Several thousand years ago the immortal Sidhe, the courts of fairies and elves and all those now held to be mere legend, ruled the earth with their magic. Immortal, beautiful, and cruel, they bowed to no one, and were worshipped as gods, gaining even more power than ever before... For the Sidhe gain their powers from the elements and belief in them. But as time passed, humans began to rebel against their cruel reign, and used their new-found strength to push them back into their Fairie-Mounds, banning them from the upper world...
Treaties were formed between the humans and Sidhe... The humans would no longer attack the Sidhe, and the Sidhe would let the humans be. The humans would stop using Sidhe magic, and the Sidhe would stop casting glamours on themselves to seduce humans and enslave them. The humans would still believe in the Sidhe, but they were no longer allowed to meddle in human affairs without permission...
And soon the law came to pass that the Sidhe were no longer allowed to be Gods, because of the abuse of the magical powers...
The Treaty continued for thousands of years, though the humans began to forget the Sidhe, and the Sidhe, in their Mound-Worlds began to ignore the humans more and more... Soon, both races were nearly forgotten to each other...
But there were some who were just not content with being forgotten...
In the year 2000, on the night of Samhain, the Sidhe new year, their queen, Mab, was slaughtered by human magic. The Fairy went into an uproar, some blaming it on humans, others blaming it on a conspiracy. For seven years, the allotted time for the council to discuss one issue, they argued, in vain, for no conclusion was met. Finally, a group of the remaining old gods, headed by Zeus, took nearly half the Sidhe court, and went aboveground to regain their lost empires. The remaining group sent out warriors to bring them back, led by the former Queen Mab's son, Eirshin, but he was never seen again.
Now, leaderless, the Sidhe, both Deities and Elders, struggle for survival, searching for an heir to the throne, searching for homes, power, strength, security, and hope.
Come, join in this war. Become a Deity, a former god, or and Elder, the wisest of the Fae, or even be a human, a mere watcher of unfolding events... But sometimes even watchers have some things they can do.

Types of Sidhe:
Light: Light Sidhe are usually depicted as tall, graceful, and delicate, inspiring authors like Tolkin and various other fantasy writers who portray them as kind, just, and pure. This view is somewhat tainted, because while they do strive to do good, they can hold very twisted views on what is right or wrong. They are the most politically active group, trying to keep their power. They can actually be quite manipulative and calculating, making many other sidhe distrust them. "Even the light has shadows these days," is a statement portraying the actual situation of the Light Sidhe.
Dark: These are the Vampires, the daemons, the Were-creatures, the Shadows, all those usually associated with darkness and evil. While it is true that they usually have 'dark' personalities, they can rarely be truly evil. Instead they are mostly self-pleasing and self-reliant, keeping no ties and holding no loyalties. They are however, honor bound to keep their promises once they are made, which is why they go to ridiculous extremes to avoid making them. But if you can get one to make a promise, they keep it.
Earth: One of the more popular versions of the Sidhe, the Earth spirits are friendly, fun loving, caring and loyal. They love family, and will do anything to protect their loved ones. The gods from this group were usually fertility deities, and there are many humans who can trace their lines back to some earth based Sidhe at some point or another. They are, however, somewhat jealous of their mates, and it is not unheard of them killing those that are believed to betray them. In fact, it is quite normal for them to do so, causing many misunderstandings among them.
Fire: They are known for many things, but being peace-loving is most certainly not one of them. They are the first to go to battle, and the last to leave. They have high endurance, flexibility, and a bloodthirsty disposition. Many conquerors and warriors had a fire Sidhe for a father or mother or some other close relative. The most notable have been Caesar, Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan, and even Adolph Hitler. They are usually promiscuous once they hit adulthood, settling down and marring only for true, honest, pure love that they will be willing to die for.
Water: The most graceful and lovely of the rest of the fey, they are also the coldest, rarely showing emotions and only marring and bearing children when it suits them. They can also be extremely cruel and brutal, leaving scars that last entire lives. They are deep creatures, however, thinking of themselves as a mere drop in the ocean, thinking more of the future generations than themselves. But when they love, they love with a fierce passion, often wasting away when their love dies. Love like that is rare among them, though. Having a water sidhe's love is a great blessing.
Air: Fun-loving and pleasure seeking, these Sidhe are lithe and lovable. They love anything that makes them happy, even if it is detrimental to themselves. Many have lost their lives doing foolish things, one of the most memorable of which was one pixie strapping himself to a rocket to see how far he could go without exploding. He didn't last long. Air sidhe are wanderers by nature, like the wind itself, never liking to stay in one place. Being in the Mounds did not suit them, which is why many of them left with their leader, Zeus, to find fresh air and unending horizon.
Royalty: These do not have any real element, but have a great power unique to them alone, allowing them to rule. They have a council with the leaders from each element meeting with each other, and discussing. The loss of the royal family has left a huge gap in Sidhe life, as all their power is tied directly to their beloved rulers.
Current Council Members: Light, Lilia. Dark, Dracula. Earth, Demeter. Fire, Blaze. Water, Nicca. Air, Osiris. Royal, none.

Rules:
1: While this story does need lots of interaction, please, write more than one sentence responses to one character talking to another. 2: USE PROPER GRAMMER!!! No lols, srys, n/ms, no leet, no nothing like that. Write the whole word, and please make sure its spelled correctly. 3: If you are going to have character relationships of a romantic nature, please do not disclude other players. Keep it a GROUP activity, not a presonal thing. 4: While there can be swearing, please keep it to a minimum. No "F*&^ING B*$ C&^%!" or things like that. Also, no swearing in every post. Just like most people do not swear unless hightly agrivated, do not make you character swear unless highly agrivated. 5: There can be some sexual innuendos, TO AN EXTENT!! If its just to make a funny joke, then fine. But if you make it too crude, I will go and edit it, whether you aprove of the changes or not, so watch it. 6: If at any time it gets too boring, I reserve the right to go and make something happen to keep things interesting, so don't let that happen. 7: You can make more than one character, but I would prefer if it stays an even number of boys and girls, so try to keep it boy-girl, girl-boy pattern please. 8: You MUST post at least once a week for EVERY CHARACTER YOU HAVE, so you can have like 12 people, but then you have to post 12 times a week at least, so I would suggest having 3 people at most. 9: If you do not post, first I will issue a warning, then I will post for you (as in I will do what I want with your character), and if you continue to not post for more than 4 weeks, I will effectively immobilize (here menaning kill off, or put into hybernation of some sort) your character. 10: If you cannot, for any reason, no longer play, either permanently or temporarily, you can send me what you want to happen with your character and I will finish it for you. As in like I will kill him/her off, put him/her into hybernation, etc., etc. 11: Follow the character sheet I have provided, fill it out, and then send it to me so I can post it up. Player: (Your username) Name: Age: Race: Following: (as in like Deitiy, Elder, Neutral, ect.) Apperance: (Please provide a picture for you character so we can get an idea of what he/she looks like) Powers: Bio: (History of your character) 12: I am the Goddess here, so what I say goes. Since the death of her beloved ruler and close friend, Queen Mab, Lilia has done her best to hold the council together, becoming the temporary leader. However, his ideas were often overlooked. Though he did not murder Queen Mab he openly expressed how much he disliked her. Blaze wanted to rule and felt he could do it better, which often led the others to scorn him. Blaze's foolishness often gets him into trouble, but he always manages to get out. Her finger tips gently touched the surface of the water. She began to lightly tap on it making small waves form splashing against each other like men argueing. She calmed it making it slow and tranquile. The water rised from the pool forming a small person. It began to walk through the waves up steps to a flat surface of water. Tapping its feet it danced, slowly and gracefully. Though it had no face the movements of it showed emotion, as if it were a person. A small amount of water wrapped around her finger, she pulled it up. It took the shape of a boy, fairy boy. Her eyes watched as the two danced lifting their feet together in time. She knew the dance well, she had practiced it for almost all of her life. The figures bowed then vanished as they fell to the water. She stood on her feet, looking up into the sky. The air rubbed against her cooling her from the sun that beat down. She had made to the entrance. Her eyes sparked as she looked around. A small forest lay infront of her and behind a lake, streaching from what looked like mountains in the distance to a small river that poured its water into the lake.

Lilia sighed as she sat down in the Council Chamber. She slowly looked around the large, ornate room, at all the thrones there. The Dark Throne, mysterious and exotic looking, with engraved creatures of the Night, the smooth, graceful throne of the water, letting the light sparkle off its diamond surface. The Earth Throne, its plush cushions sitting on a huge magical tree whose branches shaded the dark throne. Then the Air throne, with its fanciful designs and precious jewels. The Fire Throne, carved out of a huge ruby, formed to look like the entire throne was made from flames. And finally, her own. It was a tall, magnificent creation, depicting the passing of the moon and stars and sun, with the Great Star at its top. But Lilia no longer thought it beautiful. It made her feel tired and beyond her years every time she looked at it, remembering how many hours she spent trying to keep the Council together. Especially trying to keep Blaze, the Fire Lord, from going out and burning every human creation (as well as the humans themselves) to the ground.

The doors to the Council chamber burst open and Blaze stormed in. He was in his typical bad mood. He walked over to his throne and sat forcefully, rubbing his temples. It took him a minute to realise he wasn't alone. "Lilia?" He asked, slightly suprised, and then smirked slightly. "Were you wanting peace and quiet? I'm terribly sorry." His was thick with sarcasm. "Why are you here? There isn't anyone to command."

Lilia refused the very strong urge to go and smack that annoying smirk off his arrogant face. Instead she kept her calm poise about her and answered in an angelically sweet voice, "I'm here in the attempt to keep our people from ripping each other's jugulars out of their throats, an attempt that you have shown relatively little interest in." Her right eyebrow arched gracefuly in question. "Or perhaps that it what you truly desire and therefore have no place in this Council?"

Blaze engaged in her challenge with one of his own. "Sitting in an empty room won't be enough to stop the bad blood circulating between our kind and the humans." He said nonchalantly. "I...just want to make it as painless for the humans as possible." His calm expression became serious. "Lilia, I'm tired of just sitting around. You can't HOPE for peace. And you definately can't achieve it sitting in this room. We fight or we give up. It's as simple as that."

Lilia sighed as she leaned back into her chair. "Its... not as simple as that, Blaze. Without a ruler to guide us, all the different races will go their own ways, causing dissention and chaos among ourselves, and the humans. The council does not have the power to declare war on its own, and if any of us break away, then our people will follow, leading to formentioned chaos. That is why the council was formed in the first place. To prevent the chaos from occuring. She rubbed her temple with her hand. "Not to mention that all the humans believe us to be nothing more than fantasy. If we suddenly bring our army to the surface, they will all panic, use those vile 'nukes', as they term them, and destroy all life within a thousand mile radius. It would just be better if we cut off the power to those in the Above World."

"Then we find a ruler and soon." Blaze said. It was apperent that he was trying to keep himself calm. "Better yet, make one of the council the leader! Just waiting and hoping for an hier isn't going to help us! We need someone now! Someone who knows how this place should be run! And maybe, if the we proved to humans we still exist, if we reminded them who's REALLY in charge then maybe...." Blaze stopped, realising his voice was rising. "Maybe we could go to the Above world and rule from the lands we used to own. Do you honestly think powerless humans could stand up to this?" Blaze held out his palm and watched as flames began to appear. "And do you think they even would stand up to us if faced with THIS..." He held out his hand and a long stream of fire circled the council room and bounced harmlessly against the stone walls before returning to Blaze's hand. "It would be so easy to take back the land of the Above World. The humans have weapons, big deal. We have that and so much more." He got up from his seat and walked over to Lilia sitting on the table in front of her throne. "Besides, without a leader, who's stop use from declaring war? The council had no power to do so WHEN we HAD a leader. Now look around. We have no leader and we're in charge. My army is ready anytime. Who's to stop us? Queen Mab only exists in our dreams now where she should be. Peace and harmony never suited beasts and daemons. Our purpose is war." He reached out and ran his fingers along Lilia's cheek. "That is our only purpose. The strong are meant to conqure the weak and the weak are meant to be ruled by the strong. That was something the Queen didn't get. The humans need someone to rule them. Who better than someone stronger than they are?" He got up and started walking for the door. "My men are getting anxious. If you wait too long Lilia, even I won't be able to stop their bloodlust." He then closed the large door as he left.

Lilia glared at the back of the door as Blaze trode out of the room. Her eyes narrowd, and she stood up with a furious expression. She summoned her magic to her, and she was transported ot her quarters. Striding to a huge ornate mirror opposit her bed, she used her magic to allow her to pass through the mirror into a room filled with her spell books and potions. Briefly browsing through some of the books, she pulled one out, and leafed through it. Finally seeing the one that she wanted, she went to the other mirror she held in her room, and began to chant. When she felt the magic take hold, she closed her eyes and let it flow around her. When it was done, she opened her eyes and she looked... human. Her normaly sliver hair was not platinum blond, her robes changed into blue jeans and a light pink tee-shirt. Her slippers where replaced with pink flip-flops, and her usually magical auroa was gone. She sighed, as she used another spell to transport her to the Above World. "You want a ruler, Blaze... I'l get you a damn ruler."

BLaze laughed as he walked the nearly empty corridors. He really ticked Lilia off that time. He turned down a cooridor on his left and passed through the doors. Stairs, carved into the wall led downwards and fire and lava kept the place burning hot. Blaze walked over to a bed that was a mattress ontop of stone and laid down.
