I work in a pet store, so I don't just have co-workers (pretty much all awesome) & customers (about 1/4 awesome, 1/4 ok & 1/2 stupid &/or nasty), I also have the animals.
So this thread is for amusing work stuff that doesn't fall into the standard co-workers/bosses/customers categories. It could be something you did, something someone else did/said (that isn't necessarily stupid), something you saw some random person do while you were at work, something that randomly happened that wasn't really anyones fault etc.
I have 2 stories to kick start it with!
Mornings & evenings (ie: before opening & after closing) we let the puppies out to stretch their legs. Yesterday morning we only had one puppy, a Cavalier King Charles x Cocker Spaniel named Ruby (she was taken home & brought back & so we still call her Ruby, because she's been "Ruby" for 3 weeks now, we can't be bothered changing it.
Anyway, we let Ruby out & I was cleaning our Ragdoll kitten's pen, while the Ragdoll was in the kitty carrier. He & Ruby started playing through the bars & then we let the Ragdoll out & they started play-wrestling & playing chasies! There was no aggressiveness at all, just playing like litter-mates! So cute!
We got 3 pure Cavalier King Charles puppies in yesterday & tonight we let them & Ruby all out for a play. I have never seen such dumb (yet cute!) dogs in my whole life! We had them in a play pen & then ended up opening the gate as they wouldn't stay in anyway. 2 ran out & the third stood on his hind legs, put his front paws through the bars & whined - the open gate was RIGHT next to him!
Later on I was walking from one end of the store to the other & they all followed me. I walked around the open playpen, Ruby followed me & the other 3 ran straight into it through the open gate, & then when they reached the bars on the far side, they started whining & crying because they thought they were trapped! It was so cute & my co-worker & I both got a good laugh out of it.
