Kiefer frowned at the weather. He was standing under a tree (which provided rather poor cover), and a fat drop of water dripped directly onto his forhead. It was absolutly pooring, the afternoon sky black with clouds, and you could hardly see because of how thickly the rain was going down. His ears filled with the noise of the rain.
He sighed, wondering what t do. Kiefer didn't care much about the rain, but he certainly wasn't a fan. As a clt he used to dash around, skidding and falling on the mud, having great fun. Now that didn't entertain him as much, and he saw no reason for the rain to be good.
"Lame, lame, lame" he mumbled. Certainly the river would be overflowing, and the ground wouldn't stand a chance from being covered in mud, or puddles. In fact, there was one just to the left of him. He splashed into it lazily with his hoof, only mildly amused by the funny feeling of taking it in and out of the water as it sloshed around.

Auriga flicked her head back, smiling widely as she cantered through the rain. She was soaked and soaked again, but she didn't care. She loved water, and she loved the feeling of the rain. Her wet mane and tail twisted as she ran, water droplets running along her coat, making her shiver slightly at the sensation. She hopped from puddle to puddle, feeling somewhat childish as she giggled whenever she slid in a particularly deep one. She spotted a large tree up ahead, and although that held no interest, the golden coloured Soquili beneath it certainly did catch her eye. Breaking into a gallop, she headed towards the tree.

Kiefer continued to brute. Off in the distance, he thought he heard something, like a louder splashing, and maybe even giggling. It could be a foal, of course, but in such rain, who could really tell what was someone, and what was just the rain, or a branch falling.
Just in case, he squinted a bit. It looked like it was begining to thunder, and the foal might be scared by this, and they probubly shouldn't be off in such rain anyway. He ventured out a bit, and soon he saw something coming torwards him. It was not a foal, however, but a mare. It surprised him a bit, but he knew some soquili were simply care free like that.
As she moved closer, he saw her a bit better. Her dark color nearly blended in completely too the gloomy backroud, but he could see a bit of her white and dark blue mane and tail, as well as star marking. But even in the rain, she seemed as bright as any soquili on the nicest day in the year.
Wierdo.

Auriga noticed that the golden Soquili was a stallion, and obviously a curios one as he stepped out of the shelter of the tree to get a better look at her. she smiled slightly, as a loud thunder clap echoed through the skies. Slowly down to a trot, she dipped under the tree and stood by the trunk, looking back at the stallion.
"Not a fan of the rain, stallion?" She said with a slightly cheeky grin.

"No, not particularly. Seems like you just love it, eh?" he said, not impolitly, but still not entirly enthusiasticly. He didn't like when people tried to cheer him up, even if they have full right to try. Kiefer wasn't often grumpy, he was usually quite fun loving, but when he got grumpy, he prefered to be left alone.
"So what brings you around here?" he said, deciding that he would rather be annoyed then a complete jerk. After all, she made the effort to come over, and if his parents had taught him anything, it was that you should always be polite to a lady, even if you get annoyed.
Not that his father had followed this or anything, in fact, from what he heard, his father hadn't treated mares very well on a regular basis, including his mother and a few others. He was nice to her now, of course. Maybe that was why he was always told to be polite, so he didn't make the same mistakes. Kiefer had a way of learning things the hard way, though.

Auriga pouted a little and tilted her head. "I didn't think anyone truly hated the rain... Perhaps it catches us on days where sunshine would be better to lift our mood, but I guess I must be a little strange to always love the rain..."
Auriga turned to face him fully, and managed to get a good look at him in the process. His green eyes caught her attention, standing out brightly again the gold and brown of his coat.
"You looked so bright against this dull day, and I didn't want to seem ignorant by simply cantering by..." Auriga chuckled slightly as a flash of lightning broke out of the clouds, lighting up their faces for a moment. "What about you? Did you get caught in the rain and decide to wait it out?"

"I don't hate it. Just never puts me in a good mood" Kiefer flipped his wet hair out of his eyes a bit. That was the problum with his hair length, enough to get in his eyes, but not enough to just flow down. Of course, he doubted his father would be very happy if he had long flowing hair.
He was a bit taken aback by her comment. He had never really been complimented before, and he was unsure if that was even a compliment. Sure, his grandmother had called him cute and handsom as a foal, but that was his grandmother, so it didn't really count.
"Er...thanks? And don't worry about it. You only looked a bit ignorent" he said, giving her a joking smile. Maybe she could lift his moods a bit. "Yea, got caught. It really is pooring down though...but it isn't like I had anywhere to go. " he said.
Kiefer had decided a long time ago that he would just travel around on his own for a bit. He didn't like the feeling of worring about being too far from home, and he really didn't mind just settling down where ever he ended up. It wasn't any different to him, really. Although he did have a vauge feeling of detachment, as if he wasn't comfortable anywhere.

Auriga nodded. "I won't say the rain has worsened an already and mood of mine before! But today, even the thunder isn't bothering me.." She smiled, mirroring him and flicking her wet forelock out of her eyes.
"A bit ignorant?!" Auriga laughed good-heartedly. "Why, I am hurt!" She teased, glad this stallion had a sense of humor even when he said he was in a bad mood.
"Very true..." Auriga cast her eyes past him and noticed that there really was no other shelter out here. Not that they could see far anyway, with the heavy black clouds almost rolling across the ground.
"Oh! I am being ignorant! I never even introduced myself... My name is Auriga..."

Kiefer rolled his eyes a bit interntally. Not in the entirly cruel way, though. This kind of soquilis made him laugh. How could they be so carefree? Of course, maybe it was just the rain that caused her to act all giddy like this. Odd to like the rain this much, though, wasn't it?
"Oh, don't worry about it, Auriga. I'm Kiefer" he said, giving a little joke-bow. "Pleaed to meet your aquantince." he only joked around with his family, usually, but that was mostly because all the soquili he had met had been quite tightly wond. He was a joker at heart, and eve as a foal his family hadn't bee able to control his rebelious attitude. Of course, that was a whole different story.
"So why so happy in the rain?" he asked, still wondering. Whenever the weather was bad, most couldn't help but be in a bad mood. What was fun about being soppy and smelly and dirty? Nothing, really.

Auriga shrugged slightly and stepped out from under the shade, looking skywards. "I'm not sure... I've just always loved water... lakes, rivers, waterfalls, ponds... and of course rain... I'm not so crazy on all the mud that comes with it though.." She chuckled slightly and looked back at him. "And the night sky... I love that, too..."
She gave herself a shake and padded back under the tree. "What about you...? Where were you heading before this weather caught you, Keifer?"

"Ah, I like water too. Like rivers and the ocean....rain...not so much. Having the stupid water pounding on me is not something I fancy. Just kinda...annoying" he said, as another trop hit him on the ear.
"Me? Oh, nothing at all, accually. Just exploring. I havn't been around these parts before...are you farmiliar with them?" he asked. It seemed the father he got from his 'home', the more interesting the soquili were that he met. Not that his family or friends were uninteresting, but it was that they had gotten a bit boring to him, and new friends were fun.
He looked around, wondering if he could get back home if he even tried. Probubly not. But did he really care? Sure, he missed his parents, but he was bound to run into them at some point. They had never really gotten a concreate home either.

Auriga shook her head. "I was just running, seeing where my hooves took me... I'd say I was far away from home, but I guess I don't really have one.." She smiled. She wasn't sad that she had nowhere to call home, she found it far more interesting to just go where she felt like she wanted to. However, it did make it very difficult for her to make friends...
"Were you heading to anywhere familiar after this? If not, perhaps we could go a wander together? Exploring can be more fun with four eyes instead of two.." She chuckled a little, her silver eyes lighting up on cue as another flash filled the skies.

"Same here, I guess. I live very far from here. I guess you could call it a home. I mean, that is where my parents raised me. I don't feel much of a special connection to it, though." he said, shrugging. It was true.
"Nope, no where" he looked out from the trees, lightening flashed again, followed by thunder. "But would you really want to go out and about in such weather?" Normally Kiefer questioned nothing. In fact, he was eager to take risks. But it wasn't the risk of getting struck by lightening that held him back. He just wasn't in the mood.

Auriga smiled and nodded in agreement. "As much as I like rain, I don't want to get frazzled..." She laughed slightly and settled herself down near the trunk of tree, finding a cosy spot inbetween some prominant roots...
"So where is home then? No mare waiting for you to return?" Auriga asked quizzically, tilting her head to the side. Usually, she wasn't so nosy, but this stallion seemed quite similar to her, so she figured he wouldn't mind a bit of prodding, so long as she didn't ask too much.

Kiefer couldn't help but laugh outwardly at the question. He had never considered himself to be the type to have a, well. 'Mare waiting for him'. In fact, he had never even considered that he ever would.
"No, definetly no mare waiting. Unless you count my mother and possibly my sisters, although I think they have gone on their own quite a ways by now as well." he said, still laughing. "It is...hmm. Well, just a long way back, I guess. No particular place. But like I said, I don't know if I could even consider that a home anymore. I mean, It would be so weird living there."
He didn't feel like he was getting too personal. That was just how Kiefer was, he didn't care much about how other people saw him, weather it be be a weird guy, a mean guy, a nice guy, odds were he wouldn't see them again anyway. Although he rather not be seen as mean, even if he was. The thought of others hating him never pleased Kiefer.
"What about you? You must have been somewhere before you were here? Any home?" he said, wondering if this was a bad question to ask. His parents had told him he was quite lucky to have such a family, because it was not uncommon for foals to grow up alone, with out any parents. They said he should be happy that he dosn't just have parents, but grandparents, and aunts, and uncles, and cousins.
