It was just a calm day, where a gentle breeze blew past and barely distrupted the flowers upon the grassy field. Such tranquility almost seemed contageous to any traveler.

Almost.

Upon a ledge which overlooked the scene, one creature stood, his figure noble and proud. His crimson eyes surveyed the area, seeming to run judgement past it before even setting a paw upon the land. There was definitely something about this place which seemed different from other places.

Suicune carefully stepped down from the perch and began to walk elegantly towards the field. It was strange, but instead of feeling the need to run past this place, he felt at ease. It felt like a place where he could rest and relax.

Even now, as he felt such, he was somewhat on his toes, wondering if there was anything which might be deceive or trick him about this place. He hoped such would not be the case as he moved to the taller grasses.

Raikou pawed anxiously at the dirt as he carefully trotted in the woods, searching for a way out without too much worry. His eyes moved slowly in an observant manner when he heard a sound that caused his ears to immediately perk up. A presence close to him he felt. He stood straight and headed northward until he came to a great field. A place of tranquility and serenity. His nostrils took in the deep scent of peace, hopefully he could enjoy this leisure for the time-being, lest a nuisance arise.

The cold weather didn't do much for Entei and he was so glad that winter had finally come to an end. The grass beaneath his paws, now beginning to grow green again, felt wonderful as opposed to the dreadful snow. The noble beast stood near a tree, gazing up at the leaves that were starting to bloom from the branch's bare limbs. It brought a minute smile to his muzzle. He only observed this for a fraction of a second before lowering his head and taking off. Where he had stood the grass was black, burnt to a crisp in the shape of his large paws.

His agile form was only a blurr to anyone who happened to witnessed his running. He nimbly avoided colliding with tree trunks and relished the warm breeze against his masked face. He pressed his wings tightly to his body as to refrain them from holding him back. It were as thought a cloud of smoke billowed from his back and his mane was tossed around behind his head as he went. He wasn't sure where he was going, exactly, but he was going somewhere. The birds chirping from somewhere above him was a wonderful sound. Winter did have one thing going for it: the peaceful quite but that silence grew annoying after a while.

He was quite startled when he burst from the trees and down a very mild slope into the midst of a grassy field. His soft brown eyes wide with mild surprise, the fire creature made a great effort to stop. Not something easily done when you were going to fast. His claws left ugly gouges in the beautiful grass. Ripped up flowers lay off to the side. He blinked and examined what he'd done. He'd ruined such a pretty plot of grass! Feeling mildly sorry for it, Entei looked over his shoulder to find he wason the outskirts of a very large field. This field was chocked full of beautiful flowers and the grass was green and flourishing. His mood brightened as he stood up from his crouched position and peered at the tranquility.

It was almost too good to be true. No, he was just being paranoid. He shook his head with a light chuckle but silenced himself at once. A soft rustling, the sound as faint as the breeze, was coming form the eastern corner. Entei stood in the western one. His ears perking up he looked to the tall grass from where he determined the sound was coming from. He thought he saw something blue amidst the green...maybe his eyes were playing tricks on him. Oh well. Taking a few bounds forewards and sniffing at the air he thought he smelled a familiar scent. "Is someone there?" he inquired. It was obvious someone was but he hadn't known what else to say.

He squint in the direction of the tall grass, finding that the sun was in his eyes and it was agitating him.

He had been swallowed whole by the tall grasses that now surrounded him when a voice seemed to bellow out. He was not deaf, nor was he without his sense of smell. Familiarity swept past all of his senses as he turned towards the voice.

The ever present instinct of needing to run was still tingling in his toes, but he was not a coward and wouldn't run in this particular instance. Standing up tall and proud again, he stated in a tone as clear as the Crystal Bell which he had heard once before "Lest I did not exist, I would say that I am certainly here, dear Brother."

There was no hiding from his brother, for he fully understood and knew that they three did exist. He could fool humans by running away without being seen, just as swiftly as the North wind, but with family, that was a different story.

Despite this acknowledgement, he did not move from his place. Instead, he awaited a response from his sibling. Perhaps this day truly would be more relaxing than he could have imagine beforehand.

Raikou's ears perked up immediately as a voice suddenly reverberated. He recognized this voice, one close to him from long before. The voice of his brother Entei.

Raikou couldn't deny the presence and then heard another voice speak clearly. It was Suicune, the three ends met once again. He took steps foward and could see a cerulean figure within the field and then also caught sight of the familiar sillhouette. He could no longer hold back.

"Dear Brothers, I am here as well."

A kindly laugh reverbrated through the area. It was so loud and booming a few birds took to flight in the nearby trees. "Ah, brothers!" The fire creature exclaimed, his voice as powerful as a volcano that dared to spit fiery magma into the air. His soft brown eyes glittered merrily and he looked to where his sibling of lightening had called from. His eyes met the familiar yellow form with a warm sort of glow and Entei swept a paw under his chest and made a comical bow to them both.

"So wonderful to see you both again," He purred with an amused smile on his muzzle. Drawing his head erect he let his gaze stay trained onto Suicune. Or, well, where he was being hidden by the tall grass. Was he so paranoid of being sighted he wanted to stay hidden? "It's been a while, has it not?" He went on, almost in a bored manner. But he was anything except bored. He noticed he was standing still. He could feel the raw power coursing through his body like static electricity. It unnerved him a bit and thus he began to walk towards Suicune although it didn't help much.

He knew very well what the power wanted. It wanted to consume him but he wouldn't allow it. He drove the thoughts away as he stopped before the tall grass' edge, peering curiously at Suicune.

Suicune's ears only acknowledged the birds and they flew off to their own new destinations, but his crimson eyes remained focused towards the sides. Once he was certain he was within safety, he stepped forward out of the grasses which masked his blue body.

"Mine brothers, it has been many a year since we've seen each other like this."

His eyes wandered towards Raikou, then towards Entei. Both figures were much more powerful in appearance than his own. It was comforting in a sense to see nothing had changed in all the years they had been separated. Yet, despite such comfort, it seemed that he wouldn't relax enough to lay down.

"Speak to me of the journeys you have traveled?" the north wind spoke, almost demanding rather than asking. He was curious, and seemed to lose many manners, despite still holding an air of sophistication as he spoke.

Raikou's joy crackled within his soul as he sprinted towards the field to see his brothers. Laughter coming forth as deep as thunder. After so much time of separation they would be reunited once more.

He slowed a bit as he came closer and came to a full stop. His eyes observant, taking full note of his siblings. Each looking much stronger than they had the last time they had seen eachother yet their time apart seemed to be for the better.

"It has been awhile dear Brothers." Raikou said softly. "I have spent much time wandering, myself Suicune. I came across some humans who tried to tame me and capture me. I was helped by another more compassionate mortal.. But things have been amazing as well. I have seen and heard so much."

The fire lord nodded at Suicune's request, or demand if you'd prefer, but let Raikou tell of his adventure first. While the lightening being spoke Entei examined him with a casual glance. How long it had been since he'd seen them both. Had fate arranged this little meeting? Entei's face obtained a look of mild surprise at Raikou's tale. Although, was it really that surprising?

Entei sighed heavily, turning from his brothers to gaze into the distance. "I too have wandered the land," His voice was solemn as was his face. It looked as if it were etched of stone. "So much so I cannot even express how many steps I have taken," He paused and let the wind rustle the smoke-like mane running down his back.

"I know of the human's arrogance, their lust for power." He blew a ring of smoke into the air and watched it be whisked away by the wind. "It will be their downfall," He added, turning to again face his brothers. "Fortunately I've been lucky enough to keep my exsistence hidden from them." He looked sympathetically at Raikou and smiled lightly.

"And what of your travels, Suicune?" He inquired, his friendly tone having returned. "Hopefully fortune has smiled upon you as it has Raikou and I."

As he listened to the thunder and the volcano lords speak of their own passing of time, the purple mane upon his back began to flutter slightly in the breeze. He knew of the stories of both of his brothers, for though they were many miles apart, he had always lived the same as them as well.

"Mine travels? I have traveled as the North wind whispered to me. With it's aid, it had guided me away from mankind, save for the occasional moment where my aid is needed. To most, if not all humans, I am merely just the myth they hear. The rare few I do allow to see me will wither with time, as do any of mankind."

Stepping forward a few strides, he gazed away again before resuming eye contact with his own blood.

"...I suppose fortune has found its way with all of us, yes Brothers?" The tone, though meant to be far more friendly than usual, still sounded just as serious. He might have been with family, but he was far from ever being able to let down his guard.

Raikou listened to his Fire Brother and then his Water Brother intently. They seemed to face similar misfortunes but thankfully, they all shared the fortune of having been reunited once more. They all seemed so serious. It would be hard to gain trust, even among family, they had all seemed to go through so much.

His mane rustled softly in the breeze as he twitched his tail a bit as he listened to everything said and nodded gravely in agreement. "It most definitely has Suicune, we have had our share of troubles and triumphs but why do we not take advantage of this time together? Who knows when our roaming will bring us together once more."

"Indeed it has, Suicune!" Entei's powerful voice echoed across the meadow yet again. In itself it held the power to intimidate however it was currently filled with too much good humor to do so. He took notice of how Suicune was on guard. He could see it in the way his muscles held the rigidness of a statue of stone. It was not as noticiable as it had been when they had first come across each other.

It was good at least one of them was alert. It wouldn't be too good if someone came across them. Someone like a hunter. But Entei's semi-lax nature wouldn't permit him to worry about such a thing too much at such a time. It was a time for celebration, after all! He turned to Raikou. He had a point. They should use there time wisely for he was sure they wouldn't be with each other any longer.

"Yes," he purred in his monotone voice, taking its volume down a notch as to not cause any of the birds nearby a heart attack. "We should do something," he left the topic up for debate between his two siblings. He hadn't the slightest idea of what they could do. Unless they wanted to have a competition of some sort. Maybe a race. Entei chuckled to himself mentally. He was fast but how could he compare against lightening itself?

He couldn't.
