her.
Pomponeia slithered towards Selior and bared her teeth in a grin. "No, I think it depends what object we were stuck in, and I just happened to be a serpent," she glanced down at her tail, "Anyways, tails are pretty cool!" Listening to the man more, she kept her grin on her face. "I'm not sure if I'm poisonous," she paused dramatically, "But I sure could test it on you!" Her two fangs glinted in the sunshine and she stuck out her own forked tongue.
Tezi chuckled at the two and looked down at Felicis. "They're like little kids, eh?" she joked. Stepping closer to them, she began to talk. "Sorry to break up this fight, but I'm gonna talk Pom to the park," she informed Selior, "I think Gina is helping somebody else right now." Tezi gazed at Imperium where Gina was absent from her desk. "So we have some time to spare. Want to come?"

"No, not really." Selior quickly replied, his arms folding even tighter. "But I guess I don' have anything else to do." He muttered, followed with a sigh. His will was breaking, obviously, apparent by the fact he didn't barge into the HQ and start throwing things around. Which he at least thought he was certainly capable of.
Felicis shook her head at Tezi a moment and put her hands on her hips. "Nothing wrong with being like a kid. It's the old people that look like they don't have any fun... But.. eh.. A park? We should go to a bar!" She looked at the three with her and frowned. Bar, a word she had recently learned on their way to the HQ, seemed like a place of magic and wonder. They had passed such a place on their way to the HQ, and the jovial, half concious, pigeon marked men messing around inside seemed like excellent marks. Err, friends. But eugh, trees and stuff? "Alright, I guess." She muttered, not sounding too thrilled.
"Oh, this is going to be good. I mean, perfect. I spend half my life stalking people in the thick of forests and my new found puppy has a thing against parks." Selior complained... and really, with his absence of will, he just felt like complaining. He fell back so that he would walk alongside Tezi, unconsciously giving that 'mothers waltzing behind the children' appearance.
Felicis, meanwhile, made her way closer to the serpent girl and looked her over with a wide grin. "Yeah, it's cool... I wonder how fast you are with that thing. The gray rock-stuff don't hurt on you, does it?" She asked, frowning at the concrete. Honestly, these people didn't have a knack for designing pretty walkways. "So, uhm, Pomponeia is it? Kinda a hard name to call out in a hurry, ain't it? I mean, if there was a monster standing behind you and I was trying to warn you I'd barely get through sayin' half your name by the time he ate you!" Felicis said, though her tone of voice hardly suggested that she had a distaste for a name, rather that she was commenting on something humorous she thought up while running the name a few times through her head.

[[ After your next post say we move to a "park" RP thread? :3 ]]
Tezi smiled, an honest smile, at Selior. While he seemed rather rough on the outside, he did care about Felicis... in an odd way. She stared at him for a few seconds, before he met her glance. She looked down at the sidewalk, growing up learning how rude staring was. She walked slowly taking long and almost graceful steps. Her bag swung lazily at her side. It was at that point that she remembered what she had come to the mainland for this day: shopping. And she had blown it off.
Oh well.
"So," Tezi said, breaking the akward silence of their walk. More to the point, she had nothing to say to him. She just hated not talking. "How'd you end up with Felicis?" She bit her lip and was afraid that she had sounded rude.
Not more than fifteen feet ahead of the silent adults, the two girls were chattering like old friends. "My tail?" Pomponeia looked up at Felicis, "Well, it's all rough and hard underneath so I don't really feel too much with it. At least the bottom. Plus these paths are pretty smooth, suprisingly. I always thought they were different..." Smiling modestly, she felt smart. Felicis was sure doing a lot of talking, but Pomponeia didn't really mind. "Hey, I wouldn't be talking Felicis. That's not the fastest name in the world!" she giggled, "You can call me Pom, I guess. I've heard Tezi say my full name before. It was like Severa Pomponeia. Now that's a long name!" Giggling again, she looked at the sky. Suddenly Pomponeia changed the subject, to something more serious.
"This is an odd place, isn't it?" the serpent-girl asked. She answered rhetorically, "I mean... I don't really know how I got here. Well, I kinda do, but I also remember things not being so shiney. And there's this weird thing called a computer. It does things like math for you." She paused and pondered for a moment. "I think that a lot of time has passed, but I don't remember any of it." Pomponeia frowned and looked at Felicis. "What do you think?"
