 Sand crunched under black converse as Kristina wandered through the lands. She wasn't sure why she'd come to a place that looked so much like hell had torn through it, nor did she know how, but she had. She looked around, seeming quite bold on the outside, eyes narrowed and jaw relaxed. But her heart trembled softly. Something about his place was freaking her out, and not even singing would make it better.

Aveshar dosed, dreaming of blood-soaked shadows, and twitched. Twitched, and woke. Something walked in his lands. Something he did not know. No. Someone.
A lioness.
With a slow, seductive smile he swayed to his paws, stretching and striding forward. His height and musculature was impressive, lean bodied and rippling definition... Large paws, sharp claws.
An even sharper temper.
Time to play...
"Stranger...." He purred, crooned, whispered on the wind.
"Stranger...."

Kristina's eyes wandered over the lands, over and over again. Though she knew she was not going in circles, everything seemed to look exactly the same.
Kristina's jaw clenched and her eyes shot around rapidly, looking for who had called. She tugged her jacket more snuggly around her throat, a sense of security to her, and called back with a loud, unfaultering voice. "If you call me, show yourself."

He could have laughed aloud at her challenge, but contented himself with a smile. She had guts, this one... It was a rare trait, but he had been fortunate to find two or three females with a backbone. They amused him... This lass, well, she was a bit different, wasn't she? She wore things on her... Hmmm... Most peculiar...
"I will show myself." He purred. "Because I wish to, not because you demand it.."
Nevertheless he appeared, stretching and striding toward her. She was lost, he could see it in her eyes. Not a surprise, his lands were... Well.. To say confusing would put it mildly. They were shadows and darkness within mist within shadows and darkness...
He liked his home, it suited him... And made everyone else leave... Perfect.
"Greetings." He purred with a wicked laugh rumbling beneath the words.

Kristina took in everything she could about him as he emerged from the shadows. She kept her jaw clentched and boldly moved her blue-green eyes to meet his glowing orbs. She would not show weakness, but she would stay on her gaurd. Last time she'd come across a male such as this she'd almost thrown herself into an unnessicary battle that she would have surely lost.
"Hi." she answered curtly. A slight gust of wind pushed her mane a bit further over her right eye, how it was often worn for her, but it did not make it any harder for her to watch this male. She knew she was on his territory now, and it would be unwise to let anything distract her.

Ooooh, wasn't she a grumpy one? He arched an eyebrow and smirked. Her tone was short, clipped... And as she watched him, he shifted from paw to paw and considered her. He'd never seen her before... What a strange lioness! Why did she have those, things, on?
"Who are you?" He rumbled, deciding to skip to an important question rather than ponder over the ones that really didn't matter. "Why are you here?"
Was she really lost, or had she walked into his realm willingly? If so... His muscles rippled and claws unsheathed with a hiss, cutting into the ground, then disappearing into his black paws again. Not yet...

She considered his questions. She was on his land, and so they were reasonable. It couldn't hurt to answer them, could it? "My name's Kristina."
She watched his claws unsheath just to watch them dissappear again. Her lip twitched in irritation. What was it with territorial males? "And I hadn't been paying attention when I'd wandered here. My thoughts her... elsewhere." In all honesty she had been thinking about her parents, where they were, what they were thinking. Did they know she was alive?

Aveshar smiled and shrugged. "Kristina? Hmm... This is a poor place to wander little lioness... Things here..."
He shook his head in mock sadness. "Well, some wander in here and do not leave again..."
He considered her, pacing around her in a circle. What was it with lionesses wandering into his land? It wasn't the most inviting place in the Lands... Not even close...

"Thanks for the warning but I'll be leaving whenthe time comes." She said boredly. These little threat males gave were getting old as well. "Maybe I'll go find some of these others you speak of and we'll al just leave together. Could use company."

Well, she was a naive thing! Considering her for a moment, then deciding she was actually serious, the Dark King arched an eyebrow, and laughed at her... Shaking his head and chuckling, he paced around her again. "Not an option my dear.."
He shrugged, then sneered. "They're dead..."
His expression took on a thoughtul mask. "Or satisfied members of my Pride... Either way they won't go anywhere.. I keep what I claim..."

Kristina raised a brow with a smirk. "Goodie. Zombie-friends. We can go chase to the end of rainbows together." She flicked her rainbow flakes, stressing the rainbow idea.
"I'm sure your pride members are ecstatic about being claimed like little toy soilders. They can march to your beat all they want but this place is UUUUUgly, and I couldn't stand to live here." She gave a mocking helpless expression.

He couldn't help it, he laughed. She was so ridiculously snippy, so self-righteous... She tried to act like this place didn't scare her, like she didn't care if her presence here made him angry...
Could a King request one to stay and be the Court Jester?
She'd have the job in a minute.
"Saucy little thing aren't you?" He grinned. "You're feisty when you're riled, I respect that.... Kristina, wasn't it? You are most amusing... If you would like, I could escourt you to the border... There are no rainbows here..."

"What a shame, I thought rainbows would suit you perfectly. Would really bring out your eyes." She batted her lashes and then scowled, as if disgusted. "Why should I trust you to take me anywhere, you could lead me into all kinds of traps." Though I'm sure I'd lead myself into plenty of traps if not guided as well... she added in her mind silently. She had to admit this place did completely throw off her sense of direction and it was getting chilly. Relunctantly she pulled down her sleeves until only the very tips of her toes were visable.

He arched a doubtful brow, silver eyes glinting. Rainbows? Bring out his eyes? Perhaps she was just... Odd... Or stupid... Or just trying to be a saucy brat of a female... She was certainly succeeding...
Aveshar smiled with vindictive sweetness. "If I wanted you to stumble into a trap, I'd let you blunder about yourself... If I wanted you to stay, I'd let you wander around by yourself... As amusing as you are, I would very much like you to leave my lands... The easiest way to ensure that you do, is to remove you from these lands myself..."

"Aw do I agrivate the big bad king?" She made a sad face. "I think my little feelings are hurt. Here I was trying to be a...a..a..." she gave a fake sniffle and a silent sob, "A good guest, and it was all for n-n-nothing!" She covered her face with a large paw, her long black hair shadowing laughing eyes.
