Yin padded through the rough forest as silently as he could. It had been a few weeks since the previous battle for his land and his wounds were starting to heal up nicely. Giving his ear a slight twitch at the sounds of the forest he walked along the territory perimeter making sure his markings were still fresh and strong. He did this walk every day to make sure any intruders knew who owned this property and warn them to not step foot without expecting a battle.
The night's sky was dark and starry, not a cloud in sight. The full moon hung low and glowed brightly on the forest canopy with an eerie mood through the air. The silence was thick and Yin could hear himself breath, the most relaxing night he had experienced in a long time. He was glad that there weren't any of the pack members around him at the moment for he never got any time to himself anymore these days.

Dubhán was croutching low, his long tail twitching silently from side to side. His eyes were narrow yellow slits, and his entire body was tensed. He was hunting.
He had followed a fresh rabbit track for the majority of the night. He knew that it was a long time to hunt for such a small prey, but he wasn't neccesarily doing this because he was hungry. No, the feeling of his teeth cutting the main veins, and the loud terrified squeal the rabbit would let out as it happened, was what drove him to do this. It would almost be an understatement to say that he enjoyed killing.
Being so intently focused on the rabbit silently lopping around, he had smelled a foreign odour surrounding the area, but his brain hadn't registered it completely. Had he been walking past this area at any other point, he would have noticed that he was behind a packs border. In fact, he would never have crossed the border in the first place.
But as the case was, he didn't notice. So when he finally made his move and leapt at the chanceless rabbit he had been stalking, he also missed the dark ulaya that had unknowingly been coming his way.

Taken aback by the abrupt leap in front of him, Yin crouched down in a defensive mode and barred his fangs at the intruder. He didn't like others on his land and he most of all didn't like random surprises such as this. He starred down the black Ulaya and waited for him to make a move. Yin didn't care much for the rabbit, even if it was on his land, he didn't want this rude intruder to get away with interrupting him on his relaxed stroll.

Before he landed Dubhán heard the unmistakeable sound of another larger animal. In his surprise at the sudden ambush, he missed the rabbit by a few millimeters.
He heard it squeal in fear and take off, but he paid it no attention. Having whirled around on the spot, twisting his body in the jump, he was now standing face to face with an almost mirror image of himself. Almost anyways, he thought, as he noticed that the other ulaya had tiny white specks in his fur.
As he further studied the creature in front of him, he noticed the barred fangs and the threatening position he had taken. Dubhán narrowed his eyes slightly. What was this? Had someone else been stalking the same rabbit as him again?!
Not feeling up for a fight, he simply roled his eyes and drawled "Oh snap out of it. I'm not going to attack you." Turning around, he started walking away from the other ulaya.

Quite annoyed with his intruder Yin leaped towards him and darted in front of him, forcing him to turn back and leave his land. "You dare come onto my land and turn your back on me?" His raspy voice was deep and angered. "Turn it again and I'll kill you." He didn't take lightly to this one's rude manors and didn't want anything of his sort near his pack. Giving out another snarl he stared down the black Ulaya and waited. "Turn back now if you don't want trouble. I will protect this land and it's residents with my life." He raised an eyebrow with irritation before pausing to see the Ulaya's actions.

Dubhán simply raised an eyebrow. He did not care for pompous self righteous characters. He debated voicing this thought, but in the end didn't. Instead, he mumbled to himself "Ah... so I had entered another pack's land. Thought so much. How unfortunate..."
Returning his attention to the angered ulaya he spoke in a louder voice once again "Listen, mr... who-ever-you-are, I didn't come here to harm your precious pack" at this he snorted. He had never understood how ulayas could possibly stand living around with each other like that. "I've stalked that rabbit all night, and I simply meant to retrieve what is righteously mine. I had my eyes on it before it entered your grounds." he said, his tail flicking slightly in annoyance.

"I don't care about the rabbit, it you my eyes are on." He kept a close watch on the Ulaya, waiting for him to leave his land. Yin knew that if he proceded onto his territory then he would have to use bruit force to get him off his property. Placing his paw onto the ground with a light touch, Yin tried to not show his bruised shoulder. His previous battle with the old owner of the land had him jumpy and he didn't want a single Ulaya standing off against him. A god battle was bad enough, fighting an mere intruder would mean nothing to him.

Dubhán couldn't help but bark out a sharp laugh. "I'm sorry" he drawled "I know I have the looks, but I simply don't bend that way" he smirked cruelly at the other ulaya. He knew that a comment like that would hit home with almost any other male.
Not bothering waiting for a response he continued "And seeing as you don't care about the rabbit, I will simply fetch it and leave again" he turned his back on the other ulaya once again, and said over his shoulder "don't stare too much at my behind now..." knowing fully well that he was heading headfirst into trouble, but right now, he just didn't care. The other ulaya had manged to annoy him enough.

Yin was taken aback and wasn't sure what to say. He always knew that actions were louder then words and he preferred that tactic more anyway. Standing up he idly walked over to the other Ulaya's side and watched him. "Would to ever so dare as pick a fight with a god?" He didn't take these actions as a thread but as a childish pup that needed to learn his manors. Glaring at his shoulder and wanting nothing more then to lunge at him, pushing him off his grounds, Yin controlled himself and watched as the black Ulaya searches for the rabbit. It was long gone for a while and both of them knew it well, he was just pressing for a fight. "One day you'll get your a** kicked and you'll have nobody to cover your back." He snorted out a sly laugh and lifted his chin in pride. "You'll never amount to anything but a selfish child living off small rodents and rabbits." He raised another eyebrow and curled his nose some with a small snarl.

To say that Dubhán wasn't slightly wavered at the new piece of information about this other ulaya would be a lie. However, he quickly pulled himself together again and bit out "Do you really think that will impress me? Perhaps you hoped to make me cover in fear?!" he was raising his voice, and he knew it, but he wasn't about to stay polite now "I think not. Your status means nothing to me."
The second the words stamping him as a selfish child had left the other ulaya's mouth, he whipped around snarling. "I don't need anybody to cover for me" he hissed, his eyes flashing dangerously "I have always been on my own, and I have managed just fine" he calmed himself down a bit before continuing "and if you want a reason for me to hunting rabbits, its because I felt like I." He knew it was weak, but for once, it was actually the truth "I happen to enjoy killing the little buggers, drinking their blood as I feel the life drain from them..."
He narrowed his eyes slightly again another smirk making its way to his muzzle "perhaps you've gotten so used to having a pack back you up oh high and mighty god" he said sarcasticly "that you have forgotten how it is to survive on your own, hm? Or perhaps you were simply born in to the safety of a pack, and has never learned how to stay alive in the wild, when all alone?" he took a few dancing steps, taunting the other ulaya "so what will the god do without his worshippers to help him?"

Slightly amused with the Ulaya's attempts to intimidate him Yin replied calmly. "I have faught for my land and I will die for my land. Pack or no pack, I found it and will kill to keep it mine ... just as I did the god before me." He snarled another growl and lifted his injured paw off the ground. It hurt some to lean on it but not enought to stop him from another fight. "Packs are for pretection and they all turn to me, I don't need anyone." He looked back up and grinned slyly. "Oh perhaps you just haven't met another Ulaya that would push you around and don't care to see what one could do."
Yin took a few steps aside to stretch his muscles. If he was going to fight he would have to be limber enought to last it. "A fight would be useless on your part, only another god could unjur me." He snickered, "Or has nobody taught you that as well? Then a child you will die as." Yin lowered his body in a defensive mode, prepaired to leap at the intruder. "I fight to kill and I kill to protect. I didn't ask them to join me in a pack, they wanted protection." As dark and cruel Yin was he would never jepordize the only Ulayas that had shown him not all are the same.

Dubhán snarled again "I am no child" he spat "I did not know that it was a requirement for a god to be stupid". In fact, I was only allowed the luxury of being a child for a few weeks. He was almost shaking with rage. He did not need to prove himself to this ulaya, he knew it, yet he felt that he needed to correct him in the wrong assumptions he had about Dubhán "I have had to fight for my life since I was a mere kitten simply because of my being different" he hissed as he gestured to his scarred eye "you see that?" he traced one of the claw marks with his own claw "given to me by my own darn parents a few weeks after I was born, may they die a painful death and rot in hell" he spat
Taking a few deep breaths, he steadied himself again. This was not the time to go spilling one's lifestory, and he had no clue what had pushed him to reveal so much about himself in the first place. He narrowed his eyes at the god's defensive stand. Dubháns eyes flashed dangerously again, filled with hatred and malice. His eyes never leaving the god, he sat completely tensed, his claws already slightly out, ready for a possible attack. If the god attacked, he would fight back with all he had. His buttons had been pushed, and although steady, he was still shaking with fury.

Yin watched the body language of Dubhán but didn't feel the need to attack. He had his eyes fixed on the tree behind him, he figured out if you're going to react fast don't look directly at the target. "What a joke." He said with a chuckle as he tossed his head upwards. "You think a little scar is going to intimidate me?" He lowered his head once again and fixed his gaze. "Unless you have a sister like mine you wouldn't know anything about torture and the want of a painful death." This was true, his loving and caring sister drove him over the edge far too many times. "Sometimes living alone sounds good, but you've got to learn boundaries." Turning an ear back and changing his glance to a direct stare into Dubhán's eyes, Yin had no idea why he was event bothering with this juvenile. "and you've crossed them in a bad spot.'
He knew he wouldn't be alone for very long, the pack guardians do the same patrol around the perimeter and they were due to over lap them at any time. He didn't want the interruption of another Ulaya getting in the way of them, he still hadn't figured out why this male was making such a fuss about walking on the other side of his markings.

Dubhán met the black god's stare without hesitation. His eyes were filled with blatant hate and anger, enough to chill any other ulaya to the bone, but of course, this ulaya wasn't any other ulaya. His life was no joke. As a kit, he had had to deal with the fact that he was on his own, or die. The ulayas he had trusted and loved had banished him for being different. So he had learnt not to trust anybody. He didn't understand how the supposed god could be so... stupid. He wasn't trying to intimidate him. Not really.
Inside himself there was a battle of control raging, and he knew he was losing it. With the comment about having brothers or sisters, he snapped. The God had unknowingly pressed the one button that would always make Dubhán go over the edge. He gave a loud snarl and launched himself at the god. He did not care if he couldn't hurt him at the present time, in fact, the thought hardly even crossed his mind as he flew through the air, claws extended. Coliding with the black ulaya, his mind went black, and instinct took over.

Yin was taken aback by the abrupt assult and replied instantly. Lifting up onto his hind legs he swung around and whipped the angered Ulaya into a tree with full force. Now with a looser grip on his maw, Yin reached around with his injured arm and dug his claws into the attacking Ulaya's shoulder, causing blood of massive ammounts to begin pouring out.
"I knew you didn't have self control in you." Yin didn't sound taunting at all, for he had a tone in his voice that seemed as though he had been let down. Yin did nothing more, he released his grip on the black Ulaya's shoulder and stood there, allowing all attacks the other one felt necessary to come forth. He was done with this one, he had no more respect for that Ulaya and didn't want to bother with him and further.
