Who: AearHwesta. Seer. & Valefor
What: a day of swimming at a lake
Where: Mirror Lake. razz
When: After Vale brought Seer to see Aear at home & the subsequent talk about endless & Lily. After the Full Moon, while the kits are becoming teens
Why: to spend time together, see how Seer is getting at swimming, see how she's growing... so in progress growth thing not to have it sudden.
His weather sense had been accurate when setting up this meeting, AearHwesta mused to himself as he flapped his great wings against the breezeless air through the crisp, clear blue expanse of sky. Nay a wind to be caught, an that's the truth. The sailor sighed, gld the call of the sea would really be less of a pull today since the lack of any wind made sailing near impossible. Flying was at least atainable, but it required much more effort than when he could unfurl his wings and coast on the currents of air around him. Oh, they were there -they could never disappear completely for air movement of some kind was constant- but barely and certainly not enought to feel more than a hint of their pressense.
Spotting the location he had described for Valefor. The enclosed body of water beneath him, lightly surrounded by a copse of mountain spires was even more of a mirror than usual due to the absense of winds to ripple its surface. Mirror Lake today looked just like its name: a flat mirror.
Scooping his wings, AearHwesta glided to land on the meadow-like shores surrouding the lake, being mindful of they myriad & scattered trees dotting the area and providing some shade from the bright, clear sun. The nautical ladies' kitsu grinned as he set paw down, eager to see Valefor and the young Seer again.

Valefor flew a bit behind and somewhat below Seer, chuckling quietly a bit at her flying techniques. Seer was getting too big to fit in the carry sac properly and had refused a ride on Valefor's back, claiming she was big enough to fly on her own today. Seeing as her young charge was somewhere in the transition between kit and adolescent, Valefor had decided that she could try it. The Aeon was staying close just in case Seer should fall, however.
She was actually somewhat impressed. Seer had never flown this far on her own before, and they were nearly to the lake. Valefor just hoped the young one had sense enough to land parallel to the lake and not straight at it. Seer's landings were still rather hit and miss at this stage.
Seer grinned to herself. She didn't bob much at all when she flew anymore, though things were still a bit akward. She felt it was mostly because her wings seemed to have had more growth spurts than the rest of her and it was harder than it should have been to use them properly. Valefor had assured her that it wouldn't last long, so she figured if she really practiced now, she'd be an ace at it by the time everything caught up to where it should be.
She spotted what looked like a big mirror ahead and realized they must be almost there. She angled into a bit of a dive, heard Valefor nearly have a heart attack behind her, and leveled over the tree tops. When she got closer, she of course spotted Aear and immediately aimed for him.
Her landing left a bit to be desired. She stumbled a bit on touch-down, momentum keeping her going forward until she softly headbutted into the larger angelic's mass somewhere on the side and promptly sat back with her tails curled around her paws and her wings folded. She chirped merrily at him as Valefor landed with far more grace in her wake, in much too good a mood to feel akward about her ungainly wings or her ungainly entrance.
